"Sit down—" Snape looked at everyone. "Why haven't I seen any of you write this down?"

The old bat's intimidating presence remained undiminished; as soon as he finished speaking, everyone hurriedly lowered their heads and began to write.

Daisy sat down in a daze, never expecting that her first bonus would come from Potions.

Little White Flower thought with a hint of excitement, "This Professor Snape isn't as harsh as others say."

She was even a little confused, because Harry said that it was almost normal for him to get points deducted in Snape's class, and if he didn't get points deducted in a class, it meant that Snape's main target that day was Sean.

As for the extra points? Harry's best friend Ron Weasley once said, "If Snape ever gives Harry extra points, then he must be being manipulated by someone else."

On the platform, Snape slowly paced back and forth, his voice as faint as if squeezed out from between his teeth, but every student could hear him clearly.

"... You are not qualified to brew these high-level Potions," he introduced the Potions in the dozen or so Cauldron, and continued slowly, "However, that doesn't stop me from giving you some hope—such as a small bottle of Felix Felicis."

"In your first lesson, you will learn how to brew Boil Cure Potion, which will be enough to empty your barren brains—if anyone can do it perfectly, she will receive this insignificant reward."

The young wizards, including Daisy, were immediately excited as they were just getting acquainted with Potions.

However, she wasn't that eager for Felix Felicis; it was being brewed in her mother's Potions- making room, a gift for Sean. Of course, her mother had promised to give her a bottle as a gift too.

Daisy's excitement stemmed from the Potions- making process; being able to study at Hogwarts like a normal person was something she had longed for for a long time.

Snape, dragging his long black robes, paced back and forth in the classroom, sternly pointing out any mistakes made by a young wizard.

"Foolish move—you must not have even turned a single page of the Potions, have you? I do know your father, and it seems you haven't inherited even a tenth of his talent," Snape said to a boy named Kurt Reddy.

Reddy blushed, and the freckles on the tip of his nose trembled with shame and fear.

He didn't know why Professor Snape was targeting him like this; this was the third time already—only twenty minutes of the class had passed. Did the other person have a grudge against his Auror father, whom he was so proud of?

Daisy also witnessed this scene. Although what Professor Snape said was indeed very hurtful, she didn't feel much sympathy for the boy.

She also remembered that when she ran to the high stool during the Sorting Ceremony, the boy whistled at her.

Daisy doesn't like people like that—why can't everyone be as polite as Sean?

Of course, being polite and well-mannered is not enough to compare to Sean's... Little White Flower looked at the Cauldron being licked by the gentle fire with her emerald green eyes, while stroking the medicinal herbs to be added next, muttering to herself.

"Remove the Cauldron from the fire, then add the Porcupine Quills," a voice suddenly reminded me.

Daisy turned her head in a bit of a panic, but only saw Snape's back. He seemed to have just happened to be passing by and casually reminded her.

"Not so harsh..." Daisy muttered as she moved the Cauldron aside to add the Porcupine Quills, then excitedly discovered that her Potions had turned the dark gray described in the book.

However, at the end of the first Potions, Daisy did not receive a perfect potion, and she was somewhat annoyed—she had gotten the cooking time of the Horned Slugs wrong, which greatly reduced the Potions's effectiveness.

Snape examined everyone's potions, pointing out various mistakes in a somber tone. Many students blushed, and Kurt Reddy, who had been constantly scolded during class, even lost points—he had accidentally burned his own Cauldron.

As he approached Daisy, Snape paused, then said expressionlessly, "When boiling the Horned Slugs, adjust the heat three times, each time lower than the last. Then, add the slug pus to the potion within half a minute of it evaporating—understand?"

"Yes, Professor." Daisy nodded quickly.

Snape left with a single sentence. "Not bad for a wizard who is new to Potions. Ravenclaw, five points."

He walked back to the podium. "Obviously, no one can meet my simplest requirements—however, since you are first-year students, I will give you another chance."

Snape rested his hands on the podium, his greasy black hair falling from his forehead. "My promise still stands. We'll brew another potion in the next class. You can go find someone to learn some techniques," he emphasized, "Which might be helpful..."

"Get out of class dismissed."

"As a Ravenclaw student, you actually got extra points from Snape!" Hermione covered her mouth in disbelief in the Ravenclaw Common Room.

Across from her in the chair, Daisy, who was habitually curled up, blinked blankly. Ever since she told Hermione and Sean about her first Potions, the two of them had been looking very strange.

Hermione couldn't believe it, while Sean stared blankly at the sky.

"I think Professor Snape isn't as bad as you all say?" she said cautiously.

Sean sighed, ruffled Daisy's hair as he often did with his sister Ayla, and said to the girl's slightly flushed eyes, "Daisy, I have a feeling you can make up for the points I lost in Snape class."

The Little White Flower bit her lip shyly and whispered, "But I didn't do very well, did I... The previous Potions professor was Mr. Slughorn, right? Harry got Felix Felicis in the first class, I wasn't that good..."

"Snape's standards are higher, and you did a very good job," Hermione said, glancing at Sean with a hint of sarcasm. "Anyway, you're much better than Sean."

Sean blinked. "... Okay, I admit it."

Daisy's eyes curved into crescent moons; she especially liked the feeling of having someone to talk and chat with.

The three chatted for a while, and Daisy brought up the next class again. "Professor Snape said he would give us another chance, but we don't know what potion we'll be brewing in the next class..."

Hermione frowned as well. "Snape and Slughorn have different teaching styles, so our experience from our first year might not be applicable..."

Sean chuckled dryly, "I do have an idea..."
