Zhong Bai becomes True Immortal Qianyuan's disciple in Maoshan's Law Enforcement Hall. His initial goal is practical rather than grand: he wishes to reach Foundation Establishment, descend the mountain, and avenge his deceased parents. Although he begins with respectable talent, his year-long struggle to achieve minor accomplishment in the Supreme Clarity Body Forging Art convinces him that he is not an unmatched genius. 3 4 8

Qianyuan supports his training with food, pills, instruction, and access to Maoshan's cultivation resources. Zhong Bai chooses the Divine Firmament Five Thunder Art as his main technique, then later obtains the Supreme Clarity Dragon Elephant Art to strengthen his body. 3 6 14
