Background

An Yixing attended Huadun before transferring to Huabang Military Academy. At Huadun, he could not break through his Star Weave in his first year. During his second year, he found a secret technique in the library, vanished for a time, and returned as a high-level Star Weaver before transferring schools. His unprecedented success turned him into Huadun’s legendary “miracle” alumnus. 13 69

At Huabang, he dual-majored in Mech Master and Mech Infantry. By age twenty-three, he had graduated, joined the Alliance Army, and was publicly recognized as its youngest Rear Admiral. 13 He later established himself through battlefield achievements, commanding a hand-picked squad of roughly one hundred exceptionally capable soldiers loyal to him personally. A87 Star Block became both his base and the center of his independent military influence. 191

Several years after entering the army, An Yixing was declared missing in action. After reappearing, he became stronger and remained undefeated in later campaigns. 191

Star Cave Incident

Six years before Zhou Yi recovered her memories of the event, she was displaced into An Yixing’s past and found him dying on a battlefield. His teammates had been killed, his legs were badly damaged, and his right knee had been completely shattered. Zhou Yi brought him to her cave, treated his wounds, and kept him alive through the freezing night. 289 290 291

Zhou Yi later recovered his damaged Mech, repaired and upgraded it with salvaged parts, and supplied Bone Rock for its arm. A Space Ring left by An Yixing’s future self contained Growth Factor Reagent, allowing his injuries to heal completely. 291 292 293 Before they parted, An Yixing promised that he would remember her, even though she would not remember their shared time upon returning to her era. 294
