Jiumozhi is a short lama whose exceptionally large earlobes hang to his shoulders. He carries himself with an imposing, dragon-like stride despite his comparatively small stature. 89

Tubo Delegation and Heavenly Prison

Jiumozhi arrives in Great Shang as Tubo's National Preceptor, seeking to establish his reputation in the Central Plains. He travels with Wang Yuyan and is already known for his Flame Blade, eidetic memory, and alleged connection to Xuan Bei's death. 89

Su Changqing soon captures him. Jiumozhi is held in the Heavenly Prison by eight thousand-year cold-iron chains, where he continues provoking Duan Yu and his companions despite being unable to move. 101 104 115

After being badly injured while eavesdropping on Su Changqing, Jiumozhi survives because Su intervenes. The experience shifts his course: he agrees to accompany Su to Ziwei Mountain rather than immediately returning to Tubo. 132 133 135

Ziwei Mountain and Rise of “West Jiumozhi”

At Ziwei Mountain, Su Changqing shares a small portion of the Thousand-Year Stone Dripping with Jiumozhi. Refining the drops raises him to the fifth layer of the Heavenly Gang realm. 139

Emboldened by the advancement, Jiumozhi envisions a four-direction martial hierarchy: Changqing of the East, Jiumozhi of the West, Qiao Feng of the North, and Murong Fu of the South. 139

Wudang and Juxian Manor

During the Wudang conflict, Jiumozhi defeats Kongxing by reproducing the Thirty-Six Forms of Dragon Claw Hand with the Minor Formless Skill. 144

While preparing to ascend, Jiumozhi is nearly manipulated by a black-robed monk who intends to transport him in a Human Seed Bag. Su Changqing intervenes, takes the bag, and escapes with Jiumozhi through the ascent storm into the Nine Heavens. 230 236 238

Afterward, Jiumozhi and Ye Chen are pursued by the Black Snake Seventh Young Master, who covets Jiumozhi's earlobes. Jiang Xingxing saves them by killing the pursuer in a single strike. 272 273

Buddha Realm

After eight years of being forced to live as a beggar monk, Jiumozhi accepts the Weeping Buddha as his master and enters the Buddha Realm. 315 316

Centuries later, he remains homesick for the Nine Realms and wishes to participate in the All-Realms Genius Battle. 521 His reunion with Su Changqing changes his standing: Su punishes the Buddhas who mistreated him, assigns powerful followers to him, and guides him toward the next stage of his Path of Suffering. 538 539 575
