The World Will Awakens
As he watched Sean turn and leave, a hint of hesitation appeared in Capen's eyes.
He glanced down at the Christmas gift he had originally planned to give to Milani.
The rough and simple box has been completely transformed, and the packaging now looks elegant and exquisite.
This is magic, the magic I've always dreamed of... This was the first thought that popped into Capen's mind.
He was even a little annoyed that he hadn't paid close attention to Mr. Wallop's movements when he cast the spell.
However, this thought was quickly suppressed by the things that were constantly on his mind.
Capen glanced hesitantly at the gift in his hand, suddenly unsure whether he should give it to her.
He wasn't really sure about his own ideas, or rather, he had too many ideas.
Of course he knew Milani was a good person...
The two of them grew up together. She wouldn't laugh at herself for wearing old clothes that didn't fit, she wouldn't look down on herself for always swallowing her anger, and she certainly wouldn't bully her with David and his gang of bad kids.
She's very good to herself...
Because of his experiences growing up, Capen was more mature than other children, and it was because of this that he knew himself clearly.
He has low self-esteem.
But Mr. Wallop's arrival shattered all of that. Capen began to yearn for that mysterious and unknown world, for a better life and a better version of himself, and also... began to yearn for Milani.
But as he learned more about that world, Capen began to hesitate again.
He learned that his father was a Squib, born into the Magical World but unable to become a wizard.
Capen could never forget the look of joy and excitement on his father's face, and the envy he felt, after Mr. Wallop had spoken with him.
My father is envious of me...
He also couldn't forget that his father drank a lot of wine that night and told him many things about the Magical World.
My father mentioned many differences between the Magical World and the ordinary world. Yes, the difference between Squib and wizards is so great, so what about Muggle and wizards?
Capen didn't know what he was hesitating about, but he knew he was very worried.
If, if Milani knew that she was a wizard, an outcast unlike herself... would she still treat herself the way she does now?
Will she look at me with a terrified expression?
Capen felt he couldn't accept the thought of that scene.
But Mr. Wallop, the man who had brought tremendous change and even hope to his life, was encouraging himself... but he also gave himself a choice.
Capen sighed and looked toward Ms. Bathilda's yard.
Mr. Wallop bowed slightly and was talking to Ms. Bathilda had just opened the door.
From this angle, Capen could see Mr. Wallop's gentle and polite smile.
If only I could be like Mr. Wallop, he wouldn't have this kind of trouble.
"Oh, oh, Sean, thank you for the Christmas present," Old Bathilda said tremulously.
"Please don't be so polite, ma'am, I really like your gift too," Sean said with a smile.
"I'm glad you like it. Gellert's upstairs..."
Sean nodded, and after helping Old Bathilda back to the living room, he tiptoed upstairs to the second floor.
"Knock, knock, knock." He knocked on the door.
Young Grindelwald didn't say anything, but the door opened a crack by itself.
Sean pushed open the door and walked in. "Good afternoon, sir, Merry Christmas."
Young Grindelwald sat in the only chair in the room, holding a bottle of red wine, which he was chugging down without any regard for decorum.
Sean looked around, waved his wand, and the empty wine bottles in the room floated over and twisted into a chair.
Young Grindelwald raised an eyebrow and then chuckled, "You reek of an Inferi —you went to see him? Ha, what did you come up with?"
Sean sat down in his chair and sniffed his robes. He had rushed over and hadn't changed into new ones, only drying them with magic. He hadn't expected Grindelwald to be able to smell the so-called Inferi scent; his own robes smelled perfectly normal...
"Yes, I went to see him," Sean admitted frankly, abandoning his search for the so-called scent of the Inferi. Then he changed the subject, "But I didn't go to discuss it. I got a solution, and I went to inform him."
Young Grindelwald's eyes narrowed slightly, his smile a mixture of pleasure and mockery, "A solution—it seems you've really gone to great lengths."
Sean shrugged. "This has been my only goal lately. Whether for you guys or for me and everyone else in this world, this problem needs to be solved."
"What a kind and benevolent person," Young Grindelwald licked his lips. "Come on, tell me what you've come up with."
"Consistency..." Sean began to explain in detail how to make the two Grindelwald "become one".
After he finished speaking, Young Grindelwald stroked his stubble, looking thoughtful.
After a long pause, he finally spoke, "A very clever idea. If we do as you suggest, it will most likely succeed—oh, so the world's crisis is resolved just like that!"
Young Grindelwald's smile grew increasingly unrestrained, Sean stared at him without saying a word.
"Why aren't you saying anything, my child? I've approved of your idea, and the success rate is very high." Grindelwald smiled happily.
Sean shrugged. "Approval doesn't mean acceptance. Clearly, sir, you're not prepared to cooperate with him."
Young Grindelwald. was even happier. "You are indeed very clever, although there is a huge flaw in that plan—I do not want to cooperate with you, you are quite right."
Just as I thought... Sean pursed his lips.
Young Grindelwald. seemed quite pleased with Sean's expression, and said leisurely, "Sean, you underestimate the power of time. Yes, you're right, I am Grindelwald, and he is Grindelwald; we are essentially one person."
"However," his eyes suddenly turned cold, "I have been imprisoned for nearly a century, but I have not seen a better world, nor have I seen my ideals achieved—I am very dissatisfied because I am Grindelwald."
Sean sighed silently; it was pretty much as he had imagined.
That's just Grindelwald's nature...
Young Grindelwald. continued, "I can tell you're really trying to convince me. I like the wine I enjoy, all sorts of things about the Wizarding World's development over the past century, that so-called prosperity that's somewhat pleasing to the eye. Oh, and that kid named Capen, your little schemes are quite interesting—"
"However, I don't need a healed Obscurial. I need a world Obscurus will never be born again. Sean, answer me, if I were to become one with him, could it be done?"
Young Grindelwald. raised his bottle to him. "Can't do it, right? Ha, to the world."
Sean looked at the other person, feeling a mix of emotions.
Young Grindelwald. was not even twenty years old when he was imprisoned. Although both were Grindelwald, he was clearly more idealistic—which is why idealists are more furious when their dreams are shattered.
Let's rely on evidence.
Sean stood up. "Sir, I know it's almost impossible to convince you."
"Good to know. Go on, Merry Christmas." Young Grindelwald waved his hand, as if to see the guest out.
Sean didn't move, but instead pulled out a bottle. "So I choose to let you convince yourself."
The moment Sean pulled out the Memory Bottle, Young Grindelwald's eyes changed.
His eyes sharpened and became dangerous, filled with deep anger.
"Sir, this is his memory—well, from 1996," Sean said truthfully.
Young Grindelwald snorted coldly, and a chill gradually spread.
"I can't say I understand how you feel, since I haven't been through it... But I think you should take a look at this memory. Maybe you can get an answer. Or, if you feel he can't convince you, you can just maintain the status quo. You won't lose anything, right?"
Sean spoke quickly while observing the other person's expression.
No one knew Grindelwald better than Grindelwald, and he felt that the other party would not refuse.
This person enjoys pursuing the truth and dislikes having his fate controlled—regardless of his attitude towards his future self, he will not reject this memory.
The chill lingered in the room for a while before Young Grindelwald tossed aside the wine bottle in his hand and stood up.
"I'm giving you a chance, but if this doesn't convince me, then don't bother coming to me again—let's welcome a new world in 1996."
After saying that, he disappeared from the spot.
"Phew..." Although Sean felt quite confident, he had to admit he was still a little worried if Young Grindelwald didn't cooperate at all...
He transformed into black smoke, emerged from the window, and swiftly arrived at the dilapidated old house of the Dumbledore.
Pushing open Dumbledore's former bedroom door, sure enough, Young Grindelwald was already waiting inside.
Looking at the other person's indifferent eyes, Sean didn't waste any words and directly took out the Pensieve that he had prepared beforehand.
He handed the Memory Bottle to the other person and then left the room on his own.
Inside the room, Young Grindelwald held up the Memory Bottle without further thought or hesitation.
He uncorked the bottle, placed the memories inside, and then buried his head.
Outside the room, Sean leaned against the moldy, peeling wall of the corridor, kicking it with his heel while intently listening to the sounds coming from inside the room.
There was no sound... Sean licked his lips.
Time ticked by, and even Sean, who had been mentally prepared, began to feel anxious.
What kind of memories did Grindelwald retain in the future, and how did those memories convince Young Grindelwald...?
Just as Sean was thinking, he suddenly felt goosebumps all over his body and shuddered.
An indescribable yet unforgettable feeling swept through Sean's heart.
This is... a sign that the World Will is beginning to awaken!
Sean walked quickly to the window and looked up at the sky.
The once clear sky suddenly turned dark and gloomy, and a downpour seemed to be brewing.
They're here... Sean's eyes sharpened.
This is the kind of influence that Dumbledore and the future Grindelwald will mention!
This scene was not as spectacular as when Old Grindelwald first realized the truth, but it far surpassed the one Dumbledore examined those century-old memories!
Sean's breathing became rapid involuntarily.
The Dumbledore's old house was enchanted, though not as effective as the Invisibility Cloak, it could still conceal things to some extent, yet the World Will still fluctuated to such an extent!
Dumbledore and Grindelwald said that the impact of this incident would be significant, but within a manageable range.
But seeing the current situation, Sean couldn't help but feel uneasy.
While Dumbledore and Grindelwald were wise and powerful, they were not, after all, God of Wizards...
Moreover, Sean discovered that the so-called controllability... this controllability is in contrast to the worst-case scenario, which is the World Will directly awakening and altering the course of the world.
"Phew... I hope nothing goes wrong that can't be resolved..." Sean muttered to himself.
At this moment, all over the world, wizards, Magical Creatures, Muggle with keen sixth senses all looked up at the sky.
"It's happening again... the same thing as before..." a wizard muttered in fear.
"What exactly is wrong with the world..." a wizard anxiously discussed with his companion.
The Magical Creatures began to return to their nests in a group, huddled together, trembling slightly.
Inside the castle, the professor and students, who were decorating for Christmas, all looked up in unison, then exchanged startled glances with their companions. Hermione grabbed Daisy's hand, both of them looking at each other with worry in their eyes.
In the lonely temple floating in the sky, many figures dressed in black robes all looked up.
"It's starting again..."
"I have a feeling this is inextricably linked to Grindelwald..."
In the Headmaster's Office at Hogwarts, Dumbledore, deep in thought, looked out the window. His eyes lit up, and he murmured to himself, "Sean, you've found it..."
On the eerie island in the middle of the lake, a corner of the air was lifted, revealing an eye. Grindelwald curled the corner of his mouth into a smile, "Time to begin preparations..."
On one side of Godric's Hollow, Capen gazed at the tall trees in the distance and took a deep breath.
He pulled open the ribbon that Sean had magically conjured for him.
The exquisite packaging box twisted and turned back to its original rough and simple appearance.
But Capen simply gripped the box tighter and gave a slight smile.
The exquisite packaging did not disappear as it twisted; instead, it expanded and grew larger, eventually transforming into a thick book.
Hogwarts: Hogwarts, A History
Capen opened it in surprise; there was a card on the title page.
"Merry Christmas, Capen, may we always have good things to do—your friend, Sean Wallerup."
"Mr. Wallop ..." Capen squeezed his eyes together.
He took a deep breath and wiped his eyes.
After a bright smile, he walked resolutely toward the tall tree in the distance.
He had just taken a step when he suddenly looked up at the sky.
That feeling is back... Is time about to disappear again...?
Capen's eyes widened. He had indeed prayed for time to disappear... but not now!
