Background / History

Di Jun and his brother Tai Yi traveled the Primordial World seeking powerful Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal divine beasts to oppose the Witch Race. After encountering Witch Race clansmen who fed on Demon Beasts, Di Jun began recruiting allies and invited Da Bai and Bai Ze to join the Demon Race. He initially attacked them after mistaking them for members of the Witch Race, then apologized and made his offer directly 28.

Following a major defeat by the Witch Race’s Twelve Capital Celestial Evil Formation, Di Jun and Tai Yi escaped and regrouped their forces. Di Jun proposed creating cultivation techniques to strengthen the Demon Race, while Tai Yi repaired the Eastern Emperor Bell 37.

Founding and Expansion of the Demon Race

Di Jun recruits Da Bai and Bai Ze as part of his effort to unite Demon Beasts against the Witch Race. His stated cause is protecting Demon Beasts from being preyed upon by the Witch Race, though Da Bai internally regards this as an excuse for gathering support after Di Jun’s earlier defeat 28.

Witch–Demon Conflict

Di Jun survives the Demon Race’s defeat at the hands of the Twelve Capital Celestial Evil Formation and responds by pursuing stronger cultivation methods and larger forces 37. He later leads the Zhou Tian Xing Dou Great Formation against the Witch Race, but the Pangu Phantom breaks it with two Giant Axe strikes 40.

Heavenly Court Rule

After the Heavenly Court emerges, Di Jun leads the Demon Race in taking control of it, supported by the Ten Great Demon Marshals 45. From the Heavenly Court, he addresses the Monster Script’s implications and expands its leadership by seeking powerful teachers 48.

Human Race Campaign

To forge a Witch-Slaying Sword, Di Jun orders Fu Xi and Peng Xuan to lead tens of millions of demons against the human tribes on the North Sea Coast, leaving no humans alive and collecting their Essence Spirits 70. During this campaign, he battles Kong Xuan, initially underestimating him before becoming cautious of Kong Xuan’s spiritual power and treasures 71.

Decisive Battle Against the Witch Race

Di Jun deploys the Zhou Tian Xing Dou Great Formation and the Monster Summoning Banner in the final war against the Witch Race, launching a starlight-arrow assault that Dijiang and the Twelve Ancestral Witches intercept at immense cost 81. He is later trapped by the Time Law and besieged by multiple Ancestral Witches; despite killing Rushou, he is overwhelmed as Dijiang, Shebishi, Jumang, and Tianwu close in 83.
