Background / History

Sirin was a homeless child in Siberia after her mother died of illness. A researcher identified her rare Honkai Energy antibodies and offered food and shelter in exchange for experimentation. Sirin rejected the offer, suspecting a trap, but was abducted and taken to Babylon Laboratory regardless 134.

Her time in Babylon was defined by brutal experimentation and the loss of her fellow test subjects. Bella, her closest friend, died from Honkai Energy erosion in Sirin’s arms, leaving behind a hand-drawn escape map and entrusting Sirin’s small knife to their planned escape 138. These experiences became the foundation of the hatred inherited through her Herrscher Core.

After becoming the Herrscher of the Void, Sirin wielded overwhelming spatial authority and accumulated multiple Herrscher Cores. Her original six-core state was powerful enough to accommodate several cores through the regenerative properties of the Herrscher of Death’s core 130.

Following her return, Sirin’s consciousness coexisted with Kiana’s within the Herrscher Core. She initially fought Fu Hua, Durandal, Theresa, Himeko, and their allies, repeatedly retreating into Imaginary Space when outmatched 118 121 122. Himeko’s Holy Blood injection sealed Sirin’s authority, depleted her Honkai Energy, and allowed Kiana’s consciousness to press back against her control 123.

Xia Ling later created a long-term dreamscape intended to give Sirin the childhood, family, friendship, and choices denied to her in reality. Within that dream, Sirin grew up beside Kiana, Xia Ling, and Elysia; became a B-rank Valkyrie; and sought to destroy the Second Herrscher without realizing she herself carried that identity 183 186. When the dream ended, Sirin confronted the truth of her past and retreated into her core in grief 186 187.

Duska Ling expanded Sirin’s mental space with the happier memories created by the dream and left her a crystal flower as a symbol of support. Sirin was told that the dream was not punishment, but “the hope” she deserved to hold onto 188.

Appearance

Sirin is depicted as a purple-haired girl with azure eyes in her Herrscher form. When awakened through Kiana’s core, her eyes can turn golden 134 233.

  • In the alternate-life dream, she grows from a withdrawn twelve-year-old into a fourteen-year-old St. Freya student and Valkyrie candidate 184.
  • Her later independent body is based on an alternate “magical girl” version of herself; she wears a notably magical-girl-like outfit after receiving it 235 237.
  • Her dream-life Valkyrie weapon is a pair of oversized scissors, reflecting her childhood wish to become a fashion designer 185.

Personality

Early Sirin is proud, contemptuous of humans, and prone to underestimating opponents. She mocks Fu Hua during battle, dismisses conventional resistance, and treats Imaginary Space as a domain where she can toy with weaker foes 118 122. Her confidence repeatedly becomes a liability: she is caught off guard by Durandal, tricked into lowering her guard by Theresa and Xia Ling, and left severely weakened by Einstein’s energy cannon 118 121.

Her hostility is rooted in loss, experimentation, and the hatred preserved within her core rather than simple cruelty. Xia Ling believes that, without the core’s inherited influence, Sirin was fundamentally “a good child” who had been denied safety, family, and affection 183 186.

After experiencing the dream and facing the consequences of the Second Honkai Outbreak, Sirin becomes deeply guilt-ridden and uncertain of her identity. She gradually shows compassion, protects allies, and seeks to compensate for the harm connected to her past 186 188 245.

Sirin remains defensive and easily embarrassed when her feelings are exposed. She denies worrying about Fu Hua, becomes flustered around Li Sushang, and visibly enjoys Dusk’s sincere admiration of her strength 202 252 262.

Abilities & Skills

Herrscher of the Void Authority

Sirin possesses powerful spatial abilities associated with the Herrscher of the Void.

  • Opens portals for travel, retrieval, and retreat 118.
  • Creates and controls Imaginary Space, using it to isolate opponents on terrain favorable to her 118 122.
  • Can drag targets into Imaginary Space, as she does to Himeko 122.
  • Can immobilize opponents with invisible force and extract an unmerged Herrscher Core from Mei 120.
  • Can interfere with spatial movement and banish enemies into Imaginary Space, though Dusk’s paintings and Durandal’s pressure can disrupt these attempts 118.

Spear of Subspace

Sirin’s signature offensive technique manifests multiple spatial spears.

  • Produces dense barrages capable of restricting close-range movement 117.
  • Can combine several spears into a stronger defensive or offensive formation 118.
  • Critically wounds Xia Ling after pulling her into Imaginary Space 122.
  • Its attacks are unable to penetrate Durandal’s defenses during their confrontation 118.

Gem of Serenity and Herrscher of Death Core

The Gem of Serenity gives Sirin extraordinary survivability and destructive withering effects.

  • Instantly heals injuries that would otherwise incapacitate her 118.
  • Produces black mist that erodes weapons and counters the Conquest Gem’s lightning 118 120.
  • Lets her sustain the burden of multiple Herrscher Cores far beyond what ordinary hosts can endure 130.
  • Its healing prevents Durandal from inflicting decisive damage during their battle 118.

Herrscher of Consciousness / Feather Dust

After her connection with Fu Hua is clarified, Sirin is revealed as the Herrscher of Consciousness and gains access to Feather Dust-related abilities.

  • Uses vast mental power to sense people and navigate unfamiliar locations 203.
  • Retrieves memories from Feather Dust fragments and incorporates their contents into herself 205.
  • Can manifest through Feather Dust after separating from Fu Hua’s body 228.
  • Can search memories with ease, though she is considered vulnerable to having her authority seized before fully Ascending 223.
  • Her consciousness-based abilities are ineffective against Kevin during their duel 203.

Tai Xu Sword Qi

Through her possession of Fu Hua’s body and memories, Sirin uses Tai Xu Sword Qi techniques.

  • Seals the Herrscher of Rock’s core with several layers of Tai Xu Sword Qi 202.
  • Creates black feathers and summons a giant sword wreathed in black flames 201.
  • Declares the technique’s effect as “twist the myriad phenomena” 201.
  • Helps Fu Hua shatter her Sword Heart during the clash with Li Sushang 262.

  • Dusk — Temporarily allies with Sirin against the Herrscher of Rock. Sirin responds enthusiastically to Dusk’s sincere admiration and gives her the sealed Rock Herrscher core afterward 200 202.
