Background

Miaohan was raised as Zhu Xiazhi's daughter and Le Qin's child within the Zhu Family. During the family's attempted southern migration, she opposed the decision because she believed it would lead to disaster. When persuasion, emotional appeals, and provocation failed, she was confined at the end of the caravan. 95

At fifteen, she had scarcely traveled beyond her home, yet was already well read in politics, strategy, and cultivation matters. She concluded that remaining within the Zhu household would never resolve its deadlock, so she used Yan Nu's group to sabotage the migration without harming her family: fourteen empty luxury carriages were burned, while two supply carts were taken as part of her larger plan. 96 97

She initially believed that she and Yan Nu were siblings separated during a snow disaster and that she had been sold into the Zhu Family as an infant. After Le Qin revealed that both children were wondrous beings discovered by Elder Jiang, Miaohan proposed a different possibility: Yan Nu might be the true wondrous being, while she became the sole medium required to activate his adaptation. 98 99

That theory was later confirmed in part. Miaohan's inner changes trigger evolutions in Yan Nu's traits, while she herself possesses the hidden trait Absolute Person. 175

Miaohan is a refined young woman with a clear, elegant face, smooth fair skin, and dark hair that falls over one shoulder. She commonly wears crimson robes, though she frequently adopts male scholar's dress for convenience in military and political affairs. 98 102

Although she is compassionate toward civilians and loyal to those close to her, Miaohan can be ruthless when she believes it necessary.
