Bai Muxu gives the scripture to Li Tianwei after recognizing that Li Tianwei's cultivation has become excessively sinister from demonic techniques. Although Bai Muxu considers the method overly gentle and disagrees with its creator's belief that even demonic cultivators can be purified and educated, he considers it suitable for restoring balance to Li Tianwei's path. The original creator was ultimately killed by a Demonic Cultivator despite possessing strength and talent comparable to Bai Muxu's. 198

Li Tianwei later modifies the scripture according to his own convictions. He incorporates its lotus-platform manifestation into his Dao Foundation and makes the method increasingly radical and personal; its Book Spirit is itself influenced by Li Tianwei's revised aura. 225
