"The Strongest?"
Despite Raven's high praise, Rorschach felt no joy. He knew he was nowhere near that level.
Never mind the numerous supervillains in the world capable of destroying a city or even the planet. Even within the mutant community alone, Rorschach was far from the strongest.
Just to name one, he couldn't even kill Black King, whom he had just fought.
Professor X, once he grew stronger, would also be a significant threat to Rorschach.
Of course, this was considering only their abilities.
And then there was the super-powered Phoenix, not to mention her Phoenix Force. In front of it, Rorschach was nothing but trash.
Then there was Apocalypse, slumbering somewhere underground...
Rorschach still had a long way to go.
"Raven, I'm still far from strong enough!"
Rorschach shook his head at Mystique, saying earnestly, "If I were strong enough, it wouldn't be me running away, it would be Shaw."
"Rorschach, you did very well. You fought Shaw fiercely and protected everyone! And us?"
Mystique couldn't help but mock herself as she spoke. "We didn't do anything! The only thing we managed was to act like a bunch of startled rabbits!"
"Your eyes can shoot lasers outwards? Little one, how many more secrets are you hiding?"
Kamar-Taj.
Master Ancient One sat cross-legged in the supreme hall of the sanctuary. Before her, a mirror constructed of magic shimmered.
The mirror clearly displayed Rorschach conducting his heat vision experiment at Professor X's house.
Master Ancient One gazed at Rorschach in the mirror with a look of great interest. "Interesting. It's been a long time since I've felt surprised."
Swish!
With a gentle wave of her right hand, the mirror vanished.
It was as if it had never existed.
Of course, Rorschach had no way of detecting Master Ancient One's "peeping" in the slightest.
Let alone him now, even if Homelander himself had traveled across the universe, he probably wouldn't be a match for that old woman.
"Raven, let's go back."
Rorschach didn't want to continue the heavy topic with Mystique, so he called out to her.
"Oh, right, sorry about breaking the stones in Charles's yard."
Glancing at the large stone that had shattered into dust, Rorschach shrugged.
"I believe Charles would be quite pleased if he knew why that stone broke," Mystique said dismissively.
Returning to the room this time, Rorschach had no more worries. He lay down on the bed and soon fell into a deep sleep.
"Ah!"
"Another brand new day!"
Waking up, Rorschach stretched comfortably.
He casually pulled back the curtains, and the soft morning sunlight streamed through the window.
Looking outside, a lush green lawn met his eyes, with a brightly colored garden beside it.
It felt like watching a video by Li Ziqi.
After a simple wash, Rorschach went downstairs to the living room.
He found the living room already filled with people. Mystique Raven, Beast Hank, Siren, Wrecker, and a group of other mutants were all gathered.
They sat around, and the atmosphere was visibly heavy.
"Rorschach, you really are something. You could actually sleep through all that."
Wrecker Alex was truly impressed by Rorschach.
After such a huge event yesterday, he just brushed it off?
But then again, thinking about Rorschach's immense strength...
Alright, Wrecker felt his perspective was too narrow.
"What are you all talking about?"
Rorschach naturally sat down in an empty seat.
"We were wondering if we should go out and gather some information."
Angel, who had been lounging with his legs crossed, sat up straight and said to Rorschach.
Although they had temporarily escaped from Black King and spent the night here without incident, who knew if Black King had found any clues?
What if the Black King finds this place again?
Wouldn't everyone become lambs to the slaughter?
But it's precisely for that reason that everyone is afraid to rush out recklessly.
If the Black King really finds this place, what if they go out and get discovered?
Even the CIA base was wiped out; no one dares to face the Black King directly anymore.
But just hiding here, "ignoring everything outside," is clearly not a solution.
"I'll go!"
Mystique, Raven, stood up at this moment and volunteered, "I grew up here, I know where to gather intelligence."
"Raven!"
Hank immediately expressed his worry.
When Raven arrived at the CIA base, Hank had some ambiguous feelings for her. Of course, Hank didn't know that Raven had already "cheated" last night.
"It's too dangerous. What if you run into that guy?" Hank hesitated, not really agreeing with the idea.
"Hank, I know this area, and I can change into anyone's appearance. You and I both know I'm the most suitable person."
Mystique, however, had already made up her mind, her tone quite firm.
Everything that happened last night had unknowingly caused Raven to mature a bit.
"Raven, you shouldn't have to bear all this for us."
Wrecker Alex also voiced his opposition.
He felt it was too shameful for so many people to rely on a woman without combat power.
"Alex, Raven is right."
Darwin was much more composed; he understood that this was indeed the best plan.
Although he also had some worries and concerns, there really was no better method.
"Everyone, don't worry. I'll go with Raven." Rorschach stood up at this moment.
If he stayed cooped up inside, how would he trigger the mission?
He didn't believe the mission would come to him again like it did yesterday.
But by exploring outside, the chances would naturally be much higher.
"If Rorschach goes with her, then that's even better." Siren, the carefree guy, slapped his thigh and laughed.
And no one else raised any further objections.
This was truly the best combination.
Once the decision was made, Rorschach and Raven didn't dawdle.
After a simple preparation, they set off immediately.
Mystique used her abilities to transform into a middle-aged man.
As for Rorschach, although he felt it was unnecessary, he still followed everyone's request and made a simple disguise: he put on a hat.
He also found one of Charles's old trench coats to wear over his clothes.
"Wow, Rorschach."
Raven looked him up and down, feeling very satisfied. "I didn't expect Charles's clothes to look so good on you. It's perfect."
"Really?" Rorschach raised an eyebrow. "Who's handsomer, me or Charles?"
"Definitely you," Raven winked at Rorschach.
"Raven, the way you're making that face right now, you look exactly like a pervert."
