Dai Zhirou is a Star Luo princess born to the Emperor and an unnamed woman. Because she inherited her mother's Human-Faced Spider Martial Soul rather than the imperial Evil Eye White Tiger, her political value was tied to an arranged marriage with the Zhu family rather than a fused martial-soul pairing. She deeply resents anyone who disparages her mother. 24

Her engagement to Zhu Pingshui was a political arrangement. Though her exceptional talent allowed her years of relative freedom, she remained subject to her family's marriage politics; she cites her sister's early betrothal as an example of that lack of choice. 24 25

Dai Zhirou meets Taishi Ming through the Five Poisons. Their early interactions are dominated by mutual teasing and his unwanted pet names for her. 12 23

Her fiancé Zhu Pingshui arrives and reveals his contempt for both Dai Zhirou and her mother. Dai Zhirou rejects him outright and orders him never to appear before her again. 24 Taishi Ming subsequently arranges events around Zhu Pingshui's death in part to resolve her predicament. 28

Journey to the Star Luo Empire

After learning Taishi Ming survived his staged death, Dai Zhirou is furious at the deception but recognizes that he and Snake Princess acted for her sake. She agrees to travel with him toward Star Luo. 29

In the Heavenly Spirit Mountain Range, she kills a ten-thousand-year Unicorn Tiger and discovers its Soul Bone. She gives the valuable item to Taishi Ming and guards him while he refines it, earning his complete trust and the disclosure of his second Martial Soul. 31 32

Revelation of Her Second Martial Soul

While Taishi Ming refines a Soul Ring, Dai Zhirou fights Zhang Dong, Nancheng, and Xifeng alone. To protect him, she unveils the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger and kills Nancheng while severely injuring the others. 34
