Background / History

Hanyu was introduced as the fourth-ranked member of the Five Poisons. At fifteen, she possessed innate eighth-rank Soul Power, was a level 42 Assault System Battle Soul Master, and was noted for unusually high defense alongside her offensive strength. Her martial soul is the Giant Strength Emperor Scorpion. 12

During the Five Poisons' Soul Fighting Arena match, Hanyu fought at the front line alongside Snake Princess and Bai Jingjing. Her superior base strength allowed her to overpower Bear King in a direct clash despite his stronger-ranked soul skill. 20 21

Years later, Hanyu and Lüping entered Sunset Forest after Hanyu fled her arranged marriage to Liu Bufan, the son of Liuyun City's foremost marquis. She openly rejected him because she refused to marry a man prettier than herself. 111
