Hongjun later warned Niu Ben that the Heavenly Dao had begun to develop self-awareness. This transformed the threat from rule-based enforcement into the possibility of an independent being capable of treating all existence as its personal instruments. 343

The conflict reached its peak when Huang Tian attempted to establish the Human Path.
