Child of Nature / Britain-blessed Witch 769 Born with Uther’s royal blood and Britain’s mysteries; described as a rare Witch whose nature is comparable to Vortigern’s, but aligned with the island’s life and Fae blessings.
Specialist in the Four Grand Sorceries 777 Studies the native Fae curses and specializes in Mirror, Tower, Garden, and Coffin sorceries. Mirror supports detection, defense, reflection, and short-range transfer.
Near-Principle composite sorcery 818 Combines all four Grand Sorceries to create twelve blue-black ether spears that freeze, compress, and pin Vortigern; on British soil, the spell approaches the level of Principle. Its incomplete form leaves her near collapse.
Bearer of Britain’s gathered mysteries 819 Vortigern destroys the Dragon Jewel Oop and transfers its remaining power to Morgan, declaring that Britain’s mysteries will henceforth gather upon her and crowning her queen.

Background

Morgan is King Uther’s biological daughter and Artoria’s half-sister. Rather than being shaped into a “King of Men,” she was Uther’s unexpected successor: a Witch blessed by Britain’s mysteries, life, and the Fae. Her exceptional bloodline and affinity with nature gave her a claim and stature closer to Britain’s older royal authority. 769

Uther and Merlin ultimately chose Artoria’s human-centered path and abandoned Morgan. After Uther’s death, Morgan was used as a lure against enemies while the southern lords withheld support; she survived pursuit, betrayal, and near-death experiences while attempting to rally her father’s former vassals. By the time she reached Orkney and recovered a portion of her power, another king had claimed the throne and swiftly ended the rebellion. 806

Her abandonment left Morgan obsessed with the throne and resentful toward Artoria, yet it did not erase her attachment to Britain. Beneath her guarded, intimidating reputation, she remains deeply invested in protecting the land, its people, and the endangered remnants of nature. 819 837

Appearance

Morgan is a silver-haired mage with sapphire-blue eyes. She commonly conceals part of her face beneath a veil, reinforcing her distant and witch-like presence. 769 772

  • Smooth, pale complexion and a delicate chin visible beneath her veil. 772
  • Silver-white hair. 769
  • Sapphire-blue eyes. 772
  • Carries a staff when casting sorcery. 777 817
  • Later uses a blue-black umbrella capable of deploying an Aether barrier. 1256

Personality

Morgan is reserved, proud, and bluntly authoritative. She dislikes being treated as weak or underestimated, speaks with confidence about her magical knowledge, and gives orders without inviting debate. 776 777

Her cold demeanor partly serves as self-protection. Years of rejection by Britain’s nobility and suspicion from the Round Table leave her lonely and wary of others’ motives; she expects her good intentions to be interpreted as a witch’s scheme. 837 862

Despite this, Morgan is compassionate toward vulnerable children and non-human beings. She adopts Barghest rather than abandoning her, protects Bavangshi and other Fae children, and repeatedly chooses Britain’s survival over vengeance or personal happiness. 772 819 848 894

She is also capable of warmth, curiosity, and occasional insecurity. When discussing subjects she understands, she becomes unusually enthusiastic, and she values Samael’s reliability and judgment. 772 799 801

Abilities & Skills

Witchcraft and Fae Sorcery

Morgan possesses rare Witch talent backed by Britain’s mysteries, Druidic inheritance, and an affinity with life and the Fae. Her sorcery is significantly stronger while she remains connected to Britain’s natural mystery. 769 818 848

  • Has mastered the foundations of curses used by the six major Fae Clans. 777
  • Uses Mirror sorcery for detection, defense, reflection, and short-distance transportation. 777
  • Uses water mirrors for remote observation and to retrieve allies from danger. 774 816
  • Creates mana-woven spears and conducts large-scale offensive rituals. 816 818
  • Can deploy barriers to block surveillance and prevent intrusions. 861 1256
  • Her power may weaken if Britain’s natural mystery is eroded by humanity’s faith and expansion. 848

Composite Grand Sorcery

Morgan’s signature combat spell combines Mirror, Tower, Garden, and Coffin into a single large-scale attack. 818

  • Creates twelve blue-black ether spears that descend like nails sealing a coffin. 818
  • Freezes and restricts the target while compressing surrounding space inward. 818
  • Pinned Vortigern’s demonic dragon form to the ground. 818
  • Is ineffective against sufficiently high innate Magic Resistance; Vortigern broke free and rapidly healed. 818
  • Overuse leaves Morgan exhausted and close to collapse. 818

Magical Research and Artificial Life

Morgan is skilled in rune script, Ogham script, Fae-derived magecraft, and the creation of artificial life. 828

  • Blessed the births of Gawain, Agravain, Gareth, and Gaharis through special means, then raised and educated them. 828
  • Created Mordred by combining her own blood factors with Artoria’s, seeking a bloodline stronger than either parent’s. 845 847
  • Developed a potion intended to weaken divinity; its effectiveness against a true deity remained uncertain. 861 862
  • Uses magical experimentation extensively, to the point that her workshop activities repeatedly damage her courtyard. 835

Disaster Knowledge and Investigation

Morgan possesses extensive knowledge of Britain’s supernatural threats and ancient mysteries. 774

  • Identified the Naraku Insects as a destructive force linked to Britain’s balance of creation and destruction. 774
  • Suspected Vortigern’s role in the Insect Calamity, Dragon Calamity, and Wild Hunt crisis. 774
  • Investigated the mutated earth-qi chamber and its connection to Bavangshi and the Insect Calamity. 794
  • Helped suppress the Insect and Beast Calamities in southern Britain. 817

Illusion and Disguise

Morgan can use illusion magic and spatial magecraft for infiltration and deception. 845 867

  • Returned to Orkney through spatial teleportation magic. 845
  • Successfully impersonated Artoria within the royal palace and maintained an illusion over the royal chambers. 867

Environmental Magecraft

Morgan can directly aid Britain through large-scale magical intervention. 891

  • Brought temporary rain to drought-stricken Oxfordshire. 891
  • The rainfall was limited and visibly weakened the beam of light used in the process. 891
  • The exertion contributed to her month-long unconsciousness. 892

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Staff — Primary focus for spellcasting and ritual magic. 777 817
  • Blue-black umbrella — Used to spread an Aether barrier across the courtyard. 1256
  • Divinity-suppressing potion — A purplish-red experimental potion designed to weaken divine authority. 861 862
  • Caliburn — Entrusted to Samael alongside Kindling and her letters concerning Britain’s future. 894

Relationships

  • Samael — Her companion, retainer, guardian knight, and eventual lover. Their partnership begins during the British calamities, where his swordsmanship complements her sorcery; he later becomes one of the few people to understand and openly trust her. 770 799 862 894
  • Artoria — Morgan’s half-sister and the King of Knights. Their relationship is defined by inheritance, resentment, conflicting visions for Britain, and intermittent reconciliation. 769 840 881
  • Vortigern — Morgan’s uncle and a fellow being tied to Britain’s mysteries. He attempts to recruit her against Uther and Artoria, then transfers the Dragon Jewel’s power to her after his defeat. 817 819

  • Bavangshi — Adopted daughter and Fae child whom Morgan protects. Bavangshi admires Morgan’s strength and seeks her approval. 794 800
  • Melusina — A child born from remnants of the Dragon Jewel; Morgan names her after feeling an immediate familiarity with her. 819
  • Mordred — Artificial daughter created from Morgan and Artoria’s blood factors. Morgan originally intended her as a counterweight to the Lion King and a protector for the Fae, but Mordred’s unstable dual bloodline causes rapid aging. 845 847 848
  • Gawain, Gaharis, Gareth, and Agravain — Foster sons and former students. Morgan blessed their births and trained them, but all later aligned with Artoria’s Round Table. 828
  • Melly — A white-haired succubus companion and frequent irritant. Morgan openly criticizes Melly’s illusion-focused magic, though they cooperate in major crises. 777 818
  • Sir Ector — A knight who respects Morgan’s ability to respond to the British calamities, though his loyalty remains with Artoria. 776 827

Story Role / Major Arcs

British Calamities

Morgan joins Samael during the crisis caused by demon hounds, Naraku Insects, the Wild Hunt, and draconic threats. She supplies magical protection and ranged support while he fights at close range, making them an effective battlefield pair. 770

During this period, she adopts Barghest, investigates the calamities’ source, and identifies Vortigern as the likely instigator behind several disasters. 772 774

Battle with Vortigern

Morgan follows the disasters to the remains of Albion’s dragon, where Vortigern tries to turn her against humanity and Artoria. She rejects his appeal, insisting that she will not betray Britain or harm its people. 817 819

Her composite sorcery restrains Vortigern’s dragon form long enough for Melly and Artoria to intervene. After Vortigern’s defeat, he passes the Dragon Jewel Oop’s power to Morgan, effectively crowning her queen and gathering Britain’s mysteries upon her. 818 819

Fae Protector and Political Outsider

Morgan becomes increasingly concerned that Artoria’s human-centered rule could endanger the Fae, dragons, magical beasts, and Britain’s remaining mysteries. Mordred’s creation and the gathering of Barghest, Bavangshi, Merlutsyn, and other allies form the foundation of a force capable of protecting those beings. 800 848

At the Round Table Conference, Morgan proposes abolishing the right of the first night, advocating for commoners despite the nobility’s hostility toward her. 835

Rule of Camelot

As Britain’s ruler, Morgan implements harsh and accelerated reforms, including detaining lords to compel relief efforts and requiring magical-resource taxes from knightly landholders. Her policies bring temporary prosperity while intensifying resentment among nobles and other groups affected by rapid change. 883 885 886

She continues to protect civilians directly, including using large-scale magecraft to bring rain to drought-stricken Oxfordshire despite the severe strain it places on her. 891 892

Conflict with Samael

Samael asks Morgan to leave Camelot with him, believing Britain’s destined collapse cannot be prevented. Morgan refuses, choosing to remain and protect the country even if it means opposing him. 881

She later entrusts Samael with Caliburn, Kindling, and letters expressing her love while reaffirming that her duty to Britain comes first. 894
