Ch. 41Please Keep Reading!

Chang Wei harvested billions of Gene Points from the aftermath of the nuclear blasts and prepared to leave Earth before Predator reinforcements arrived. As he departed, a Predator fleet appeared above Earth, drawn by the death of a Predator Elder.

  • Chang Wei recovered most of the Blacklight microorganisms before the nuclear explosions and gained an enormous number of Gene Points.
  • Surviving humans celebrated the Aliens’ losses, then faced the devastation and the harsh conditions threatening the remaining population.
  • Chang Wei stayed for several days to harvest more Gene Points before deciding he had to leave ahead of nearby Predator reinforcements.
  • Predator Ships appeared above Earth, as the death of a Predator Elder had attracted the attention of nearby Predators and their superiors.

Ch. 42Seeking Follow-Up Reads 2

Chang Wei escaped the Predators by particleizing after his experimental Nuclear Fusion Light destroyed several ships, then stayed behind to pursue their vessels. As the Predators began exterminating the Alien infestation, they prepared to evaporate Earth’s oceans.

  • Chang Wei’s flagship locked him out of its Weapon System, so he fired Nuclear Fusion Light at the surrounding Predator Ships before escaping as particles.
  • The Predators destroyed Chang Wei’s ship, but they failed to detect him as he reassembled elsewhere.
  • Chang Wei decided to remain on Earth and target the Predator Ships while the Predators sent a group of Predator Aliens to investigate.
  • The Predators arrived as the Alien hordes came ashore, and they quickly purged the locked-on Alien zones.
  • The Predators spread their ships over the oceans and began firing their Energy Cannons to evaporate them.

Ch. 43Unexpected

Chang Wei uncovered the Predators’ plan to boil Earth’s oceans and exterminate the Aliens, then revealed himself as a powerful opponent to draw the Predators into combat. The chapter ended with the Predators agreeing to fight him together using only close-combat weapons.

  • Chang Wei learned from the Predator Elder’s memories that the Predators were evaporating the oceans to wipe out the Aliens, and the operation caused deadly heat and superheated steam across Earth.
  • After ten days of ocean evaporation and bombardment, the Predators believed they had eliminated the Aliens, though Chang Wei had already absorbed them.
  • Chang Wei wore Guyver Armor and attacked the Predator ground forces, prompting them to surround him and accept his challenge to duel.
  • Chang Wei killed an elite Predator with one slash, then defeated two more elite Predators at once.
  • Chang Wei challenged the remaining Predators to attack together, and they agreed to fight with spears, Wrist Blades, or bare hands.

Ch. 44Prey

Chang Wei escaped the Predator Queen’s attempt to bring him to the Predator homeworld and anchored Alien vs. Predator World for a return trip. He arrived in a church in an unfamiliar world, where a panicked young man rushed inside.

  • Chang Wei used the Blacklight Virus to devour the Predators and Predator Aliens, then discovered the Predator Queen had watched his abilities and locked down their ships.
  • The Predator Ship began a wormhole jump, but Chang Wei spent one hundred million Gene Points to travel to another world and vanished before reaching the Predators’ destination.
  • Chang Wei agreed to spend one billion Gene Points to anchor Alien vs. Predator World, intending to return and take revenge.
  • Chang Wei appeared in a church among people praying to Jehovah, dressed in white priestly robes.
  • A young man rushed into the church and shut the doors, and Chang Wei asked him what had happened.

Ch. 45White-Robed Priest

Chang Wei confronted an armed young man in the church, survived his gunfire, and killed him. He then met Jill and two companions seeking shelter and realized he was in the movie version of Resident Evil, apparently its second film.

  • Chang Wei revealed himself to the young man, whose instinctive terror drove him to fire several shots that Chang Wei absorbed harmlessly.
  • Chang Wei pinned the young man down and shot him dead, then claimed the gun had gone off accidentally.
  • Chang Wei heard three people approaching and watched Jill, a dark chubby man, and a woman in a light-blue business suit enter the church.
  • Jill explained that the group had come to shelter from the danger outside, and Chang Wei recognized her and identified the world as the second Resident Evil movie.

Ch. 47Raccoon City!

Chang Wei met Jill Valentine, Terry, and Sergeant Payton in the church and explained that a young man had killed himself there. When a Licker burst into the church, Jill and Payton prepared to defend the group while Chang Wei recognized the monster and its threat.

  • Chang Wei reflected on Aerith’s telekinesis and regretted missing the chance to see Jill, Ada Wong, and young Leon in Raccoon City.
  • Jill Valentine, Terry, and Sergeant Payton approached Chang Wei and introduced themselves, wary of his imposing presence.
  • Jill noticed the headless young man’s corpse, and Chang Wei said the man had killed himself after entering the church.
  • A noise from above alerted Jill and Payton, while Chang Wei identified the creature as a Licker attracted by the corpse’s blood.
  • The Licker smashed through the glass and entered the church, and Jill and Payton warned everyone to stay quiet as they took defensive positions.

Ch. 48Aerith!

Chang Wei waited for Aerith as Jill and Payton fled Lickers into a church, where the Priest was dragged away. Aerith arrived by motorcycle and killed two Lickers, then faced two more attacking from opposite directions.

  • Jill and Payton retreated from the Lickers and asked Chang Wei, who called himself Dante, for shelter.
  • Jill, Payton, Chang Wei, and the bald old Priest encountered Lickers that broke through the church door.
  • A Licker grabbed the Priest with its tongue and dragged him outside as Jill and Payton fell back.
  • Aerith rode a motorcycle through the church's stained-glass window and shot two Lickers with her MP5s.
  • Two more Lickers attacked Aerith from the front and back, and she hurled her motorcycle at one of them.

Ch. 49Perfect T-Virus Acquired

Aerith warned Jill and the others that the escaped Lickers threatened them, while the Umbrella Corporation activated its Nemesis bioweapon after the T-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City met its experimental threshold. Chang Wei secretly infected Aerith and discovered that the T-Virus could evolve toward telekinesis; he was left considering the brain-evolution path.

  • Aerith defeated four Lickers, and the remaining four fled after Chang Wei scared them off.
  • Aerith warned Jill and the others that more Lickers could come, and she identified them as Umbrella Corporation products.
  • Outside Raccoon City, Kane learned that the infection had reached Umbrella's experimental standard and ordered the Nemesis Program activated.
  • The Nemesis Tyrant awoke in a Raccoon City hospital after Umbrella released its sedation protocol and programming chip.
  • Chang Wei infected Aerith while shaking her hand, then used the Super Virus System to analyze the T-Virus and learn that brain evolution could grant telekinesis.

Ch. 50Telekinesis!

Chang Wei spent his Gene Points to evolve every available ability, gaining expanded Mental Power and precise telekinesis. He began considering whether he could use telekinesis to confine nuclear fusion and reach world-threatening levels of power.

  • Chang Wei anesthetized Aerith and Jill, then ordered the Super Virus System to begin all evolution paths.
  • As the Emperor Blacklight Virus and Perfect T-Virus evolved together, Chang Wei's Gene Points rapidly dwindled.
  • Chang Wei gained Mental Power that let him sense everything within more than ten thousand meters.
  • Chang Wei used telekinesis to tear up and lift a huge chunk of concrete.
  • Chang Wei wondered whether he could confine nuclear fusion with telekinesis and convert his Blacklight Virus cells into fusion reactors.

Ch. 51Super Evolution

Chang Wei evolved the T-Virus into the T-Virus King and gained immense mental powers and molecular-level control over matter. After awakening Aerith, Jill, and the others, he cured Payton’s transformation and introduced himself as Priest Dante.

  • Chang Wei’s telekinesis, telepathy, and Mind Control grew powerful enough to threaten or defend against matter at the molecular level.
  • Chang Wei modified his body with molecular-level defenses and considered the possibility of finding the Progenitor Virus and completing a nuclear-fusion upgrade.
  • Chang Wei awakened Aerith, Jill, and the others, but Payton lunged at Terry after turning into a T-Virus monster.
  • Aerith knocked Payton down, and Chang Wei used glowing Holy Light to repair his brain and restore him.
  • Chang Wei told Aerith that she could call him Priest Dante, leaving her shocked by his explanation.

Ch. 52The Lord Is Petty

Chang Wei discussed the Lord and Umbrella Corporation with Aerith, Jill, Payton, and Terry, while secretly sending Hunters against Director Kane’s group. The party left to find weapons, then fought reanimated corpses in a cemetery.

  • Payton asked Chang Wei whether the Lord existed, and Chang Wei answered that belief determined it.
  • Aerith explained Umbrella Corporation’s role in the disaster and asked whether the Lord would punish it; Chang Wei said he did not know and admitted he was only an intern priest.
  • Chang Wei revealed that he had ordered over a hundred mutated Hunters to attack Director Kane’s group in the quarantine zone.
  • Aerith urged the group to find a gun store and leave before Umbrella Corporation could act again, and the others agreed.
  • As the group left, T-Virus-infected corpses revived in a cemetery, and Jill and Aerith helped the others defeat them.

Ch. 53All Dead

Director Kane's Umbrella base was overrun by T-Virus Hunters, while Chang Wei and the others learned about the virus's ability to revive dead cells and reached a gun shop. The group felt safer with Chang Wei as they prepared to arm themselves.

  • Director Kane ordered his men to retreat and called for the Nemesis after an unidentified B.O.W. breached the base and killed the Action Captain.
  • T-Virus Hunters destroyed helicopters, survived their crashes, and killed Director Kane and the people beside him.
  • Aerith explained that the T-Virus could restore vitality to dead cells, astonishing Jill and Payton.
  • Chang Wei described his connection to Judas the Betrayer, Section 13, and Dante interrupted him so the group could continue to the gun shop.
  • Chang Wei, Jill, Aerith, Payton, and the others arrived at the gun shop, where they found weapons and ammunition made by Umbrella Corporation.

Ch. 54The Power of a Father's Love

Chang Wei’s group armed themselves at a gun store and received a call from Dr. Ashford, who had escaped and wanted help rescuing his daughter, Angela. The chapter ended with Jill answering the phone.

  • Chang Wei equipped Payton and Aerith with powerful firearms from the gun store.
  • Chang Wei joked with Jill and Aerith about his work as an exorcist priest.
  • Dr. Ashford escaped through the city and searched surveillance footage for people who could help rescue Angela.
  • A roadside phone rang, and Chang Wei used Morse code to signal Dr. Ashford.
  • Jill grabbed the phone and answered Dr. Ashford’s call.

Ch. 55Dr. Ashford

Dr. Ashford warned Jill’s group that Umbrella planned to destroy Raccoon City with a nuclear warhead and offered them a way out on a helicopter. He revealed the helicopter’s departure time but withheld its landing site until they agreed to rescue his daughter Angela.

  • Dr. Ashford called Jill and warned that Umbrella planned to use a nuclear warhead to erase Raccoon City, claiming he alone knew how to escape.
  • Chang Wei argued that the group had to find Dr. Ashford because the launch might be only two hours away, and Dr. Ashford also contacted abandoned mercenaries Carlos and Nikolai.
  • Chang Wei’s group reached Dr. Ashford, who told them a helicopter would leave in one hour to recover Umbrella’s records.
  • Dr. Ashford refused to reveal the helicopter’s landing site unless the group first rescued his daughter Angela from Raccoon City Elementary School.

Ch. 56Finding the Missing Nemesis

Chang Wei and the others rescued Angela from the school by using Dr. Ashford’s access to the broadcast system to draw away the zombies. After learning the helicopter would land at City Hall, they set off while Chang Wei wondered where Nemesis had gone.

  • Chang Wei’s group agreed to help Dr. Ashford rescue Angela, and he revealed that he had also hired two mercenaries.
  • The group drove an armored Umbrella school bus to the school, while Dr. Ashford stayed behind and Chang Wei kept Terry from joining them.
  • Chang Wei asked Dr. Ashford to hack the school broadcast system, then Dr. Ashford announced that he was waiting for Angela at the back gate.
  • Angela ran out and reunited with Dr. Ashford, and two Umbrella mercenaries emerged and joined them.
  • Dr. Ashford told Jill where the helicopter would land, and Jill urged everyone to hurry to City Hall, warning that Umbrella had guards and snipers there.
  • Chang Wei drove the group toward City Hall and wondered where Nemesis was while the T-Virus Hunters attacked The Hive.

Ch. 57The Villain's Plot Armor Wasn't Enough

Chang Wei raced the school bus to City Hall, where Aerith took out the rooftop sniper and the mercenaries but their companions were captured. The new Umbrella supervisor ordered Aerith seized and everyone else killed, but Chang Wei revealed himself as a winged figure to protect the captives.

  • Chang Wei sped the school bus toward City Hall while its passengers clung on in terror.
  • The group reached City Hall as an Umbrella helicopter arrived, and they split up to confront the snipers and mercenaries.
  • Aerith eliminated the rooftop sniper and the mercenaries, but Umbrella soldiers captured the others.
  • Supervisor Shiweite arrived to retrieve Aerith and Nemesis, then ordered the captives killed and a nuclear missile prepared for launch.
  • Chang Wei unfolded broad white wings and blasted away the soldiers who opened fire.

Ch. 58God on Earth

Chang Wei revealed his angelic form to the Umbrella Corporation, stopped Nemesis’s attacks with telekinesis, and used his power over the T-Virus to restore the monster to human form. Aerith recognized the restored man as Matt.

  • Chang Wei manifested immense wings and golden eyes, leaving the assembled soldiers and scientists stunned.
  • Supervisor Shiweite ordered Nemesis to shoot Chang Wei, but Chang Wei stopped the bullets in midair.
  • Nemesis fired a rocket, and Chang Wei compressed the explosion until it vanished.
  • Chang Wei lifted Nemesis with telekinesis and reversed the T-Virus within its body.
  • Nemesis returned to human form, and Aerith recognized him as Matt.

Ch. 59Treating Nuclear Bombs as Nothing

Chang Wei protected Aerith, Matt, Jill, and the others from a nuclear bomb launched by Umbrella. The blast ended without harming anyone, while Supervisor Shiweite was left unable to accept what he had witnessed.

  • Aerith recognized Matt as the biological weapon, and Chang Wei tossed him beside her.
  • Chang Wei learned through telepathy that Supervisor Shiweite had launched a nuclear bomb and wanted to obtain an angel's corpse.
  • As the nuclear warhead struck, Chang Wei used telekinesis to shield everyone from the blast, heat, shockwave, and radiation.
  • The explosion ended with everyone unharmed, while Supervisor Shiweite pounded on Chang Wei's barrier and cried that it was impossible.
  • The survivors marveled at Chang Wei's power and joked that surviving the blast would make a good story for the rest of their lives.

Ch. 60Angels Are Not Merciful

Chang Wei punished Supervisor Shiweite with concentrated nuclear radiation and refused to take sides in the conflict with Umbrella. After he vanished, Aerith and the others formed an Anti-Umbrella Alliance with former Umbrella mercenaries.

  • Chang Wei forced Supervisor Shiweite to swallow concentrated nuclear radiation, causing his body to rot as the onlookers watched.
  • Chang Wei told Aerith and the others that he was on vacation and that their fates were theirs to walk alone.
  • Dr. Ashford asked about their fate, and Chang Wei said the Lord had forbidden him from speaking of it.
  • Terry tried to photograph Chang Wei, but her camera showed only white.
  • Chang Wei vanished, and Aerith and the others formed an Anti-Umbrella Alliance that included Umbrella mercenaries.

Ch. 61Cell-Level Nuclear Fusion

Chang Wei conducted cell-level nuclear fusion experiments in the Sahara Desert, but his telekinesis could sustain the reaction for only one minute and thirty-two seconds. His experiments attracted international attention, while he recognized the immense power and destructive risks of his brief fusion-enhanced state.

  • Chang Wei decided to pursue nuclear fusion in the Sahara Desert rather than risk destroying Raccoon City.
  • A powerful heat-source reaction in the desert exceeded the readings of an ordinary low-yield nuclear bomb, prompting nations to send investigation teams.
  • After months of experiments underground, Chang Wei sustained fusion for one minute and thirty-two seconds before his telekinesis began to fail.
  • Chang Wei assessed that his fusion-enhanced strength could destroy an aircraft carrier with a punch and that his heat ray could vaporize iron, but its destructive power made it dangerous to use.
