Shamu shifted the Uchiha’s loyalties, built alliances, and prepared the clan for the coming war while exposing Naruto to the truth about his past. The Uchiha carried out their Exodus Plan, Obito attacked them, and Danzo lost another bid to restore Root.

• Shamu revealed his Mangekyō Sharingan’s visions of the Uchiha’s destruction, making Shisui and Itachi reconsider their loyalty to Konoha.
• Shamu told Naruto about Kurama, his parents, and the Third Hokage’s deception, then helped Fugaku expand the clan’s wealth and independence.
• Shamu aided Rasa in sealing Shukaku inside Gaara, warned him about the threat to the Tailed Beasts, and secured Sunagakure as an Uchiha ally.
• Shamu confronted Obito’s influence over Yagura, while Nagato learned Obito’s identity and chose to delay confronting him.

Shamu’s return brought the Uchiha into conflict with Obito and drew Konoha’s leaders into a reckoning over the clan’s treatment and Danzo’s actions. The arc left Tsunade considering an alliance with Shamu as the Uchiha sought to remove Danzo and return to Konoha.

• Shamu left his companions in the Land of Sound and flew toward the Land of Iron, while Fugaku entrusted Hizashi with managing the Uchiha shops.
• Obito attacked the Uchiha Clan Grounds, where Fugaku and the clan fought him off at great cost before he escaped with Zetsu, and Keimei awakened his Mangekyō Sharingan.
• Shamu began Sage Mode training at Shikkotsu Forest, while Hashirama and Tobirama traveled with Nagato to Valley Country and confronted the Medical Device Company’s headquarters.
• Konoha defended itself against the God Tree Saplings, and Shamu sent Madara to capture them while Minato went to protect Himawari.
• Shamu returned to the Uchiha grounds, gave Sasuke the Kusanagi Blade, and helped identify Obito as the masked man behind the Nine-Tails Incident and the attack on Kakashi.
• The Uchiha declared a hunt for Obito, while the Third Hokage issued a notice defending the clan and Tsunade challenged him over Danzo’s experiments and the Uchiha’s treatment.
• Danzo admitted that he had moved against Yahiko’s Akatsuki to protect Konoha’s ambitions, as the Third Hokage considered how to address the past and choose a successor.

Shamu prepared for threats from Obito and the Otsutsuki while reshaping alliances, reviving the dead, and pursuing his own plans. The stretch ended with Sasuke defeating the Snow Ninja as Naruto fought Kazahana Dōtō’s forces.

• Shamu released Minato’s Nine-Tails into the sky, while Shamu, Itachi, Orochimaru, Tsunade, and Minato fought Urashiki using barriers, genjutsu, poison, and Kurama Mode.
• Shamu helped Tsunade overcome her fear of blood by arranging for her to treat Naruto, and Tsunade operated on Oura and Rikuto before later saving Naruto from a training wound.
• Obito and Zetsu abducted Danzo and Anko, while Shamu sent Kabuto and Keimei to take Anko to Orochimaru.
• Shamu traveled to the Warring States Era to collect the remains of Madara, Hashirama, and Tobirama’s brothers, and Madara agreed to revive Itama and Kawarama.
• Shamu became the Uchiha clan head after taking Fugaku’s ocular power, and he explained how Danzo and the Third Hokage had weakened the major clans.
• Obito’s forces attacked Konoha, where Minato killed Fuen and Kazuma, while the Demonic Statue absorbed the Box of Paradise’s energy and Ryuzetsu gave her life to revive Muku.

Shamu strengthened the Uchiha, confronted rivals, and prepared the clan for Obito’s threat while arranging new alliances and training. As Danzo escaped and the clan’s power grew, Itachi and Shisui departed on a mission with Obito still at large.

• Shamu revived the Uchiha elders and confronted Itachi, Fugaku, and Mikoto over the clan massacre, then ordered Sasuke to spend his life reviving Uchiha clansmen.
• Shamu negotiated a one-year truce with the Raikage and defeated Kumogakure’s forces in a battle against his Shadow Clones.
• Shamu learned that Obito planned to destroy the Shinobi World, warned the Raikage about the threat, and revealed the Sky Ninja aerial fortress to Kumogakure’s delegation.
• Obito tested Shamu’s defenses and later learned that the Uchiha had exposed him, removed him from their registry, and placed a bounty on him.
• Shamu recruited Kimimaro, arranged for Tsunade to train Uchiha medical ninjas, and established a hospital where Tsunade and Shizune treated injured clan members.
• The Third Hokage imposed mission quotas on the Uchiha and negotiated with Danzo, but Danzo escaped prison with White Zetsu’s help after agreeing to expose Hiruzen.
