Little White Flower's Acting Skills
Braving the rain and thunder, Durmstrang's principal, Karkaroff, stormed angrily toward the Quidditch Pitch.
He was accompanied by Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape, who were extremely surprised, and behind him was Leon Schneider, whom Sean had been searching for.
"You! What did you do to my student?!"
Before they even reached the Quidditch Pitch, Karkaroff roared at Sean.
To the onlookers, four terrifying Thunderbird were frantically attacking Krum and Reinhardt. Krum, unyielding to the death, was protecting his classmates behind him, even though Reinhardt was already on the verge of death, his blood flowing everywhere.
The instigator was clearly Sean was standing in front of the two.
"Oh my goodness, oh my goodness—" Professor McGonagall exclaimed, rushing forward. "Where did this Thunderbird come from at Hogwarts? Mr. Wallop, what's going on?"
"What else could it be?!" Karkaroff shouted angrily at Sean as he rushed to his students' side.
"Viktor? Viktor? How are you?"
Krum looked dejected, his face full of bitterness. "Professor, I... I'm fine..."
"That's good, that's good—" Karkaroff breathed a sigh of relief before checking on the dying Reinhardt.
Upon seeing the several deep, bone-revealing wounds on his body, he jumped up like a weasel whose tail had been stepped on.
"Reinhardt! Reinhardt!" he called out anxiously, but how could the unconscious man answer?
"Oh my God—" Professor McGonagall also saw Reinhardt's terrible condition. She exclaimed in shock and immediately called for people to take him to the Hospital Wing.
Snape stood next to Sean, pointing grimly at the Thunderbird circling in the sky. "Mr. Wallop, don't you think you should explain this to us?"
Before Sean could speak, Karkaroff screamed, "What's there to explain?! Keeping high-danger Magical Creatures without permission and directing these beasts to attack distinguished guests from another school—I'll make Dumbledore give me an explanation! This kid has to be expelled and sent to Azkaban!"
Upon hearing Azkaban, the Golden Dawn group, who had been chuckling behind Sean, stopped laughing. Fred and George tried to step forward and explain, but Karkaroff clearly had no interest in listening to them.
As the current headmaster of a School of Magic, his administrative rank is enough to silence students like the Weasley twins.
"You, and your Magical Creatures! Get ready to go to jail together!" Karkaroff waved his hand, deciding Sean's punishment.
After seeing Reinhardt off, Professor McGonagall returned to the scene, frowning. "Professor Karkaroff, the matter hasn't been clarified yet, please don't punish my student without authorization."
"Punishment?!" Karkaroff's eyes widened. "You saw that, didn't you, Professor McGonagall? Those wounds on Reinhardt's body! Even the most terrible and evil Dark Wizard wouldn't do something so cruel!"
Sean pursed his lips. Voldemort would be unhappy if he knew you looked down on him so much.
Moreover, Sean essentially had no evidence; he was simply looking for trouble. Of course, he couldn't let his Thunderbird kill Reinhardt and Krum —though Reinhardt's mouth was just too foul, so Sean went a little overboard.
A month of rest will do the trick; magic is truly amazing.
Professor McGonagall ignored the furious Karkaroff and looked seriously at Sean, then pointed to the Thunderbird in the sky. "Mr. Wallop, what is going on? Why would such a high-danger level Magical Creatures appear so openly in front of everyone?"
Sean understood what Professor McGonagall meant: How did fighting with someone release illegal Magical Creatures?
However, it's not a big problem...
Sean shrugged innocently and waved his wand.
The Thunderbird in the sky cried out, thunder roared, and a storm swept across the entire Quidditch Pitch.
The students were startled again, especially the Durmstrang. Their principal was no better off; as the Thunderbird spread its wings, Karkaroff immediately hid behind Professor McGonagall.
Seeing that the Thunderbird only seemed rather irritable and had no intention of attacking them, Karkaroff jumped back, his spittle almost landing on Sean's face.
"How dare you command illegal Magical Creatures to attack the professor in full view of everyone! You can prepare to spend the rest of your life in Azkaban!"
"Mr. Wallop— " Snape's eyes narrowed as well.
Sean's expression remained unchanged. He put away his wand, and then everyone saw that the previously agitated Thunderbird seemed to have suddenly found their way home. They spread their wings together and soared into the sky, then disappeared from everyone's sight in an instant.
The weather gradually cleared up.
"This..." Karkaroff was stunned for a moment, then spat out, "Wallerup, do you think everyone here is an idiot? Those Thunderbird obeyed your commands, and you think that letting them fly away will erase your incriminating evidence?!"
Sean shrugged innocently. "But, Professor, summoned creatures do indeed disappear after the summoning spell ends, don't they?"
"A summoning spell?" Karkaroff was stunned for a moment, then flew into a rage. "Are you treating me like an idiot?!"
Sean stretched out his hand and twirled it around. "Everyone here can testify that these Thunderbird appeared because of Summoning Charm —however, there might be a small problem with my Avis."
He scratched his head in frustration. "This magical accident is really unexpected, but then again, it's magic, it's normal."
Hearing his flippant tone, Karkaroff was furious and laughed coldly. He grinned maliciously and casually pointed at one of Durmstrang's students. "You, tell me! How did those Thunderbird come about?!"
The student glanced timidly at everyone present, and finally stammered, "I... I don't know either..."
"Useless!" Karkaroff cursed, then pointed at another person. "You, step forward! Don't be afraid. This may not be Durmstrang, but your principal will always stand up for you!"
The person whose name was chosen stepped forward reluctantly. Although they had all been frightened by Sean, although they had been unable to move or lift their wands, and although he also disliked Wallerup in front of him, but...
Those Thunderbird did indeed appear out of thin air, and now they've vanished just as suddenly. This certainly fits the Summoning Charm —if I lie and say the Thunderbird were brought by Wallerup, will I face retaliation?
Seeing the student who dared not speak, Karkaroff became furious. He roughly pushed the student away and prepared to drag in another "eyewitness".
The people behind Sean stood up and said that something had happened to Sean's Avis, but Karkaroff ignored them completely, even though Professor McGonagall had coughed heavily several times.
Just before the next unlucky victim was identified, a voice rang out.
"Professor...that was indeed Wallerup's Summoning Charm. I don't understand why the Avis would summon Thunderbird, but that's the truth..."
The speaker was Krum, who had been standing to the side with his head down since earlier. Now, speaking for the first time, he proved that what Sean said was true.
Karkaroff was greatly surprised. He rushed over and put his arm around Krum's shoulder. "My poor child, you must have hurt your head..."
Meanwhile, Professor McGonagall seemed to be deep in thought, "So, this was just a magical accident...?"
"How is this possible?!" Karkaroff was furious at Professor McGonagall's blatant favoritism.
"Even if it was an accidental Summoning Charm, you were the one who injured Reinhardt, weren't you?!" Karkaroff's eyes reddened as he spoke. "He was just a child..."
This old guy's acting is pretty good... Sean felt a chill.
The mention of Reinhardt's injuries caused Professor McGonagall to frown. Fights between students were not uncommon, but such serious injuries were clearly unacceptable.
She turned her questioning gaze to Sean.
To her surprise, Sean gave a heavy, cold snort and looked at Karkaroff: "Sir, may I ask, does Durmstrang's education include having his students constantly provoke innocent people, and even using such a vicious term as ' Mudblood ' to attack him and his friends?"
Before Karkaroff could speak, he straightened his chest and said frankly, "That's right, I did the work on Reinhardt Nott, but I didn't expect the Summoning Charm to have such an accident. Moreover, once the spell is triggered, it cannot be taken back. I just used an ordinary spell."
"Can ordinary spells produce such an effect?" Snape said, as if issuing a warning.
"Wallerup, what spell did you use?" Professor McGonagall asked.
"Oppugno —Professor, you should know this?"
Professor McGonagall nodded thoughtfully. "Miss Granger demonstrated to me that 'Oppugno' is a very ingenious little spell, but its destructive power is quite limited. However, it is worth noting that its destructive power is related to the Avis —so, it is still due to the mutation of the Avis summoning spell?"
"That's it," Sean nodded, then sighed. "Of course, I was also blinded by Mr. Nott's vicious words and didn't stop the second attack after discovering the curse mutation. I'm willing to admit my mistake and accept punishment."
Professor McGonagall nodded seriously. "Mr. Nott was indeed wrong, but he shouldn't have been hurt so badly. However, it's good that you're willing to admit your mistake, Sean. Here's what we'll do: next weekend, you'll be in charge of the most tiring cleaning job at the castle. Also, you're not allowed to come to the Quidditch Pitch again without my permission."
Sean nodded obediently. "I understand, Professor."
Watching the two of them singing in unison, Karkaroff's beard practically flew into the sky.
"What are you talking about?! My student, my most beloved student, is on the verge of death, and this prisoner only needs to do cleaning and be grounded?! Professor McGonagall, do you even believe such nonsense? I'm going to find Dumbledore!"
Snape swung his greasy black hair, his sinister hooked nose slightly raised. "I think this punishment for Wallerup is a little insufficient. How about this, add a Potions- related detention..."
Sean cursed inwardly, "That old bat is taking revenge! He'll make me do some dirty work again!"
However, before Karkaroff could protest this minor punishment, three girls who had been watching from behind stepped forward.
Stephanie lagged behind, her expression obscured. Hermione's face was stiff, like she'd just eaten a Bertie Bott's Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. Only Daisy — the Little White Flower —had a face that was a mix of anger, resentment, grievance, and pity, more fascinating than a pie chart.
Her eyes were red-rimmed. "That Reinhardt Nott, first he insulted Sean, then he used Mudblood to insult Sean and Hermione, and he also hurled very vicious insults at all of us—"
Snape's pupils trembled.
The Little White Flower pitifully raised its head, tears clearly visible at the corners of its eyes. "And, and... sob sob..."
The Little White Flower's sobs caught everyone off guard. Snape almost jumped up on the spot. Sean went over to comfort her and then saw Daisy wink at him.
The girl's skin was indeed black when it was cut open...
Snape was completely flustered. He wanted to go over and say a few words of comfort, but he didn't know what to say. So he just stared at Karkaroff with a sinister look, which made the latter, who had been wanting to lash out, feel very uncomfortable and was stunned on the spot.
As if that wasn't enough, Daisy pouted pitifully, "That Reinhardt Nott, he always makes sarcastic remarks when we bump into each other at the castle, and sometimes he even insults me... I was worried it would affect my friendship with Hogwarts and Durmstrang, so I only told Hermione, Sean, and Stephanie..."
She looked so pitiful. "My mother has never scolded me..."
Snape was struck dumb, and his whole body trembled.
This time, he stopped mentioning punishing Sean and instead looked directly at Karkaroff: "Karkaroff —sir, is this how your school educates its students?! Mr. Wallop acted a little too harshly in his anger today, but firstly because of the curse mutation, and secondly because his friend was insulted—well, it's understandable."
"But that Mr. Nott," his eyelids twitched, and his voice sounded like he was picking his Delia, "Once he recovers, I'd like to see how you're going to discipline your student, Karkaroff."
The final words were no longer an equal dialogue between professors, but a blatant threat.
Karkaroff was immediately rendered speechless.
"I won't let this go!" After holding back for a long time, Karkaroff left the stadium with his Durmstrang team after uttering these words.
"Good acting." Sean quietly gave Daisy a thumbs up.
The Little White Flower raised her eyebrows smugly, but when she saw Snape casting a concerned look at her again, she pouted pitifully.
