Discharge from Hospital!
After saying this, Dumbledore leisurely Cockroach Clusters one by one into his mouth, his eyes narrowed into slits, revealing an expression of enjoyment.
Loren, Hermione, and Ron stared at Harry, especially at the scar on his forehead.
Although Dumbledore said that the Protective Charm left by Harry's mother was invisible, they still looked at the scar.
Harry held his hands up to his chest, looked at his palms, then turned them over to look at the backs of his hands.
He realized that his mother had always been there for him, protecting him. A strange warmth welled up inside him.
After finishing a box of Cockroach Clusters, Dumbledore glanced longingly at the candy on the table, then quietly left without disturbing the young wizard's thoughts.
As the sun slowly set, Loren finished a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans before realizing that Dumbledore had slipped away.
The other three gradually snapped out of their reverie.
"Loren, I'm sorry. You were right, Quirrell is the dark wizard, and we didn't believe you." Hermione's voice was soft and gentle.
"Sorry."
"Sorry."
Harry and Ron quickly followed.
"Well said," Loren scoffed. "But I won't forgive you unless you each eat two Cockroach Clusters."
He took a new box of Cockroach Clusters from the mountain of candy, tore open the seal, and handed it to Hermione, who was closest to him.
"You!" Hermione huffed, turning her head away, not wanting to acknowledge the person.
Judging from his resolute attitude, Loren planned to skip over Hermione, who was a tough nut to crack, and first fool Harry and Ron, the two big fools.
He was about to pull his hand back from the candy box when he suddenly felt a resistance from above.
He looked up and saw Hermione had already taken out two Cockroach Clusters and stuffed them into her mouth, chewing them viciously.
Feeling Loren's gaze, Hermione gritted her teeth even more, "Are you satisfied now?"
"Hehe." Loren dared not be presumptuous anymore, afraid that Hermione would really pounce on him and bite him.
He rolled out of bed, walked over, and handed the candy box Cockroach Clusters between Harry and Ron, gesturing with his eyes for them to behave themselves.
Ron looked at Loren with a strange expression; he simply couldn't understand this perverse sense of humor.
When he was opening his Christmas presents, Loren tricked him by saying that the secret of magic was hidden in Cockroach Clusters. He foolishly ate several boxes before realizing he had been tricked by Loren.
"Why do you always want people to eat Cockroach Clusters?" Ron muttered, but having learned from his previous experience, he could easily accept the Cockroach Clusters. He took out a handful and stuffed them directly into his mouth.
Both of them accepted it, but Harry couldn't. He had only heard of this candy, but had never tasted it.
"No normal person could accept this!" Harry roared inwardly.
He stared at the cockroach with its red limbs wriggling in the box, his scalp tingling. He shook his head frantically, indicating that he couldn't accept it.
Seeing Harry's resistance, Ron suddenly became excited and shouted, "Let me do it!"
He jumped right onto Harry's bed, grabbed a handful of Cockroach Clusters, and was about to stuff them into Harry's mouth.
One didn't want to eat, while the other insisted he eat, and the two started fighting on the hospital bed.
Ron held Harry down, trying to shove the Cockroach Clusters into his mouth. Harry struggled and tried to kick Ron off the bed.
Fearing he would be caught in the crossfire, Loren quickly left the battlefield and returned to his own sickbed. He and Hermione, who was next to him, exchanged a glance, neither daring to utter a sound, silently watching the two fight.
In the end, Ron won by stuffing the Cockroach Clusters into Harry's mouth and covering it tightly.
Harry's eyes widened in terror as tiny limbs slithered across his oral mucosa, and cockroaches kept burrowing into his throat.
Harry's discomfort didn't subside until the chocolate melted, revealing the fruity sugar core inside.
Ron released Harry's hand and happily went back to his bed, beaming. "Loren, I understand you. It feels good to force someone to eat Cockroach Clusters."
That smile, even Loren found it creepy. Don't talk nonsense, I'm not like you.
Harry lay on his hospital bed, the sheets and blankets in disarray, his face blank and his eyes unfocused. He swallowed the sweet candy in his mouth, but his heart felt even more bitter.
He felt he was being forced.
After a while, Harry calmed down, got out of bed, and decided to teach Ron a lesson.
And so, the two of them stuffed Cockroach Clusters into each other's mouths, creating utter chaos.
When Madam Pomfrey came in and saw this scene, she was so angry that her hair stood up on her nurse's cap.
"No! Fighting! In! The Hospital Wing!" Madam Pomfrey's roar made Loren's ears ring.
She separated the two and gave them a severe scolding. But her anger did not subside. When feeding Loren his medicine, she roughly poured the entire bottle into his mouth, and Loren felt he almost choked to death.
As Madam Pomfrey slammed the door shut and left, the ward fell silent once more.
After playing around for a while, Hermione remembered to ask, "Loren, how did you end up next to us when we were under the Trapdoor?"
"Fawkes took me there," Loren replied.
Although the Phoenix was not seen, the fact that flames could be teleported within Hogwarts Castle is a feature that only Fawkes possesses.
Hermione was very puzzled by this answer. "If Dumbledore couldn't get back in time to deal with Voldemort, then Fawkes should have asked the professor for help. Why did he ask Loren?"
The question was raised, and others also realized the problem.
"Do you think Dumbledore intentionally made us do these things?" Ron said. "Giving you your father's Invisibility Cloak, and all of this."
Harry seemed thoughtful. "I think he probably wanted to give me a chance. He seemed to know more or less about everything and was aware of what we were planning to do. But he didn't stop us; he seemed to think that, if possible, I had the right to confront Voldemort."
Harry still had many questions: why Voldemort was so determined to kill him, and why the Centaur in the Forbidden Forest thought he deserved to be killed by Voldemort...
As Loren listened to their conversation, he realized that they were not the ones who were kept in the dark and completely unaware of the situation.
Being at the center of the vortex, they were able to clearly perceive the unusual nature of things and to detect Dumbledore's arrangements and plans.
Loren was wondering if his desire to avoid everything was the right thing to do.
Even without his involvement, the encounter and fight between Harry, Quirrell, and Quirrell was completely different from what he knew. Whether it was the troll or Quirrell, it seemed he was an indispensable part of the event.
Perhaps the story of the Golden Trio's growth and adventures that he knew has long since become another story of the Big Four, and he is one of the protagonists.
Loren popped Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans into his mouth one after another, his mind racing with thoughts.
Suddenly, the bag of snacks in his hand was taken away. He looked up blankly, watching Hermione take his snacks.
"You've eaten enough snacks today. We're still in the hospital; we should focus on recovering." The little Witch carefully resealed the packaging and placed it back on the table at the foot of the bed.
Looking at Loren 'Hermione little face, the jumbled thoughts in his mind melted away like bubbles. He then took out the Cockroach Clusters he hadn't finished eating and ate a little more.
Hermione saw that there were only two or three left in the bag, so she didn't confiscate them and let them be.
Loren: "Eat Cockroach Clusters?"
Hermione: "I won't eat it."
"Try it."
"Don't want!"
"Oh dear, this one seems to be real."
"Get away!"
Before we knew it, the sun had completely set, the sky was filled with night, and the stars and moon shone brightly.
the next day.
Madam Pomfrey woke them up early, examined them, and gave them a bottle of grass-scented Potions.
Harry and Ron breathed a sigh of relief as Madam Pomfrey left the ward; an angry Madam Pomfrey was terrifying.
Just as the group was complaining about when they would be discharged, Madam Pomfrey's voice came from afar, "Someone else has come to see you."
Before he could finish speaking, Hagrid squeezed through the door. His eyes were dark-rimmed, suggesting he hadn't slept well the night before; his beard and hair were disheveled and dirty.
"Hello, Hermione, Loren, Ron." He greeted them, then moved a large stool and sat down next to Harry's bed. His huge body curled up, making him appear somewhat humble.
"Hagrid, are you alright?" Harry was initially overjoyed, but seeing Hagrid's unwell appearance, he became somewhat worried.
Hagrid burst into tears, crying, "It's all my fault, I'm such an idiot!"
He covered his face with his large hands, and his voice came from within, "I was the one who told that Death Eater how to get through Fluffy. I almost lost my life for a Fire Dragon Egg."
Large tears streamed through his fingers and seeped into his beard.
Hagrid sobbed, "I'll never drink again. I should be kicked out and never be allowed to use magic again. I should be Muggle for the rest of my life."
"Hagrid..." The others felt distressed and offered words of comfort.
But Hagrid just kept crying and seemed unable to hear them.
"Hagrid!" Harry finally shouted, making sure Hagrid heard him.
Hagrid wiped his face haphazardly with his rough hands, snot and tears getting onto his beard, and looked at Harry with humble eyes. This giant was yearning for his forgiveness.
Harry handed him tissue after tissue, saying, "Hagrid, he's Voldemort— "
Seeing Hagrid visibly tremble upon hearing the name, Harry's voice rose even louder, "He's Voldemort! Even if you don't tell him, he'll always find out."
Hagrid straightened his back a little.
Harry's tone softened as he said, "I think you really like your Pink Umbrella, don't you?"
Hagrid's eyes widened in surprise.
Harry felt a mix of smugness and amusement. He had been suspicious ever since he heard that Hagrid's wand had been broken.
Hagrid's first meeting with his fat pig cousin resulted in the latter growing a pig's tail. When Hagrid patrolled the Forbidden Forest fully armed, he saw the Pink Umbrella hidden inside Hagrid's coat, confirming his guess.
When Hagrid was expelled from Hogwarts and his wand broke, someone must have secretly repaired it. As for who it was, Harry thinks he has a guess.
Seeing Hagrid's bewildered expression and the tears still on his face, Harry thought: What kind of harmful things could someone like that do? It's all Voldemort's fault.
"Have something to eat. We have all sorts of snacks here." Loren handed over a small pile, then quickly opened a box and started eating.
Hagrid rubbed his nose. "I also brought Harry a gift."
As he spoke, he took out a beautifully covered book and handed it to Harry.
Harry opened it curiously; the page was covered with pictures of wizards. A man and a woman, and on every page, the wizards were smiling and waving at him. They were his father and mother.
"I heard from Loren that you keep looking at your mother's photos, so I sent an owl to your parents' old classmates to ask them for the photos." Hagrid observed Harry's expression and asked expectantly, "Do you like them?"
Harry was speechless...
The cozy yet boring hospital ward life soon came to an end, and they happily said goodbye to Madam Pomfrey.
On their way back to the Gryffindor common room from the corridor, Harry and Ron walked ahead, jumping up and chasing each other every now and then to release the energy they had been holding back for the past few days.
Loren and Hermione were having a heated discussion about a problem.
Hermione believed that they should respect the Hogwarts staff and say goodbye when leaving, as this was basic courtesy.
In Loren's view, Madam Pomfrey was a doctor, and it wouldn't be appropriate for them to say goodbye; they shouldn't have said goodbye.
The end result was that Loren clutched his arm and rubbed his muscles to relieve the pain.
In the morning, the group said the command in front of the portrait of the Fat Lady and entered the Gryffindor common room. As soon as they climbed out of the cave, they saw Seamus Finnigan staring intently at them from the bench in the middle of the common room.
There were many other young wizards in the lounge, all watching them. In an instant, Seamus raised his hands and cheered, "The Champion are back!"
"Champion!"
Then Seamus led a group of young wizards up and tried to surround them.
"Quiet!"
Percy, who seemed to appear out of nowhere, blocked the way before the crowd could gather, looking sternly at Seamus and the group of young wizards. "I have important business to discuss with them..."
Percy, using his position as Prefect, quickly dismissed the enthusiastic group of students and led Loren and his friends to a corner.
"This is the Hogwarts Student Holiday Conduct Code. You need to sign it and then give it to me." Percy handed them four sheets of parchment.
"Code of conduct?"
The four looked at the parchment with suspicion.
Like a "Notice to Parents" before a holiday in the Muggle world, this document details what young wizards should and should not do during the holidays.
But the most important part is the last paragraph:
"Underage wizards are not allowed to use magic outside of school. If such behavior occurs, the Ministry of Magic will issue a warning, and those who violate the rules repeatedly may be expelled from school."
(The Act on Reasonable Restraint of Underage Wizards, 1875, Section 3)
(Article 13 of the International Confederation of Wizards Secrecy Act)
Ministry of Magic
"Office for the Prohibition of Misuse of Magic"
Hermione's nose immediately turned red, and she looked aggrieved. She planned to practice next year's magic early during the holidays so she could use magic to help her mother with housework and let them experience the convenience of magic.
But now all those plans have fallen through.
Harry's expression was also grim. He had been wanting to teach the Dursley a lesson with magic, but now that was no longer an option.
But he quickly realized that he would be spending his vacation with Sirius Black and wouldn't see the Dursley at all, and then he became happy again.
