Yan Nu sat on the wall that day, a blade of grass dangling from his mouth as he gazed into the distance.

Steam rose from the bowl, and Yan Nu picked it up and drank it down, finishing it in one gulp.

Sure enough, sitting in her palm were the grass seeds Yan Nu had eaten that year.
