Background

Sasuke grew up as the younger son of Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Mikoto and the younger brother of Uchiha Itachi. Fugaku taught both sons the history of the Uchiha Clan, including its founding role in Konohagakure, the clan's long conflict with the village leadership, and the nature of the Mangekyō and Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. Sasuke was especially interested in Konoha's founding and Uchiha Madara's departure from the village. 34 35

After Fugaku revealed Naruto's parentage and the circumstances behind his treatment as the Nine-Tails' Jinchūriki, Sasuke developed deep sympathy for him.
