History
Young Sect Master and Succession
Ning Fengzhi first attends a Heaven Dou imperial banquet as the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect's young sect master. His father, the sitting sect master, is gravely ill, and Ning Fengzhi maintains a composed manner while discussing his condition with Crown Prince Xue Ye. His close relationship with Xue Ye places him near the center of the royal succession struggle. 14
Following his father's death, Ning Fengzhi succeeds as sect master. He inherits a sect plagued by internal power struggles and external threats, forcing him to secure allies and stabilize its position. 31
Alliance with Di Hong
Ning Fengzhi formally supports Xue Ye's faction and deliberately builds a relationship with Di Hong, whose extraordinary cultivation talent he views as vital to the sect's future security. He and Di Hong begin addressing each other as brothers. 45
He joins the expedition against the Hundred-Thousand-Year Blazing Fire Earth Dragon, providing decisive support throughout the battle. When some accompanying Soul Douluo consider taking Di Hong's resulting soul bone, Ning Fengzhi refuses to risk their friendship for short-term gain. 80 83
After Di Hong becomes the Vermilion Bird Douluo, Ning Fengzhi recognizes him as an honorary elder of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. 124 131
Strengthening the Sect
Ning Fengzhi seeks a way to evolve the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda into the legendary Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda, searching ancient records without success. 131
He also works to recruit powerful independent Soul Masters for the sect. Chen Xin joins after Chen Jianjun's death, while Gu Rong subsequently joins as well; their arrival raises the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect to the continent's second-strongest sect. 139 140
Spirit Hall Attack and Evacuation
Spirit Hall's assault on the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect inflicts catastrophic losses, aided by traitors who allow attackers inside. Ning Fengzhi is surrounded until Chen Xin and Di Hong intervene. 213
Although the sect survives, nearly two thousand disciples are killed and more members remain under attack outside the sect. Ning Fengzhi later seeks Di Hong's permission to lead the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect out of Heaven Dou City. 214 233
