As killing intent surged, countless Imaginary Gates opened around Ye Li, with Void Lances faintly visible within, poised to strike.
Faced with the Void Lances flying toward him, Ye Li advanced instead of retreating.

He roared as he charged into the sky full of energy lances. Beneath his shattered breastplate, the pounding of his heart was deafening.
Godfall Sword carved a blazing ring of fire through the air, annihilating every Void Lance in the sky!

Dragged by the immense movement, the wound on his chest split open even wider.
Purple, symbolizing Honkai corruption, crawled over his entire body.
Your love was what I cherished most.
The moment blood flowed from his chest, it was evaporated by the heat radiating from his burning soul.
So stay alive, bravely.
"You damned insect!"
The Herrscher of the Void clenched her teeth and furiously condensed Honkai Energy into a spiraling spear, hurling it at Ye Li in an attempt to pierce this hateful blasphemer.
I wished I could wake from every dream.
Yet before the condensed black spear could fall, Ye Li had already ridden the burning sword wind and closed to within three steps of her.
At such close range, the Herrscher of the Void could even see the eyes beneath his shattered mask.
And within them burned karmic fire so fierce that even gods would keep their distance!
A long night would soon come. I was willing to become the final light.
With a flash of white light, Ye Li's memories unfolded before everyone's eyes.
Theresa, Bronya, Raiden Mei, and Fu Hua flashed past one by one...
Finally, the image froze on Kiana's sweet smile as she said with a grin:
"Ye Li, you'd better make sure you watch this young lady become the strongest Valkyrie~"
The scene shifted again, returning to Ye Li's battered yet still unwavering face.
"Kiana, when you wake up, you'll see that everything has changed.

Ye Li leaped high into the air. A pair of wings condensed from blazing flames emerged behind him, and Godfall Sword in his hand erupted with dazzling light once more.
The Herrscher of the Void staggered back, lowering her head to look at her trembling hands. The energy she had once taken such pride in was now dissipating like fireflies.
"Kiana, raise your head and keep moving forward!
Turn this imperfect story into the way you want it to be!"

A pillar of fire shot into the heavens, burning away the Herrscher of the Void's confidence in victory as well.
She couldn't win. There was no way she could win!
Facing the greatsword so close at hand, she even shut her eyes in fear and waited for death to come.

The dazzling flames lit up the dim Imaginary Space as bright as day. Like lightning cast down by a god, they instantly tore apart the curtain of silence.
"Even if dark clouds blot out the sun, I will set the sky ablaze and lead you home!
Live on, Kiana..."

When the light faded, the death the Herrscher of the Void had awaited never came.
She slowly opened her eyes and saw a sight she would never forget for the rest of her life.
To redeem the person before him, the godslayer gave up his chance to slay a god.
Blood dripped from his wound onto the scorching blade. From the rising blood mist came his hoarse voice:
"Kiana, forgive me for breaking my promise, but this is the last time..."
A finger touched her forehead. Her stunned emotions flashed by, replaced by endless rage filling her chest.
The Herrscher of the Void truly had not expected that she, an apostle of the gods, would be frightened by someone so fierce on the outside yet weak within.
She gathered the last of the Honkai Energy in her body and blasted away the man whose pupils were about to lose focus.
Yet before she could deal him a fatal blow, the cool sensation on her neck caused her unbearable pain.
The scene shifted again. At some point, a blue serum had been injected into the Herrscher of the Void's body.
As the serum began to merge with her blood, the Herrscher of the Void let out a pained cry.
"Urgh! Aaaah!"
Something resembling an inverted Kabbalah Tree of Life emerged from Kiana's body, and the Imaginary Space began to collapse.
As the space crumbled, Ye Li, lying on the deck with his fate unknown, also began to slide away bit by bit...
Slowly falling into the bottomless abyss.
