The confrontation becomes genuinely hostile when Vajra Immortal, a Western Teachings agent, attempts to seize him. Yang Jian kills the Quasi-Saint and then proceeds with East Prince Gong to seek Yang Chan 701 702 703.

Following the siblings' reunion, Yang Jian returns to Mount Mei with Yang Chan, Spirit Pearl Child, and East Prince Gong. He orders Yuan Hong to muster the expanded demon forces for an assault in ten days, while his messages prompt the Three Xiaos and other Mystic Gate disciples to mobilize 709 714 715 716.

The rescue campaign also gains institutional support beyond Mount Mei. Primordial Heavenly Lord sends Guangchengzi with the Pangu Banner, while Huang Tian orders Xuanyuan to lead Humanity's elite forces to defend his junior brother. Haotian restores Yaoji's status and offers Yang Jian the position of Dharma Protector Judicial Heavenly God. Though initially hostile, Yang Jian accepts after Yaoji explains that the office grants him the authority needed to seek Yang Jiao and establish power within the Heavenly Court 736 737.

Over the following century, Yang Jian cleanses the Heavenly Court and brings order to the Three Realms, establishing a reputation that inspires both fear and respect among immortals and deities. His Heavenly Judicial Enforcement Hall remains nominally part of the Heavenly Court but follows his own orders 738 745.

Despite accepting office, Yang Jian initially retains strong personal hostility toward Haotian. When Haotian and Jade Pool visit the True Lord Temple at Guanjiang Mouth, he confronts them coldly, supported by the Mount Mei Brothers and the Howling Celestial Hound 769.

Reconciliation and Heavenly Court Alliance

Yang Jian later learns that Haotian had secretly assisted his rise and rescue effort. Confronting the threat of Outer Realm fiends and the combined ambitions of the Demon Clan and Western Teachings, he reconciles with Haotian and conveys the Heavenly Court's proposed alliance to Niu Ben 772.
