Background / History

Ancient era

Pangu created the Primordial World immeasurable eons before the main narrative. Its early history included the Dragon-Phoenix Calamity and the Witch-Demon Calamity; by the opening chapters, ten thousand years had passed since the first major Witch-Demon battle, and the Six Saints' attainment of Dao had established a temporary peace. 1

The world was originally trapped within Chaos because Pangu died before completing his work of creation. 32

Era of universal creation

Lu Changqing's creation policy allowed beings below the Saint realm to create worlds in exchange for Merit, provided those worlds possessed vitality, life, and complete rules. 14 This redirected the Witch and Demon Clans' rivalry away from open warfare and into competition over the number of worlds each side could create. 14

Within one hundred years, the movement produced three thousand Middle Thousand Worlds, one hundred thousand Small Thousand Worlds, and one million minor realms. Spiritual energy increased, vegetation and life flourished, and the scars left by the Witch-Demon War began to heal. 14

Expansion and refinement

Tongtian's Intercepting Sect pioneered the world barrier by transforming chaotic energy into Great Dao power. One hundred thousand disciples expanded the barrier by more than ten thousand mu in under a year. 33

Lu Changqing later opened star refinement as another path of development. Cultivators used the Nine Heavens Star Refining Method to incorporate chaotic stars into the Primordial World, strengthening its foundation and increasing its innate spiritual energy. 63

After refining the Primordial World Suppressing Heaven Seal, Lu Changqing became the world's master. 63 He subsequently used the seal and the Heavenly Integration Great Dao Method to connect its realms and perfect its Three Thousand Great Daos. 104

Conflict with Chaos and the Great Dao

As the Primordial World expanded toward Chaos, conflict erupted between its Heavenly Dao and the Great Dao. The Heavenly Dao joined with the Human Dao, Earthly Dao, the Saints, and the aspirations of all living beings to expel the Great Dao's suppressive power from the world. 142 143

One hundred thousand Sky-reaching Altars were later constructed across the world to connect the origins of the Primordial World and Chaos, accelerating their fusion. 146

A mysterious being from the River of Time and Space later attacked to seize the world's World Origin. Pangu, the Heavenly Dao, and the Great Dao resisted, while Lu Changqing ultimately repelled the attacker and protected the world. 186

Integration of other worlds

The Primordial World began conquering and absorbing external worlds after Lu Changqing marked their coordinates. The Human Race led the first wave of conquest as the world's largest and strongest race. 153

Seven hundred conquered worlds, including Olympus World, were merged into the Primordial World over a thousand years, greatly increasing its Primordial Violet Qi and spiritual essence. 155 The Tomb World, Saint Covering World, Azure Sky World, and other worlds were also integrated, allowing their inhabitants to pursue higher cultivation than their former worlds permitted. 161 174 190

Geography & Structure

• The ancient world contains Buzhou Mountain; Wuji Peak lies ten thousand miles beyond it and became Lu Changqing's Daoist field. 1
• Wuji Heaven, a Great Thousand World opened by Primordial Heavenly Venerate on Wuji Peak, became part of Lu Changqing's sphere of influence. 4

Three Daos

The Primordial World possesses the Heavenly Dao, Earthly Dao, and Human Dao. Their Divine Wheels manifested together during a major transformation, expanding the world and increasing the quality of its spiritual energy. 91

During the Great Dao's assault, the three Daos combined their power with the will of the world's living beings to break the Great Dao's restrictions and counterattack into Chaos. 143
