Background

The Sea King was once compelled by the will of Mute Sea Country, then chose to betray it. Following Mute Sea Country’s destruction, he founded a new force around the False Void Sea Region and rapidly became its overlord. He retains memories of Mute Sea Country and fears the possible return of Mu Zhiguang, whom he believes should have died fighting the Death Clan in the Abyss of the Deep Sea. 133

His original False Void Sea Region power was repeatedly opposed by the Player Race. After losing the Sea King Army, he united seven countries and founded a new state, later associated with the Mu Te Empire and Mute Sea Country. 230 233

Appearance

The Sea King is a powerfully built man approximately two meters tall. Despite standing before much larger opponents, he projects an oppressive, beast-like presence. 33

  • Three blue markings run across each cheek, resembling fish gills. 33
  • His chest is covered in light-blue hair. 33
  • He is described as sturdy and fierce in bearing. 33
  • During recovery from a severe throat injury, he wore a soft blue robe and appeared pale. 620

Personality

The Sea King is proud, domineering, and deeply ambitious. He initially dismisses the authority of Bei Qi after its king’s disappearance and treats rivals such as Shana with open contempt. 32 33

He is also resilient and adaptive. Setbacks that destroy or weaken his forces repeatedly drive him to rebuild, seek stronger political standing, and pursue larger ambitions—eventually aiming to surpass and replace the Yellow Springs Merchant Guild as a sea-region hegemon. 230 514 581

His prolonged contact with the Player Race changes his conduct and even his speech. He learns their taunting style, uses phrases such as “holy crap,” and becomes increasingly aware that their chaotic aid often benefits him despite their history as enemies. 514 583 696

Abilities & Skills

Combat Power

The Sea King possesses Ghost Emperor-level combat power and is capable of overwhelming conventional sea forces. 514

  • Shana bleeds after a single punch from him. 33
  • He can fight in midair and command powerful spiritual attacks. 314
  • In battle with Hei Sha, he launches a moon wheel capable of cutting through a warship’s protective shield and splitting the vessel apart. 584
  • He can create massive waves to carry sea merchants away from danger. 586

Death Lord State

During the Kan Kun Island battle, he enters a state dominated by the desire to slaughter. 313 314

  • The Death Light Wheel resumes attacking when he regains part of his power. 313
  • His mind becomes unable to think rationally until he later regains control. 313 314
  • Even large-scale Player attacks inflict limited meaningful damage while he is airborne. 314

Strategic Planning

The Sea King repeatedly turns conflicts between larger forces into opportunities for expansion. 514 581

  • He warned the Player Race of Smoke Dragon’s impending attack, expecting the resulting war to weaken the Smoke Dragon Merchant Guild. 505 514
  • He publicized Smoke Dragon’s critical injury, then applied to replace the weakened guild as a War Merchant Guild. 514
  • He planned to use Icefire Stones to improve shipbuilding, weapon forging, equipment enhancement, alchemy, and personal cultivation. 581
  • He manipulated sea-domain leaders into contributing Spirit Materials for the Heaven and Earth Sealing Kill Array against the Player Race. 719

Story Role / Major Arcs

False Void Sea Region and Mute Sea Country

The Sea King confronts Shana as a powerful sea-region ruler, then later investigates Mute Sea Country-related mysteries before attacking Liuli Coast to “collect debts.” 32 133

At Liuli Coast, he attempts to consume the apparently powerless Tong Gua to reach the Ghost Emperor Realm. Tong Gua’s concealed recovery leaves the Sea King decisively overpowered. 134

Rebuilding and Founding a New Country

After losing his original army, the Sea King consolidates seven countries and establishes a new state. The Player Race attends his founding ceremony as self-proclaimed “old friends,” confusing him by defending his interests against Lang Tie despite their prior enmity. 230 233 234

Kan Kun Island Ambush

Tian Kun betrays the Sea King, luring him into a Langya Island Allied Forces trap on Kan Kun Island. His subordinates and the Player Race mobilize to rescue him; the Demon Imprisoning Array is eventually shattered, but his Death Lord state causes him to attack the Players before he regains control and escapes through their staged “mass death” performance. 311 313 314

War Merchant Guild Ascension

The Sea King exploits the Player Race’s conflict with Smoke Dragon, exposes the latter’s weakened state, and passes the Yellow Springs Merchant Guild’s review. He becomes a War Merchant Guild president after demonstrating Ghost Emperor-level strength and presenting the Stone Statue Legion as a potential force. 514 516

Icefire Stone Heist

Seeking Icefire Stones to accelerate his development, the Sea King recruits the Player Race to help stage a convoy robbery. When Hei Sha’s Shark Bite Merchant Guild betrays the escort, the Players side with the Sea King; afterward, they cooperate in a false battle that lets him “rescue” the merchants and preserve his protector image. 581 583 584 586

Shadow King and Yellow Springs Conflict

The Sea King inherits the Shadow King’s Legacy, gains nominal authority over the Shadow Legion, and begins openly preparing for confrontation with the Yellow Springs Merchant Guild. He kills War Merchant Guild executive Bloodstained amid a major battle, believing the chaos will conceal his involvement. 639 688

Exile and Forced Reform

After being expelled from the Yellow Springs Merchant Guild, the Sea King joins the Player Race. While fleeing the guild, he accepts Doctor Sea into his organization and performs sustained relief work across the Starry Sky Sea Domain to escape Doctor Sea’s karmic sanctions. 726 739 740

His forces transform from feared plunderers into an interventionist power that assists weaker groups, distributes resources, and forces hostile leaders into negotiations. 741
