Daisy's Special Trait
The two found a secluded corner. Dinner time had already passed, and Hermione, worried, hadn't eaten. Instead, she brought over a large pile of snacks.
Hermione's eyes widened when she heard Sean mention Isolt Thayer. She hastily wiped her mouth, said "Wait for me!" and quickly ran back to her dorm in her slippers.
She returned carrying a book, "World Schools of Magic," which listed eleven of the world's oldest and most prestigious School of Magic.
No wonder the name Isolt Thayer looked familiar; I borrowed it from Hermione and looked through it for a while last time... Sean suddenly realized.
Hermione was wearing a short uniform skirt that just reached her knees. She lightly kicked off her slippers and then slumped back into the chair, revealing her two smooth calves to the side.
She flipped through the book in her hands, lost in thought, then exclaimed, "Isolt Thayer! Look! Born around 1603, she was a Pure-blood Ireland witch. She was the daughter of William Thayer and Leona Gaunt, and the wife of James Stewart. Isolt and her husband co-founded the Ilvermorny School of Magic."
Sean didn't remind Hermione that he already knew about Isolt's deeds. He and the girl analyzed it carefully for a while, and finally came to a conclusion: Dumbledore think about these strange things...
As they were whispering, a soft, sweet voice came from afar. "Sean, Hermione, what are you talking about?"
Daisy stood some distance away, watching the two of them curiously.
Sean thought about it and decided that telling Daisy wasn't out of the question; at least it would keep the girl from going to the Forbidden Forest. Besides, given Hagrid's relationship with the Potter family, and considering Hagrid's big mouth and small head, it was only a matter of time before Daisy found out.
Seeing Sean beckon her to come and sit down, Daisy pursed her lips contentedly, trotted over, and sat down next to Sean.
Hermione bit her lip lightly, then subtly shifted her chair toward Sean's position.
Unaware of what was happening, Sean handed Daisy some snacks and then told her about what had happened that day.
"So, don't go to the Forbidden Forest anymore," Sean instructed.
Daisy nodded obediently, then looked curious. "Sean, what does that Horned Serpent you mentioned look like?"
"Um, Hermione, is it mentioned in the book?"
Hermione flipped through the book "World Schools of Magic" in her hand, then opened it to a page. "There are no specific photos, but the Horned Serpent is a school in Ilvermorny, so this sculpture should be fairly accurate to reality."
Sean and Daisy both looked over. On the thick sheet of paper was a photograph of a stone sculpture—a giant python with long horns and a jewel inlaid on its forehead.
Sean nodded. "It's similar to this one, the color is like the ghosts in the castle, all pearl white."
"Ah!" Daisy exclaimed in surprise, her face filled with fear and panic as if she had been greatly frightened.
"What's wrong, Daisy?" Sean asked quickly.
Daisy's frail body was curled up in the chair, her bright green pupils contracted violently in fright, and she clutched her chest tightly with both hands.
"Daisy? Daisy? How are you?" Sean quickly walked up to the girl, wanting to check on her condition.
Daisy's body was trembling. When she saw Sean, it was like seeing a savior. She frantically hugged him.
"What's wrong?" Sean's body stiffened for a moment, but he still gently hugged the girl back.
She held Sean for a while before she gradually calmed down, but fear still lingered in her eyes.
"Are you alright?" he asked, looking down.
Daisy took a deep breath before slowly saying, "I remember... I remember... I've seen Horned Serpent!"
Have you seen him before? Sean frowned immediately.
"You mean you saw this creature when you were a child?"
Daisy's eyes reddened slightly. "Yes, yes, I don't know why, but I suddenly remembered it all, and then I felt really scared..."
Fear? What could possibly frighten Daisy...? Sean looked up abruptly, suddenly realizing that Daisy's Blood Curse had been inflicted on her when she was a child, and no one knew who had cursed Daisy.
"Daisy, is something on your mind about that?!"
Daisy nodded in fear. "That person, that person cast a spell on me! There was a Horned Serpent wrapped around him!"
"Your memory has been altered..." Sean said in a deep voice, "Daisy, you don't remember anything from before, do you?"
Little White Flower Blossom nodded, tears streaming down her face.
Sure enough... But why did Daisy remember it the moment she saw the Horned Serpent...?
Sean's pupils suddenly contracted.
The switch— the Horned Serpent —is it the switch to awaken Daisy's memories? He'd encountered something similar in Godric's Hollow!
The elderly Bathilda Bagshot's memories were also altered, and of course, she suddenly remembered the letter. Dumbledore told her that it was because magic had set a switch that could awaken her memories.
Daisy is clearly in the same situation now!
What was their purpose? Daisy recalled the time she was cursed; it had no effect on the caster and only increased the risk of exposure...
etc...
Sean looked down at Daisy, who was still holding him tightly, but she had calmed down a lot by now.
He said softly, "Daisy, did you receive a note from Hagrid today?"
Daisy nodded. "I received it... but Hagrid and I agreed to meet tomorrow. He said he has a gift for me."
Sean's breathing became heavier; Daisy would be at Hagrid's Hut tomorrow...
But what is the purpose? What will happen if Daisy encounters the Ghostly Horned Serpent there and her memories are awakened? Daisy hasn't shown any other unusual behavior so far...
Sean suddenly had a thought: Had he accidentally pressed a switch?
He conveyed an idea to Dave.
"Dave, smell this girl."
Soon, Dave sent back his thoughts. "Smells good... Hmm, a little less nice than you, but better than that old man's."
The old man Dave was referring to was Professor Scamander.
Sean's expression became even more serious, which meant that Daisy's Magical Creature Affinity was also very high!
He also remembered Newt's Conjecture: the reason the Horned Serpent sought his help was because his scent was similar to Isolt Thayer's. It was a metaphor; essentially, it meant that Sean, like Isolt Thayer, had a high Magical Creature Affinity.
And Daisy was the same...
