The following records describe growth within individual species, not a single cultivation sequence shared by all Demon Beasts.

Classification and Relative Strength

• Rank does not guarantee physical strength. The Parasitic Demon Tendrils ranked among the strongest Demon Beasts, yet its unhosted body struggled with strength barely comparable to a high-level Spirit Beast 514.
• Assimilation boosts are not a beast’s actual attributes. Lin Sheng explicitly distinguishes the benefits he receives from a creature’s own combat capabilities 113.
• “Demonic Beast” also appears in a cultivation warning: a human whose beast nature overwhelms human nature may become a half-human, half-beast being, or mutate further into a Strange Beast 201.

Abilities and Skills

Physical and Elemental Talents

• Demon Beast abilities vary by species rather than following a universal set. The Brahma Crimson Fire Bull specializes in strength and flames, while the Dragon Whisker Teng Snake emphasizes speed and destructive power at the expense of durability 331 385.
• The Mystic Eye Golden Centipede possesses poison capable of dissolving iron and melting gold 187.
• The Blazing-Eyed Flame Dragon lives in underground magma and feeds on magma currents 194.
• The Mysterious Shadow Ghost Wolf controls profound yin energy through a vertical eye between its brows 406.

Mental Influence and Beast Control

• The Phantom Demon Beast can control Strange Beasts below its own rank. Given sufficient time, its presence produces a large-scale beast calamity 93.
• Its demon seeds function as weaker clones possessing most of its abilities. They can rapidly strengthen themselves by absorbing living creatures’ flesh and blood 123.
• The Deep Marsh Ghost Shark has unusually powerful mental abilities. Its singing incapacitated Divine Form fighters aboard a ship, while its Filthy Speech talent allowed Lin Sheng to control nearby fish after integration 372 373.
• Demon Beasts are not universally immune to intimidation. Lin Sheng later commanded one through Suanni’s Might and subdued ten captured beasts through fear 504 522.

Parasitism and Survival

• Complete Phantom Demon Beasts have no fixed form, can transform freely, and possess enough vitality to survive with only a small portion of their bodies remaining 421.
• The Parasitic Demon Tendrils can inhabit another creature and wield some of its abilities. Its most remarkable recorded host was the corpse of the Void Beast Muddy Earth Earthworm Emperor 514.
• Exceptional vitality does not mean immortality: the Blazing-Eyed Flame Dragon discovered beneath Great Cui Peak had died after reaching the end of its lifespan 194.

Bloodlines and Purebloods

Inherited Bloodlines

• Da Huang carries a minute trace of Di Wen Dog blood. Sustained consumption of Spirit Beast flesh awakened danger perception and gradually increased its potential 94 145 258.
• Da Huang eventually became a Wind Listening Dog, a Spirit Beast whose profile retained a slim possibility of ancestral reversion through a great opportunity 291.
• Consuming powerful blood is dangerous. A Purple-Striped Thornfish became a high-level Spirit Beast after swallowing Ink Sea Dragon Crab blood, but its inability to refine the blood’s demonic nature condemned it to eventual bodily collapse 368.

Pureblood Demon Beasts

• Purebloods were uncommon even before the great erosion calamity and became rarer afterward. Only certain major powers continue to raise genuine examples 717.
• Their rule power is purer, and their affinity for it exceeds that of ordinary Demon Beasts, Mutation Beasts, and Eerie Beasts. Andy recommends them for secret-method cultivation because their use carries lower risks 717.
• Inferno Purebloods are especially scarce on Sunstar. The best-known lineage is the Six Hells Demon Hounds, associated with the Crimson Prison Society’s Prison Wheel 726.
• The Six Hells Demon Hounds’ king is a Desolate Tier Demon Beast and guardian Dharma King reputed to have swallowed a Wasteland Martial God of War alive 726.
• The Ember Inferno Ghost Wolf’s injured true spirit and disordered aura initially caused others to mistake it for a contaminated Variant Mutation Beast 726.

Materials and Cultivation Uses

Ore Seeds

• Demon Beast Ore Seeds preserve the essence blood of powerful beasts and are exceptionally rare and valuable 187.
• Prolonged feeding on one strengthened an Earth Armored Beast far beyond its peers and gave it a chance to break its existing limitations 186.
• A small quantity of Mystic Eye Golden Centipede blood increased Lin Sheng’s Third Imprint activation by nearly ten percentage points, bringing it to 75% 187.
• Lin Sheng recovered three intact Blazing-Eyed Flame Dragon ore seeds from magma, but initially lacked the Constitution and Clear Mind necessary to integrate them 194.

Flesh, Blood, and Remains

• Demon Beast meat replenishes blood and qi and strengthens the body even for Divine Form martial artists. Its energy can also cause dangerous cultivation instability if consumed excessively 433.
• The Southern Qi Imperial Treasury stores sealed Demon Beast blood and preserved carcasses. Lin Sheng consumed blood from hundreds of jade bottles, using nearly half its supply to activate his fifth body-entry mark 405 406.
• Advanced Mimicry allows Lin Sheng to reproduce Demon Beast traits from their flesh 380.
• Demon Beast incorporation can temporarily reinforce his physique sufficiently to endure otherwise excessive bodily strain 465 542.

Encounters with Humans

• Beast calamities: The Phantom Demon Beast drove Yangping Town’s animals into murderous frenzy. Long Zilu sealed it with the Blood Demon Great Array, whose maintenance required flesh, blood, vital essence, and periodic reinforcement 93 100 421.
• Military suppression: An unnamed underground Demon Beast severely wounded Divine Constable Wan Jianghai and destroyed several towns. Long Zilu’s Dragon Demon Army and three major factions defeated it together, but it escaped underground 242.
• Mounts: Moyunzi, the Sea King Sect’s Young Master, rode a Brahma Crimson Fire Bull into Wanghai City. Its roar killed animals and injured nearby people 361.
• Capture and supply: Southern Qi gathered more than fifty kinds of Demon Beast materials and ten living specimens for Lin Sheng 522.
• Black-market trade: The Ember Inferno Ghost Wolf was advertised through the Shadow Black Market before being placed in Black Cliff Valley as bait for Lin Sheng. Ao Xuan accused him of smuggling a prohibited infernal Demon Beast 726 734.
• Limits of deterrence: Lin Sheng concluded that Dragon Might could intimidate creatures below Demon Beast rank but might provoke a Demon Beast instead, after a powerful beast pursued him in the Congyun Mountain Range 264.
