Background / History
Bai Muxu rose as one of Lingxu Sacred Land's greatest prodigies, building his reputation on rapid advancement and the supreme Dao Foundation formed through the Heavenly Origin Dao Foundation Method. His ability to fight above his realm allowed him to challenge Golden Cores at Foundation Establishment, Nascent Souls at Golden Core, and kill two Spirit Transformation demonic cultivators at Nascent Soul. 8 9
He established Tianmen Peak to seek a successor capable of inheriting his legacy and, ultimately, helping investigate the blockade that trapped higher-realm cultivators. His standards were infamously severe: disciples had to achieve Foundation Establishment within one hundred days without cultivation-boosting pills, or leave his peak. Several candidates failed this condition, including Liu Muyu and Qing Changyu. 8 9 24 337
After Li Tianwei climbed the Heart-Questioning Stairway, Bai Muxu sensed that the youth's Spirit Root was unusual but could not identify the problem. He nevertheless accepted Li Tianwei into Tianmen Peak after the disciple confidently accepted the hundred-day challenge. 8 9
Bai Muxu oversaw Li Tianwei's dangerous and unconventional early cultivation. He concealed the Five Elements phenomenon caused by Li Tianwei's revised cultivation method, watched helplessly as his disciple used life-burning secret arts, and protected him from outside attention after he comprehended multiple Dao Intents. 12 16 33
Following Li Tianwei's Foundation Establishment, Bai Muxu formally recognized him as his disciple and granted him the sentient Immortal Art Five Intentions Condensing Heaven Art, cultivation resources, magic treasures, and defensive artifacts. 19 20
When Li Tianwei's demonic techniques and Dao Intents became increasingly sinister, Bai Muxu gave him the Extreme Good Lead Hua Scripture to balance his path. He then arranged Li Tianwei's entry into the Taixu Forbidden Land, personally escorting him to its entrance and instructing him on its dangers, temptations, and Immortal Souls. 75 76 79
Bai Muxu delayed his own breakthrough for nearly two hundred years, hoping to use his tribulation to find a way beyond the Evil Demons' blockade. Once the blockade weakened and was ultimately shattered, he successfully advanced to the Nascent Soul Stage. 346 362 367

Personality
Bai Muxu is confident, exacting, and intensely proud of his own cultivation path. He treats his hundred-day Foundation Establishment as a basic standard because he personally accomplished it, making him appear unreasonable to other elders and prospective disciples. 8 9
Despite this severity, he is a protective and attentive master. He waits anxiously for Li Tianwei's progress, investigates abnormalities on Tianmen Peak, conceals his disciple's Dao Intents from jealous rivals, and is prepared to confront any sect that persecutes Li Tianwei for practicing demonic arts. 3 11 32 33
He is frequently stunned by Li Tianwei's growth but tries to maintain a composed master's dignity. Li Tianwei's comprehension of a Divine Ability, hundred Dao Intents, and extreme cultivation speed repeatedly force Bai Muxu to reassess both his disciple and himself. 76 372 375
