Background

Zhang Ning was originally a transmigrator from Earth who arrived in a troubled era of a world later identified as The Nine Cauldrons. Sold at age five, he was bought by Levi, who provided him and other children with food, shelter, and martial-arts instruction. Zhang Ning later returned to protect his country, became a Grandmaster, helped preserve secret techniques during a national crisis, and lived to 103 years old. 1

After his death, he reincarnated as Jianing Dalut of the Dalut Family in the Korur Empire on the Bana Continent. Recognizing the world's warrior-and-mage system as that of Panlong, he pursued Saint Realm for longevity and ultimately sought godhood. His family's ducal heritage gave him access to Battle Qi manuals and a martial environment. 1

As Jie Ning, he became the youngest Saint Realm expert on the Bana Continent, married Arannis, and traveled toward the Dinar Empire to study magic. Learning that the world still had vacant Overgod positions drove him to accelerate his cultivation. 9
