Day and night reversed, time flowed on, and seven days passed in the blink of an eye.
Over those seven days, Chaya flew across every continent on the planet. Almost every powerful lifeform he discovered met a destructive end. If he ever went to Other World, he would definitely be sent to Hell. Well, that did not align with his original intentions.
It was still that dried-up riverbed, where the seven massive craters created by the spacecraft's impact remained. Chaya sat cross-legged atop the spacecraft's white hull, but even after waiting for a long time, none of the team members had gathered.
Under the blazing sun, the air temperature had reached fifty degrees. After sending each team member a signal through the communicator, he retreated alone into the spacecraft to rest, where the temperature was always constant.
About ten minutes later, all six team members returned to the riverbed.
As soon as they returned, they greeted Chaya before chattering away. It seemed they had discovered how crudely the natives used energy. Belit and Reida in particular were glowing with excitement, gesturing animatedly as they spoke. Their moods were clearly excellent.
When they had first received this intermediate mission, those two had been the most nervous. But after several days of battle, they had clearly regained their confidence.
"Reida, let me tell you, this time I killed plenty of primitive natives with power levels as high as 800 all by myself. There had to be twenty or thirty of them! Heh heh, Lord Belit really cannot be underestimated." The burly Belit clenched his fists and waved them about, delighted with his achievements.
The relatively lean Reida curled his lip and said disdainfully, "Tch, and that tiny achievement satisfies you? You really are useless, Belit... If Atasia had not protected you back then, you would have been scared shitless!"
"W-who says? I personally killed a native with a power level of 850! Eight hundred and fifty! If you don't believe me, ask Atasia. Isn't that right?" Belit retorted, his face flushing red, then turned to Atasia with a flattering expression.
Atasia turned her face away without even looking at him.
"Hahaha, see? You got exposed!" Reida burst out laughing, as though gaining the upper hand over Belit was some tremendous accomplishment.
Belit spat indignantly and said, "Don't talk about me. Aren't you relying on Jelin too? What's so great about that? In a few years, I'll knock you flat in no time."
"Hmph, that's different. Jelin and I have evenly matched power levels. The coordination between us is what real cooperation looks like. You, on the other hand, are just dead weight," Reida said proudly.
At this point, Shakuda could no longer stand it. They were familiar faces from the same training class, and yet they were making him lose face before the new captain. He snorted coldly and said in an icy voice, "Do you think this is something to be proud of? Have you no ambition at all? Saiyans like you are simply a disgrace."
This silenced both Belit and Reida. Shakuda's authority had been built up since their days in the training camp. The moment he spoke, they did not even dare breathe too loudly.
A glimmer moved through Atasia's eyes as she looked at Chaya with her beautiful gaze. "Captain, what do we do next? Should we strike while the iron is hot and wipe out all the primitive tribes here?"
After pondering for a moment, Chaya said, "Mm. Clearly, the primitive natives of Dotalia Planet have not mastered the use of energy. That is one of our greatest advantages. With that advantage, even Belit can kill an opponent with a higher power level alone. We need to make good use of it."
"But why did the mission management office classify this as an intermediate mission? I don't think it meets the standard at all."
Jelin was a relatively quiet female Saiyan, but her mind was very sharp. She usually did not speak much, yet she often grasped the crux of the matter.
"Heh, that's easy to understand. The aliens who assess a planet's level do not personally land on its surface. They only use Scouters to scan from outer space, so naturally they don't know the specific conditions on the planet. That's why they set the mission level too high. We got lucky this time."
Atasia gave a mischievous smile, and in that moment, the girl's sweet and delicate side was fully revealed. But anyone who truly mistook her for an ordinary fragile girl would never forget the Saiyans' frenzied and violent side for the rest of their life.
"Chaya, what do we do next?" Selyne stared at him and asked.
Chaya propped his chin on his hand and said, "For now, we hold an absolute advantage. Over the past few days, we have already destroyed most of the isolated natives and small primitive tribes. What remains are the larger tribes, which will be much more difficult to deal with."
"Here's the plan. Selyne and I will form one group. Shakuda, you five will form another. I want you to destroy every primitive tribe on Dotalia Planet within five days!"
Chaya issued his orders in an icy voice.
"Yes!"
All the Saiyans accepted the order with solemn expressions. Then, based on the data displayed by their Scouters, they set off toward areas where large numbers of primitive tribes had gathered.
After Shakuda's group of five departed, Chaya and Selyne flew together for a while before separating. They had previously formed a pair only to conceal their strength, but given their abilities, there was truly no need for them to act together.
"Selyne, fly north. There are more than three hundred Ki signatures gathered there. Oh, and if you need to use energy above a power level of 1,000, it would be best to turn off your Scouter first," Chaya reminded her before they left.
"Got it!" Selyne replied softly, then accelerated northward without looking back.
Watching the direction in which she vanished, Chaya smiled. Then he changed course as well and headed toward his own target.
The extermination mission on Dotalia Planet sounded extremely difficult, but once it was truly carried out, both Chaya and Shakuda made surprising discoveries.
This mission was not difficult at all. Chaya remained calm, a faint curve lifting the corners of his mouth. He could save a great deal of time now and would not have to waste his precious days on this barren planet.
Saiyan teams carried out missions in this manner: for their first team mission, the mission management office coordinated everything, selecting the team members and choosing a suitable captain. But for subsequent missions, the captain had a certain degree of autonomy in choosing assignments.
In other words, after completing the Dotalia Planet mission, Chaya, as captain of the Saiyan team, could choose missions suited to his own needs.
This was not particularly useful for ordinary Saiyan teams. At most, it allowed them to adjust a mission's intensity and duration. After all, what mission did not involve fighting? Saiyans only needed to enjoy the thrill of battle to their hearts' content. But Chaya was different. He had his own ambitions and hoped to become strong as soon as possible.
And fortunately, he had several methods of growing stronger in his mind.
