Arc 69Founding New Krypton

He-El established the New Krypton Empire in Australia, securing United Nations recognition through Kara’s diplomacy and promises of technology and medical care. The Justice League and Green Lanterns failed to stop him, while The Flash became the Empire’s liaison to powered factions and New Krypton began rebuilding its territory.

  • Kara helped He-El manage the evacuation of former Australia, then became New Krypton’s diplomat and worked to prevent conflict with Superman and Earth’s governments.
  • More than twelve million people left former Australia while around eight million stayed, and the New Krypton Empire was founded and recognized by all 193 United Nations members.
  • At the founding ceremony, Kara promised medical care, genetic enhancements, and technological cooperation, but Ganthet and the Justice League interrupted and challenged He-El.
  • He-El defeated Ganthet, the Green Lanterns, and the assembled heroes, exploiting their weaknesses while Batman and Superman were badly injured.

Arc 70The He-El Physique

He-El created a body that could adapt to any universe, then entered the Dragon Ball universe to train. There he met Bulma and Goku, and his journey with them began.

  • He-El returned to his universe, integrated the Monitors’ data, and discovered that the New Krypton Empire was under attack by forty-five factions.
  • He-El and Ciri, Lucy, Zero, and Doctor Manhattan spent twelve hundred universe-ending spans creating a body capable of adapting to any universe, which He-El named the He-El Physique.

Arc 71The Dragon Ball Journey

He-El, Bulma, and Goku traveled to gather the Dragon Balls, meeting Master Roshi and foiling Emperor Pilaf’s theft. The group pursued another Dragon Ball and entered a deserted village, where an axe swung at Goku from inside a locked house.

  • He-El joined Bulma and Goku in searching for the Dragon Balls, and Goku hoped to use them to revive his grandfather, Son Gohan.
  • Ashu and Mai crashed their fighter near Bulma’s car and later stole her pouch and Dragon Ball as the group helped Turtle return to the sea.
  • Master Roshi gave Goku the Flying Nimbus, sparred with He-El, and acknowledged He-El’s skill and Ki control.

Arc 72The Dragon Ball Journey

He-El, Goku, Bulma, and Yamcha traveled toward the Dragon Balls, defeating Oolong and meeting Ox-King, Chi-Chi, and Master Roshi along the way. After Master Roshi destroyed Fry-Pan Mountain, Bulma found another Dragon Ball, while the group headed toward Emperor Pilaf and then encountered trouble in a town.

  • He-El stopped Goku from entering a villager’s home without permission, then promised to defeat Oolong King and recover the kidnapped girls in exchange for Granny Baozi’s Six-Star Dragon Ball.
  • Goku identified Oolong by his Ki after Oolong fled from the village, and the group brought him to his mansion, where the supposedly kidnapped girls chose to remain before returning home with the villagers.
  • He-El trained Goku in the desert and defeated Yamcha, who joined the group as Goku’s sparring partner after He-El agreed to teach him.
