He-El uncovered the Monitors’ plans, explored the wild Lesser Omniverse, and built Zero into a Shapeshifting Ship while taking over Kolon Novo’s role. He then replaced his Source Universe counterpart and established the New Krypton Continent in Australia, leaving its residents to decide whether to stay.

Arc 65The Monitor Domain

He-El developed plans to evolve his genes and assigned Olympus leaders to conquer new universes, but Zero’s discovery of Unicron’s multiverse threat led him to confront the Monitors. After capturing Kolon Novo and studying his memories and genes with Doctor Manhattan, He-El learned that the Monitors sought to become like him.

  • He-El chose to pursue a fusion of the Doomsday Ultimate Form and Hyper-Adaptive Gene, while Ares, Izaya, Apollo, and Artemis selected systems and received assignments to lead conquests.

He-El used Kolon Novo to explore the Monitor Domain and steal a cruise ship, whose disappearance exposed a wild realm with many operational logics. The Monitors recognized it as a Lesser Omniverse, and Kolon Novo entered enhancement and testing as they prepared to locate it.

  • He-El hid inside Kolon Novo’s Completion Gene and returned with him to the Monitor Domain, where Kolon Novo agreed to feed He-El information while keeping his place among the Monitors.
  • Kolon Novo inspected Ruxiangüli Campos’s cruise ship, and He-El sent Doctor Manhattan through a Traversal Vortex to seize it and carry Ruxiangüli Campos and her assistants into the He-El Universe.
  • Kolon Novo summoned Gladys Boye to investigate the vanished ship, and Gladys discovered strange operating logics that had altered Kolon Novo’s Completion Gene and made him a Level Three Source Universe candidate.

He-El replaced Kolon Novo, used the Monitors’ pursuit of Doctor Manhattan to learn about the Lesser Omniverse and Mandrak, and built Zero into a Shapeshifting Ship. Mamadal Novo appointed He-El as Kolon Novo to take over Mandrak’s abandoned Source Universe and Monitoring Station.

  • The Level Four Chief Overseer enhanced Kolon Novo, but He-El fused with his genes, killed him, and took his place.
  • He-El impressed the Level Three Overseers with his simulator result and learned from Nix Wutan that Mandrak had been imprisoned after absorbing negative information and threatening the Source Universes.

Arc 68The New Krypton Empire

He-El replaced his Source Universe counterpart and arrived on Earth, where he defeated the Justice League and declared Australia the New Krypton Continent. He left its residents to choose whether to flee or become citizens, and Robert chose to stay and work for the empire.

  • He-El killed the Source Universe’s He-El, took his place, and traveled to Earth aboard a battered Kryptonian ship.
  • The Justice League tried to intercept He-El, but he defeated its members and brought the ship to Earth.
  • After He-El overcame the heroes and other defenders, Kara-El told him that Earth’s people should not suffer for Krypton, and he claimed Australia instead of conquering the planet.
