Reading his notes, Li Yao recognizes that the resulting “perfect clone” effectively matches Tobirama’s Shadow Clone Technique. Unlike the weightless phantoms produced by the basic Clone Technique, it is a solid duplicate capable of independent action 9 10.

Li Yao learns the technique through the research notes and its original hand seals. His first documented combat deployment is a precaution against an ambush outside the laboratory: the clone exits first while the original remains behind sealing formulas that conceal his presence 51 71.
