Qian Renxue operates within the Heaven Dou Imperial Family under the male identity of Xue Qinghe, the Crown Prince. Her disguise supports her long-term succession plans, though Emperor Xue Ye suspects that “Xue Qinghe” may not be who he appears to be. To preserve her cover and prevent Xue Beng from gaining an advantage, she accepts an arranged marriage to Li Yu, who is publicly treated as the Crown Prince Consort. 2 3

Initially, she regards Li Yu as a potentially useful subordinate and decides to invest in her cultivation after witnessing her extraordinary progress. She personally accompanies Li Yu to Sunset Forest to obtain a third Soul Ring and ultimately supports Li Yu's dangerous choice to absorb an unknown dual-element Soul Ring. 5 7
