Power Progression
| Stage / Realm / Level | Chapter | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Six Paths Yin Power and Rinne Seal | 173 | Receives a Yin power mark and the Rinne Seal from the Six Paths. The seal stores excess dōjutsu power, greatly increasing the output and endurance of Rinnegan techniques. |
| Dual Rinnegan / Heavenly Hand | 197–198 | Gains a Rinnegan in his right eye. Its Heavenly Hand ability manipulates vectors: its passive mode reflects incoming trajectory-based attacks, while its active mode redirects targeted objects. |
| Partial Amenotejikara | 215–218 | Survives Heavenly Sun Spear by swapping his brain with his left kidney. He subsequently learns to exchange individual components of an object or his own body rather than only whole targets. |
| Normal Sage Transformation / “Complete Six Paths” | 357 | Trains for two months in Ryūchi Cave until Sage Mode becomes his natural state. Combined with dual Six-Tomoe Rinnegan, Hashirama power, Yin–Yang energy, and the Rinne Seal, this earns him the designation “Complete Six Paths.” |
| Advanced Six Paths combat techniques | 372 | Debuts the self-created Six Paths Body Flicker: Mogakebirei, Sage Art: White Agitation Dragon Roar, and the Eight Red Sun Array during the battle against Kawaki. |
Background / History
Sasuke leaves Sakura and Sarada to continue investigating whether the Ōtsutsuki threat still exists. Before departing, he reassures Sarada with the forehead poke once used by Itachi. Naruto then informs him that Uchiha Chen has stolen Madara’s remains and erased Sasuke’s spatial marker from the coffin’s seal; Sasuke joins Naruto in investigating Chen and Orochimaru. 10
Though distrustful of Orochimaru, Sasuke prioritizes Konoha’s security and questions him about Chen. Orochimaru’s testimony—that Chen awakened the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan at age ten and exterminated the surviving Chinoike clan—forces Sasuke and Naruto to reassess Chen as an exceptionally dangerous opponent. 12
Sasuke and Naruto confront Chen together, using Amenotejikara, Take Mikazuchi, Sage Art: Rasenshuriken, and explosive tags in an attempt to overcome Chen’s dōjutsu. Their plan briefly catches Chen off guard, but Chen’s time-based techniques eventually defeat them; Sasuke is severely wounded and hospitalized alongside Naruto. 27 29 32
After learning that Kawaki bears Karma from Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, Sasuke attempts to respond immediately to the emerging threat. Urashiki Taro ambushes him before he can reach the Hyūga compound, leaving him unconscious and attempting to take his Sharingan before Obito intervenes. 108
Chen later extracts Kurama from Naruto and blinds him during the assault on Konoha. Sasuke attacks Chen, but Chen severs his right arm and retains it for later use. Sasuke subsequently receives a Hashirama-cell arm, a change that becomes central to his later regeneration tactics. 137 146
Following Sakura’s farewell vision, Sasuke accepts the Six Paths’ power while rejecting the idea of fighting solely on another’s judgment. He receives the Rinne Seal and an Amenonuhoko sword, then resolves to make his own decisions regarding bonds, Kaguya, and Chen. 173
Sasuke works with Naruto against Isshiki and proves instrumental in countering Daikokuten. He later survives Isshiki’s Heavenly Sun Spear by awakening a more precise form of Amenotejikara, even after the Rinne Seal is destroyed. 198 215
After learning that Chen—not himself or Naruto—is the true Child of Prophecy, Sasuke accepts Chen’s role in the wider conflict. He remains outside the Shadow Hidden Village but becomes Chen’s external ally, training at Ryūchi Cave and preparing to hunt Kawaki, whose actions indirectly caused Sakura’s death. 239 357
Appearance
After completing his Ryūchi Cave training, Sasuke adopts an appearance reminiscent of his younger Shippuden-era self, though with the maturity and height of adulthood. 357
- Light-purple kimono bearing the Uchiha crest.
- Purple waist cord in Orochimaru’s style.
- Black cloak.
- Sharp, angular hairstyle rather than his former unkempt Boruto-era hair.
- Tachi-style, guardless sword hilt.
- Dual Six-Tomoe Rinnegan. 357
- Often fights as an apparently hollow body, with most organs separated and preserved elsewhere through Amenotejikara. 358 363
Personality
Sasuke is analytical, guarded, and willing to consider threats from their worst possible angle. Unlike Naruto, he does not accept a benevolent interpretation of an unknown enemy without evidence; this leads him to suspect Chen’s motives even when Chen opposes the Ōtsutsuki. 85
His experiences with Chen, Isshiki, Sakura’s death, and the Six Paths’ interference make him increasingly intolerant of acting on incomplete information. He refuses to endorse a war against Chen without decisive proof, stating that he no longer wishes to fight “a muddled war.” 171
Despite his detached manner, Sasuke is deeply driven by family. His concern for Sarada is evident in his farewell before leaving Konoha and in his determination to stop Kawaki after Kawaki threatens her. 10 375
Abilities & Skills
Sharingan, Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and Rinnegan
Sasuke’s ocular abilities underpin his combat style, perception, space-time ninjutsu, and use of Six Paths techniques.
- Uses Sharingan perception to track minute movements and deflect Shin Uchiha’s manipulated shuriken with swordsmanship. 6
- Wields Amaterasu and Kagutsuchi-enhanced Chidori techniques such as Take Mikazuchi. 27
- Uses the Human Path to read an opponent’s mind, including extracting intelligence from Code and interrogating Kawaki. 180 196
- Employs Chibaku Tensei, including a dual-Rinnegan version capable of forming a massive sealing satellite. 192
- Opens Space Gates for long-distance travel and infiltration. 196 358
Amenotejikara
Originally a whole-target spatial swap, Amenotejikara evolves into Sasuke’s most flexible survival and positioning technique.
- Swaps himself, enemies, weapons, and projectiles to create sudden reversals in combat. 6 27
- Can be used in rapid succession to place explosive-tag kunai directly into an opponent’s hands. 27
- Evolves to exchange individual body parts, as demonstrated by swapping his brain and left kidney to survive a fatal strike. 215
- Allows him to remove and preserve his brain, heart, organs, and other vital components before battle. 218
- Cannot yet perform partial swaps on other living people. 363
Heavenly Hand
Heavenly Hand is the dōjutsu of Sasuke’s right-eye Rinnegan, built around vector manipulation.
- Passive mode reflects trajectory-based attacks aimed at Sasuke back along their original path. 198 360
- Deflects Isshiki’s Daikokuten spikes and later redirects a Tailed Beast Bomb away from Hanabi. 198 365
- Active mode produces arrows visible only to Sasuke, enabling him to alter an object’s direction of movement. 199
- Its passive reflection must be pre-set; Sasuke cannot freely alternate between active and passive use at high frequency. 199
- The Rinne Seal can supply stored dōjutsu power after Sasuke’s personal reserves are depleted. 198
Susanoo and Barrier Techniques
Sasuke uses Susanoo as both an offensive construct and a defensive platform for allies.
- Deploys complete Susanoo against Chen and uses it to survive Chen’s Conquest Bell with Hanabi and Kakuzu. 29 380
- Can form Six Paths: Susanoo through the Rinne Seal’s amplification. 173
- Makes Susanoo’s Forehead Chamber indestructible, allowing it to withstand damage from Ultimate Kawaki. 375
- Creates the Eight Red Sun Array to contain Deidara’s S4 explosive, which would otherwise devastate a thirty-kilometer radius. 372
Sage Jutsu
Sasuke trains under the White Snake Sage at Ryūchi Cave rather than attempting to imitate another wielder’s Six Paths Senjutsu.
- Maintains Sage Mode continuously for two months until it becomes natural and leaves no visible horns or eye-shadow. 357
- Achieves Normal Sage Transformation, a state that forms the basis of his “Complete Six Paths” power. 357
- Uses Sage Art: White Agitation Dragon Roar to create nine dragons that restrain and overwhelm Kawaki. 372
Regeneration and Organ-Separation Tactics
Sasuke uses his evolved Amenotejikara and Hashirama-cell power to make conventional lethal damage ineffective.
- Separates vital organs from his body and encases them in a spatial membrane that preserves their function. 363
- Can regenerate a destroyed head so long as his preserved organs remain intact. 363
- His eyes, cochlea, and vocal cords remain vulnerable because he must carry them to perceive and communicate. 363
- Uses this anatomy as a trap: when Kawaki infiltrates his ear to attack his brain, Sasuke reveals that his skull is empty and attempts to incinerate Kawaki with black-flame swords. 362
Self-Created Techniques
- Mogakebirei — A Six Paths Body Flicker that turns Sasuke into a falling lightning strike; its speed is difficult for even Six-Tomoe Rinnegan perception to follow. 372
- Chidori: Star Shatter — A Six Paths Yin Lightning strike used to destroy a Chibaku Tensei satellite. 192
- Take Mikazuchi — Chidori fused with Kagutsuchi and Amaterasu’s black flames. 27
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Amenonuhoko — Sword created by the Six Paths and modeled after Sasuke’s lost Kusanagi Sword. 173
- Tachi-style sword hilt — Guardless Shippuden-era-style refitting of his blade. 357
- Black cloak — Standard outer garment used during travel and combat. 357
- Rinne Seal — Six Paths-created forehead seal that stores and expends dōjutsu power; later destroyed by Isshiki’s Heavenly Sun Spear. 173 215
Relationships
- Naruto Uzumaki — Longtime partner and fellow defender of Konoha. Their differing views on Chen, Kaguya, and the Six Paths strain their bond, but they repeatedly coordinate against Isshiki. 194 197 202
- Sakura Haruno — His wife. Sakura’s farewell vision helps Sasuke accept his bonds and choose his own path; her later death becomes a central reason for his pursuit of Kawaki. 173 357
- Uchiha Sarada — His daughter. Sasuke reassures her before leaving Konoha and later treats threats against her as a direct reason to stop Kawaki. 10 375
- Uchiha Chen — Initially an enemy and subject of Sasuke’s investigation. Sasuke later accepts Chen as the Child of Prophecy and serves as his external ally without formally joining Shadow Hidden Village. 12 239 357
- Orochimaru — Former mentor and uneasy ally. Sasuke relies on Orochimaru’s intelligence, medical assistance, and Ryūchi Cave’s concealment while remaining aware of Orochimaru’s manipulative nature. 12 218
- Karin, Suigetsu, and Jūgo — Hawk Squad comrades who receive Sasuke after his survival and support his preparations at Ryūchi Cave. 217 357
- Kawaki — Target of Sasuke’s later campaign. Sasuke intends to force Kawaki’s Karma to progress while holding him accountable for the disaster that took Sakura’s life. 357
- Hanabi Hyūga, Kakuzu, and Deidara — Teammates assigned to Sasuke’s Kawaki-hunting operation. Sasuke acts as their captain and coordinates their battlefield roles. 357 372
- Six Paths — Benefactor and source of Sasuke’s Rinne Seal, but also a controlling influence whose priorities Sasuke openly challenges. 173 194 202
