History

Spirit Hall initially presented itself as a neutral force concerned with continental peace. When war broke out between Heaven Dou, Chang'an, and Xing Luo, it pressured Xing Luo against attacking Heaven Dou and permitted its envoys, Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo, to accompany Xing Luo's “peacekeeping” expedition to Chang'an. Its authority was sufficient to deter Xing Luo from openly defying it. 10

Its concealed plan to control Heaven Dou depended on Qian Renxue, who had replaced Crown Prince Xue Qinghe. Her capture by Chang'an and Snake Lance Douluo's death ruined years of Spirit Hall infiltration, causing Bibi Dong to fear that the plan for a bloodless takeover had collapsed. 11

Spirit Hall openly sent 10,000 Soul Masters and several Titled Douluo to support Heaven Dou against Chang'an under the banner of preserving peace. This intervention won public approval in Heaven Dou, though its forces were also attempting to protect and recover Qian Renxue. 32 34

After Qian Renxue's identity was exposed, Bibi Dong accepted that covert control of Heaven Dou had failed and resolved to pursue unification through force. Spirit Hall subsequently treated Chang'an's rise—especially the establishment of Jixia Academy—as a direct threat to its control over commoner Soul Masters and its educational foundation. 36 40

During the final war, Spirit Hall defended Jialing Pass with Bibi Dong, the Six Great Elders of Worship Hall, and its remaining Soul Master forces. Qian Daoliu's death at Xiang Yu's hands broke the defenders' morale and led to the fall of Jialing Pass and Spirit City. 193 213 218

Bibi Dong returned to complete her godhood ritual and emerged as the Rakshasa God for Spirit Hall's last stand. Athena shattered her godhood, reducing her to mortality; the remaining Spirit Hall troops were killed, and the organization was left in ruins. Only Bibi Dong and Hu Liena survived. 219 223

Political Strategy

Public Neutrality

Spirit Hall repeatedly justified military intervention as necessary to prevent the continent from being consumed by war. This image of neutrality enabled it to support Heaven Dou while retaining legitimacy among smaller nations and the wider public. 10 32 33

Control of Heaven Dou

Qian Renxue was Spirit Hall's key agent within Heaven Dou and the centerpiece of its long-term infiltration strategy. Her exposure and capture transformed the conflict with Chang'an into an open political rupture. 11 34 36

Competition for Soul Masters

Jixia Academy threatened Spirit Hall because it also recruited commoner Soul Masters and offered a path to rapidly form a Soul Master army. Bibi Dong responded by dispatching Hu Liena, Yan, and Xie Yue to infiltrate the academy, assess its methods, and gather intelligence. 40 42

Continental Unification

Following the failure of its Heaven Dou plan, Bibi Dong identified the two great empires, the three great sects, and Chang'an as obstacles to Spirit Hall's goal of unifying the continent by force. 36
