Separating the Obscurus!
Harry came out of the room, his fists clenched tightly, his once neatly styled hair now disheveled.
This time, however, Lily didn't ask him to change; the mother and son hugged.
"Daisy has already drunk the Pumpkin Juice, and she's a little dazed now," Harry said softly.
"Yes—she'll be alright..." The Potter family hugged each other.
Dumbledore waved his wand, and the furniture and other items in Daisy's room flew to another place. He then took out the box that Sean had seen before.
"Let's begin."
Dumbledore drew even more Runes this time than before, and the new symbols were also more complex. By the time the symbols disappeared into the air, Daisy was already dozing off on the bed in the center.
Dumbledore looked at Sean and Harry: "You two go downstairs first, Sean. I'll call you whenever I need you."
"Okay, Professor."
Sean agreed, then put his arm around the worried Harry and led him down the stairs.
The area between the first and second floors seemed to be under a spell, as the two of them clearly felt the fluctuations of magic as they went down.
Once they got to the living room, they couldn't hear anything from upstairs. Harry scratched his head in frustration. He wanted to walk around the living room for a bit, but he was worried that his footsteps would disturb the upstairs neighbors, so he just sat in a chair and kept shaking his leg.
Sean didn't speak. He understood that at this moment, any words of comfort would be futile; everything depended on the results from upstairs.
Under the influence of the spell, there was no sound in the living room. Harry stood up several times to look at the stairs, but in the end, he stopped himself.
Time seemed to stretch on endlessly, and Sean's mood grew increasingly heavy.
The timing is wrong...
He checked his watch several times; this time it had taken more than twice as long as the time Nagini had taken.
Normally, Daisy's Blood Curse wasn't that serious, and it should have been lifted by now.
"Fuck! Fuck!—" Harry cried out in a suppressed voice from his chair. His eyes were bloodshot, and his fingers gripped the armrests of the chair so tightly that the already tattered velvet fabric was now torn apart.
"Thump!!" At that moment, a loud crashing sound came from upstairs.
Sean and Harry both looked over.
"Thump!!"
"Thump!!"
More violent impacts followed one after another, like a ferocious beast trapped in a cage struggling madly.
Harry jumped to his feet; he wanted to go upstairs.
Sean grabbed him and said seriously, "Harry! You have to understand, if we go over there now, they won't have time to look after us. Going up there will only cause trouble!"
Harry clenched his teeth, his whole body trembling slightly, and he gasped for breath. "That's my sister, my only sister..."
"Harry ..."
"I'm sorry..." Harry's hand fell limply to his side, and he slumped back into his chair.
The violent impact lasted for a while, during which James got down once, his face flushed with an unhealthy redness, and his left hand had a twisted, grayish-black wound.
He simply nodded to the two of them, took a bottle of unknown Potions, and quickly went up the stairs again.
As time passed, the crashing sound disappeared. Sean glanced at his watch; more than four times the normal time had elapsed.
At that moment, a loud bang of breaking glass was heard, followed by the sound of heavy objects falling to the ground.
Sean hurried to the window and saw that the short, stout middle-aged wizard who had been talking to James was lying on the grass in the yard, clutching his body and groaning softly.
At the same time, Dumbledore's voice came through clearly.
"Sean."
He took one last look at the man who had fallen from the second floor, then quickly walked up the stairs.
As soon as Sean got upstairs, his eyes widened. In the corridor, a huge hole had been blown open on the side of the long row of windows, the wall on that side had completely disappeared, and only half of the corridor remained.
Beside the broken log, Neville and his wife stood panting. The round-faced Auror had a wound on his forehead, and his wife was trying to stop the bleeding.
Sirius was also in a sorry state. After gesturing to Dumbledore, he dragged his tattered robes and jumped down from the second floor, heading towards the short, stout wizard who had fallen.
Moody stood at Daisy's doorway, wand in hand—or rather, there was only a broken hole in the wall, and on the cracked wooden floor at the entrance, a leg dressed in black trousers lay silently.
Sean remembered that those were James's pants.
"Sean!" Dumbledore's urging voice rang out again in the room.
Sean rushed over and, looking over the leg, found James lying unconscious on the ground, with Lily casting healing spells on him with her wand.
He turned his gaze to the center of the room.
On Daisy's bed, a writhing mass of black, oily substance was trembling violently. It was like an extremely unstable fluid, with black smoke particles swirling around its edges.
At the very center, the red core was exposed, and it looked like it was filled with magma, with deep red light flowing and shimmering inside.
At the core is an illusory thread that connects to Daisy's body.
Daisy's skin was even paler, her face covered with twisted, gray-black scars, and on her thin, weak right wrist was a daisy emerging from her skin, the daisy a strange, blood-red color, but most of its petals had fallen off.
The thread connecting Obscurus and Daisy pulsated like a water pipe, as if trying to draw Daisy to the other end.
In the middle of that line, an old hand clenched tightly; it belonged to Dumbledore, whose face was etched with weariness.
Runes's runes flickered dimly, Dumbledore's other hand, holding the wand, slowly and steadily repeated a certain trajectory.
"Sean, calm it down. Once it's calmed down, I will separate it completely from Daisy," Dumbledore said in a deep voice.
"I understand, Professor." Sean took a deep breath and looked at the Obscurus light.
The red core flickered a few times, and as Sean approached, a portion of the Obscurus emerging black oily substance suddenly extended out, ready to attack Sean!
A spell repelled Obscurus, and Moody, holding his wand, nodded to him, signaling Sean to continue.
"Phew..." Sean let out a deep breath. This was truly the first time he'd ever soothed the Obscurus under the influence of the Blood Curse...
He uncorked the Potions in his hand and looked at the core.
In just a moment, the cruel, savage instinct transformed into a massive surge of negative emotions that rushed over!
