Although Singapore was not large, the three major branches could hardly have their Valkyries deploy to their respective zones on foot.

Therefore, vehicles were indispensable.

Considering that the teams all had acquaintances among them, the higher-ups chose to turn a blind eye to teams carpooling with one another.

For example, a vehicle might say it was limited to five passengers, but the standard passenger capacity was only a reference. As for how many people a single car could actually fit... that was hard to say.

Like certain branches... one car could fit... you know who I mean, right... Ahem.

"Quick! Xina, there's no time to explain—get in!"

Mei's team, having arrived earlier, had picked a vehicle near the back. Kiana was... standing on its roof, vigorously waving a cloth at Xina.

Feeling the strange looks from the Valkyries around her, whether familiar or unfamiliar, Xina wished there were a crack in the ground she could stick her head into.

"Captain... should we... go over there?" Mary lowered her head to stare at her toes, looking almost as awkward as Xina.

"Our dignity's already gone. Might as well go..."

With that, Xina led her team over to Mei's vehicle.

"Okay, I'll drive today!"

After stuffing the Sniper Rifle case into the trunk, Xina opened the door and plopped herself into the driver's seat.

"Captain, you can drive?" Mary asked.

"I've raced before!" Xina nodded.

"(⊙o⊙) Huh?... Raced..." Mary stared dumbfoundedly at her tiny, slender captain, seemingly unable to imagine how she could possibly race cars.

Vroom!

The gates opened. While the other vehicles were still starting up, Xina pulled off a Sixth-Gear Launch, flooring the accelerator and blasting out of the base toward the bumpy road outside.

"Holy crap, wh-who's driving that? How are they so fierce?" Himeko, stationed aboard the Hyperion, watched the off-road vehicle taking the lead on the screen before her and even forgot where she had left off in her conversation with Fu Hua.

"Oh my god! Captain, slow down!" Rosa pressed herself against the seatback in terror, both hands gripping the roof handle tightly as though it were her lifeline.

She had never been afraid when facing Death Stalkers and Honkai Beasts during live missions, but... under Xina's miraculous Sixth-Gear Launch, she finally, shamefully, chickened out.

The reason was simple. On a road this broken, any normal person would first look for a decent route. Xina, however, ignored the road conditions entirely and only took shortcuts.

Like that collapsed overpass just now. There had clearly been several War-Chariot Class Honkai Beasts standing on it, yet Xina acted as though she hadn't seen them. She accelerated straight to 180, actually pulled off an airborne jump, and flew right over the heads of those Honkai Beasts.

Sitting in the back seat, Rosa had even heard the trunk scrape against a Honkai Beast's head as the vehicle came down.

As they drew closer to the mission area, Xina turned into a narrow path. At the exit, she spun the steering wheel and brought the entire car into an open space, ending her performance with a dazzling drifting stop.

"Bleurgh~"

As soon as the doors opened, the passengers all began vomiting in unison.

Once they had finished and felt somewhat better, the Valkyries finally recovered their composure, no longer as listless as before.

Now, they desperately needed to find some "lucky ones" to vent the frustration they had been holding in.

"Look, Death Stalkers!"

Sharp-eyed Kiana pointed into the distance, eager to make a move.

"Captain, should we go... take them... all out...?" Rosa raised a hand and made a throat-slitting gesture.

"Mm, go ahead!"

Xina jumped out of the car, took her Sniper Rifle case from Rosa, opened it, pulled out the rifle, and set it up in one... several breaths.
