Background / History
Misty Cloud Sect was built on Misty Cloud Mountain near the Jia Ma Imperial Capital. As the Jia Ma Empire’s strongest sect, it was a coveted destination for young cultivators throughout the empire and had accumulated many enemies through its former dominance. 4 26
Yun Shan had raised Yun Yun since childhood and regarded her as his own daughter. After learning that she had been killed by the Snake-People Tribe, he sought revenge and arranged for the sect to ally with the Jia Ma Royal Family, despite their previous hostility. 19
Before commencing the campaign, Yun Shan entered seclusion with a Sect Breakthrough Pill and advanced from Nine-Star Dou Emperor to Dou Zong. His breakthrough greatly strengthened the alliance while also making the royal family wary of the sect's future influence. 22 23
War Against the Snake-People Tribe
Yun Shan and Yao Ye led the sect’s and royal family’s combined army into the Tagor Desert. The Misty Cloud Sect mobilized its elders and disciples, while Yun Shan led the alliance’s experts in an aerial assault on the Snake-People Tribe’s city walls. 23 24
The campaign collapsed when Jiang Xing killed Yun Shan. With their strongest expert dead, the sect’s elders either fell during the battle or fled from the battlefield, leaving the Alliance Army unable to resist the Snake-People Tribe’s counterattack. 25
Fall and Occupation
Following the alliance’s defeat, the sect was left deserted. Its disciples dispersed after the loss of its experts, knowing that the sect's former enemies would seek revenge now that its power had collapsed. 26
The Snake-People Tribe chose Misty Cloud Sect as its new homeland rather than attempting to rule the Jia Ma Empire. Jiang Xing, the Great Elder, and several Snake-People Dou Wangs arrived at the abandoned mountain, and the entire tribe completed its relocation there within three days. 25 26
By the time Jiang Xing later returned, the sect’s roads and halls were inhabited by snake-people, who regarded him as their Queen Consort for helping defeat the alliance and securing Misty Cloud Mountain for them. 29
Notable Locations
