Background / History

Madara’s legacy remains central to the Uchiha Clan long after his original death. Uchiha Setsuna presents himself as the inheritor of Madara’s will and had previously attempted a coup during Tobirama Senju’s rule, while many Uchiha regard Madara as their unmatched ancestral ideal. 21 59

Before his resurrection, Obito operates under Madara’s name and relies on Madara’s old arrangements, including a mark that allows the Nine-Tails to be summoned. Madara later dismisses Obito as a pawn he personally selected and corrupted. 217 218

After Obito betrays Nagato and forces him to perform the Rinne Rebirth Technique, Madara returns in a prime body. His resurrection is immediately compromised when Konan steals his left Rinnegan during her escape, leaving him to reclaim only the remaining eye from Nagato. 201 202
