Lost its magic?

Harry was startled.

"How could this happen?" His voice trembled slightly.

Veratia spoke lightly, as if she didn't consider losing her magic a big deal at all.

"It's just losing magic. To Time Travel, you always have to pay a price—besides, it's not like I haven't been through this before."

At this point, Veratia suddenly reached out and pinched Harry's face with her right hand, saying threateningly, "Or are you going to despise me because of this? Despise me for being a Squib?"

"Ugh... how could that be..." Harry stammered, his words slightly muffled by the pinch. "I'm just worried about your health. What if it has any negative effects?"

"Really?" Veratia's expression relaxed.

"Of course, I think we should go to France," Harry mumbled. "To Mr. LeMay's Alchemy Room. I think he'll give us the answer."

Fiona, perched on Veratia's shoulder, chirped twice.

"Look, Fiona's unhappy!" Harry said, pointing at Fiona.

Then he added, "I think it's because you're physically weak. Maybe your magic will return tomorrow?"

Veratia released Harry's hand and said somewhat helplessly, "Alright, I'll do as you say... Take me to the Leaky Cauldron, and let Fiona assist you."

"Fiona." Harry reached out and took the Phoenix onto his shoulder, then reached out and grabbed Veratia's wrist.

For a moment, Veratia was stunned.

Before she could speak, they were spun around in front of each other, and the next moment, they appeared at the entrance of the Leaky Cauldron.

As soon as they landed, Harry noticed that Veratia was unsteady on her feet and seemed to be struggling to stay upright.

"What's wrong, Veratia?" Harry rushed forward and took Veratia's arm.

Veratia leaned against the wall with one hand and said with a faint smile, "It's nothing... I'm a little weak, and I'm not used to Apparition by you like this all of a sudden."

"I'm sorry, Veratia."

Harry exclaimed in realization that Veratia had not only lost her magic but was also extremely weak.

"It's okay, let me rest for a bit," Veratia said softly, but showed no intention of letting go of her hands that were bracing against the wall.

Then a voice cleared its throat at the door.

"Oh, Draco," Harry waved. "Hello."

"Harry".

Draco nodded very reservedly, then looked at the older sister Harry was supporting.

His intuition told him that he disliked the woman in front of him.

He seemed to be... a formidable rival to Malfoy, he thought.

"And who is this?" he asked tentatively.

Harry said somewhat awkwardly, "Oh, this is my sister."

"Sister?" Draco's expression turned respectful, and he leaned back, frowning. "How come I didn't know you had a sister?"

"Now you know," Harry said. "Excuse me, could you move aside? My sister's feeling a little dizzy; I'll take her inside first."

"Okay." Draco nodded with a frown. He planned to go home and tell his father and great-great-grandfather about it.

Harry helped Veratia into the Leaky Cauldron and led her to the counter of the bar owner, Tom.

"Hello, Tom, I need two rooms," he said, then, seemingly realizing that wasn't quite right, added, "This is my sister."

"Oh, it's Mr. Potter."

Tom glanced at Veratia, then at Harry, clearly somewhat suspicious.

You're the only son left in the Potter Family, where did you get a sister? Besides, she has white hair.

However, since the customer had spoken, Tom knew it wasn't his place to say anything, so he arranged two adjacent rooms for Harry.

"This is it." He led the two upstairs. "Two adjacent rooms. If you need anything, you can come find me again."

"Okay, thank you, Tom." Harry nodded to him and helped Veratia into the room.

It should be said that although the rooms at the Leaky Cauldron looked run-down, the bedding on the beds was spotless.

"Let's rest here for the night, Veratia." Harry helped Veratia to sit up on the bed, then said, "We'll set off again tomorrow... What would you like to eat?"

"Room service is fine," Veratia said, then asked Harry, "Could you tell me about the changes over the past hundred years? Tell me in detail."

"Of course," Harry said with a smile. "I'll go and have Tom prepare dinner. You haven't eaten for over a hundred years, you must be very hungry."

After saying that, he walked out of the guest room, went downstairs, and ordered some of Veratia's favorite foods at Tom's bar.

Soon after, the waiters from the Leaky Cauldron brought them dinner.

"To be honest, Britain food is really not good." Harry swallowed his bread. "I remember when I was in Vienna in 1888, the court cuisine really amazed me for a long time. If only Britain cuisine could learn from the strengths of other countries."

Veratia ate quietly until she swallowed her food, then asked, "So, what's the best food in London?"

Harry choked up a bit; in fact, he hadn't eaten much in London.

But he felt that as an old Britain, he should salvage the dignity of his country and not lose face in front of the women of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

He racked his brains and thought for a long time before finally remembering the hamburger Hagrid had bought for him.

So he said, "McDonald's's in London is good."

"McDonald's's?" Veratia reached out and wiped the ketchup from Harry's mouth with a handkerchief. "What's that? A good restaurant?"

"Uh, it seems to be America fast food." Harry, who had straightened up, bent over again.

Good heavens, is there really nothing good to eat in Britain?

"But America fast food is also part of Britain," Veratia said with a smile, trying to save face for Harry. "If I remember correctly, they were colonies that separated from Britain."

"Things are different now. Now it's become someone else's missile launch site."

Harry reluctantly put down his knife and fork, remembering what Mr. Wellesley had said earlier.

"Missile launch site?" Veratia was stunned. "What's a missile?"

"Missiles, well, they're a Muggle weapon," Harry began explaining to Veratia. "I saw it on TV too. They said it could hit all the way from London to Moscow, and one missile could destroy a city..."

"Is that amazing?" Veratia's eyes widened. "Just a hundred years ago, Muggle were so weak... More than a hundred years have passed, and they've actually developed to this extent?"

"Yes, Muggle have amazing technology." Harry introduced Veratia as if he knew her inside and out, "In fact, in some ways, life is much more convenient for Muggle than for wizards. For example, telephones allow people to talk from thousands of kilometers apart. For instance, if you are in Vienna, you can contact me in London by telephone, just like a two- Two-way mirror Two-way mirror, but much more convenient and faster."

"Oh~" Veratia's eyes sparkled. "So, are phone calls expensive?"

"It's alright, it'll only cost a dozen Galleon anyway," Harry said, then turned to Veratia and said, "I actually think wizards should also incorporate some Muggle stuff and modify it... Look at Mr. LeMay, he even gave me a bag of Pound Sterling to buy him a computer... Oh dear, I forgot to buy him a computer, you'd better remind me tomorrow!"

Finally, Harry remembered that he needed to buy Mr. LeMay a computer.

"Okay, I'll think of reminding you tomorrow." Veratia forked a cherry and fed it to Harry. "So, tell me about the ways Muggle travel. I remember a hundred years ago they seemed to be similar to us wizards, with carriages, cars... and trains and ships. Now that so much time has passed, they must have developed even more advanced modes of transportation, right?"

"Yes, airplanes are all the rage now," Harry said to Veratia with a smile. "But airplanes are very fast; it only takes a few hours to get from London to Paris or Vienna ..."

"Then I want to take a plane!" Veratia clenched her fist, her eyes sparkling, and looked at Harry with great determination.

"However..." Harry looked at Veratia hesitantly, "You're from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and even according to your current affiliation, you're Austria, not Britain... Actually, I'm in a similar situation; I don't even have a passport, so I probably can't enter or leave the country, right?"

"What's the big deal?" Veratia said casually. "Isn't there Gringotts too?"

"Oh yeah! How could I forget Gringotts!" Harry punched his fist and said excitedly, "Gringotts still owes us a Basilisk Fang, we can't forget about that."

Veratia picked up a napkin and dabbed it on her moist lips.

"Okay then, let's go buy a computer tomorrow," Harry said to Veratia. "I think I should contact Hermione... the girl Ron likes. She's from Muggle-born family, so it would be convenient if she took us."

"Good."

Veratia suddenly lowered her voice and said in a very gossipy tone, "Tell me more about Ron and Hermione. I want to know how you figured out they were interested in each other."

"Intuition," Harry nodded. "Besides, despite Ron's constant talk about Hermione, Ron's always the first to stand up for her when Hermione's being humiliated by those Pure-blood Slytherin supporters."

"Oh!" Veratia nodded repeatedly. "Then why do you think Hermione likes Ron?"

"Because Hermione doesn't care about anyone else, she just likes to control Ron." Harry picked up a handkerchief and wiped his mouth. "There's a lot more, but I can't describe it, it's just what I instinctively think."

Veratia smiled faintly and looked at Harry for a while, leaving him completely bewildered.

She was secretly relieved and couldn't help but laugh.

As the saying goes, those involved are often confused, while bystanders see things clearly. From a bystander's perspective, she also saw through Cassandra's feelings for Harry.

But she understood Harry better. After all, in those days, marriage between commoners and nobles was absolutely impossible. A poor boy being chosen by a noble lady was something that only happened in fairy tales.

To put it simply, take her aunt, Princess Sisi, who was the daughter of a duke of Kingdom of Bavaria, and she was still ruthlessly tortured by her mother-in-law. How much more so for Harry, a "Muggle orphan".

Of course, what she didn't know was that even now, the marriage of Earl's daughter to the Prince of Wales was a major event that caused a sensation throughout Britain.

To say that Harry thinks Cassandra likes him would be laughable; he's just a toad trying to eat swan meat.

This is also why Veratia has always tried to blur this identity. The impression she left on Harry was first that of a bullied person, then an orphan, and finally a wizard. This is the point of resonance she found with Harry.

Harry stayed in Veratia's room until after 10 p. m., telling her about the changes over the past century.

Including his half-baked understanding of changes in the world order, in short... he talked about things that were completely irrelevant, but nonetheless it piqued Veratia's interest.

Veratia suggested that they should buy some related books to see the changes in recent years.

Gellert Grindelwald, far away in Nurmengard Castle, was suddenly awakened from his sleep.

He wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and took a long time to catch his breath.

The experience in his dream truly sent chills down his spine.

Oh my god...

He reached for the water glass beside him and took a big gulp.

He had a feeling that something bad was about to happen to him in the next couple of days.

The next morning, Harry knocked on Veratia's door.

Veratia had already gotten up. When she saw Harry come in, she smiled and said good morning to him.

"Let's grab something to eat and then take a taxi to Granger's house," Harry said to Veratia.

Veratia naturally had no objection. After quickly eating breakfast, she followed Harry to Granger's house.

"Have you packed everything?" Veratia asked uncertainly, then groped around on the headboard, as if to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything.

This has always been her habit, a habit she developed from being tricked by her sisters since childhood.

Back in Vienna, her sisters were envious of her becoming a lady-in-waiting to the Empress, so they secretly sabotaged her by hiding her belongings. As a result, Veratia earned the nickname "Careless Vira".

This misunderstanding wasn't cleared up until 1888 when Harry accompanied the Malfoy family on a visit to Vienna.

As a result, Veratia developed the habit of checking things multiple times before setting off, so as not to forget anything.

"Don't worry, Veratia," Harry patted his waist, "We're off now."

Last night, he temporarily released the black witch Farina, planning to catch her again after School Opening started and use her as a teaching tool.

As for Basilisk the Alfonso, he was still sleeping in the wallet. Harry had fed him two cows, and Alfonso was now quite content.

The two went out and hailed a taxi, which took them all the way to Granger's house's small villa.

Harry went up and rang the doorbell.

A moment later, Hermione came running out.

"Harry!" she called out happily.

After opening the door, she saw Veratia next to Harry and asked curiously, "And who is this?"

"This is my sister, Veratia," Harry introduced her.

"Hello, Veratia- neechan," Hermione greeted sweetly.

Upon seeing Hermione, Veratia felt relieved.

She knew Harry's personality well; although he was quite oblivious when it came to relationships, his standards were exceptionally high.

In other words, Harry likes pretty girls.

The Miss Granger in front of him... was indeed somewhat pretty, but only somewhat pretty, far from meeting Harry's standards for a partner.

"This is the house Dad just moved into," Hermione said, taking Veratia's hand and introducing it to Harry. "Do you remember when Dad converted all the family's money into US dollars? A while ago, some guy in America named Soros or something caused a financial storm in Britain, and the Pound Sterling's exchange rate against the dollar dropped by half, which means Dad's assets doubled..."

Harry looked at Hermione's little villa with a sense of awe, feeling a deep respect for Mr. Granger.

It must be said that Uncle Vernon was definitely not as smart as Mr. Granger —otherwise, the Granger's house would be doing so well.

"Financial crisis?" Veratia asked curiously.

"I don't really understand this either, but it's really messed up Britain's finances..." Hermione shook her head and sighed, "Life is really tough. America is really powerful now, and all of Europe has become its backyard to be taken at will. If it sneezes, the entire Europe economy will scream..."

"Has the situation become that serious?" Veratia asked, raising an eyebrow, a glint in her eyes.

"That's what my father said. I haven't heard him talk about these things much since I went to Hogwarts," Hermione said honestly.

Veratia snorted, thinking to herself that America was nothing but a nouveau riche; even they dared to ride roughshod over Europe? It seemed Muggle were truly incompetent...

"And what about the Magical World?" she asked again. "Is the Magical World also one of them, dominating us?"

"I don't know about that," Hermione said helplessly.

Harry glanced at Veratia with concern; he knew all too well how ambitious she was.

As a woman from the Habsburg Plain Yellow Black Banner, she would never accept that her beloved Austria had been shattered like that and trampled underfoot by the nouveau riche.

"What's wrong?" Harry asked with concern.

"It's nothing," Veratia said with a smile. "Aren't we going to buy a computer? When are we leaving? I also need to buy a few books— Hermione, do you have any books on international politics and history to recommend?"

"Okay, Veratia- neechan." Hermione giggled, and for some reason, she felt a sense of warmth and familiarity towards the older sister in front of her.

A short while later, Mr. Granger came out of the house.

"Askin," Harry greeted.

Veratia followed suit, saying, "Hello, Askin, I'm Harry's sister, Verathea Grindelwald."

"Hello, Miss Grindelwald." Mr. Granger didn't think much of it; he nodded politely and greeted Harry, "Hello Harry, we meet again."

Hermione suddenly felt that the name sounded familiar, but she couldn't remember where she had heard it before.

However, since she couldn't think of anything, she didn't dwell on it and got into the car with her father.

"What are you going to buy?" Askin asked curiously. "I heard from Hermione that you're going to buy some computers? Are wizards allowed to use computers now? I remember Arthur telling me that wizards are forbidden from abusing Muggle items."

"A friend asked me to buy it; his name is Nicolas Flamel," Harry answered truthfully.

"Nicolas Flamel?!" Hermione suddenly shrieked, turning around from the passenger seat and asking excitedly, "You know Nicolas Flamel? How do you know him, oh my god..."

"Do you remember summer vacation?" Harry said to Hermione. "It was around that time... I'll introduce you to him if the opportunity arises."

"Oh my god, oh my god, Dad!" Hermione couldn't contain her excitement. "Do you know that Mr. LeMay is an Alchemy who's over six hundred years old!"

"Oh, over six hundred years old." Mr. Granger was clearly distracted.

While in the car, Veratia kept asking Mr. Granger about computers, including their various components and performance features.

Mr. Granger was clearly very talkative, patiently explaining these computer-related facts to Veratia.

When it was time to get off the bus, Mr. Granger suddenly honked the horn.

"What? More than six hundred years?!" he exclaimed in shock. "My God, magic is truly amazing."

Hermione had never seen her father react so slowly before—though it might also be because of the interruption and the suggestive language, since her father really loves computers.

Mr. Granger led them into a shopping mall in London, first to a section that specialized in selling computers.

"Are you here to buy computers?" The sales clerk greeted them warmly, smiling as she said to Mr. Granger, "Are you planning to buy a home computer for your children? Why not take a look at this one? It has the latest Pentium 486 processor and can be had for only Pound Sterling 2,399."

Before Harry could speak, Veratia suddenly said, "Could you make it cheaper?"

"Excuse me, miss," the sales clerk said with a polite smile, "We're already offering the cheapest price..."

"But the Pentium 486 is a product from 1989, sir," Veratia said methodically. "The news also indicates that Intel Corporation will launch the brand new 586 processor next March. I don't think the Pentium 486 can still sell for this price at that point in time."

Harry and Hermione both looked at Veratia; the former was not surprised, while the latter was quite shocked.

I was astonished that Veratia, a pure-blood wizard, could grasp so much about computers in just a few words with her father in the car, and even apply it to bargaining...

Good heavens, Hermione thought she was already Academic Bully, but she never expected that this Miss Grindelwald in front of her would be like this...

Wait, Miss Grindelwald?!

Hermione suddenly felt a little suffocated as she remembered the contents of the Chocolate Frog Card.

Dumbledore defeated the Dark Wizard Grindelwald in 1945... Grindelwald...

However, Miss Grindelwald was still bargaining with the salesperson at a rapid pace and with clear logic.

The sales clerk was also shocked. He never expected that such an elegant-looking young lady could use her computer skills so fluently to bargain with him.

No, shouldn't a rich lady like you just buy it at a fixed price? Why are you haggling so undignifiedly?

"So, £1899, sir," Veratia finally revealed his true colors. "I think that's a reasonable price, considering the new 586 will be available next year... we're going to buy five, this is a great opportunity to clear out our inventory, don't you think?"

"Okay... alright." The saleswoman wiped the sweat from her forehead and agreed to Veratia's Dragon-Slaying Sword Technique.

"Please deliver it to this address." Mr. Granger left Granger's house address with the sales clerk and said, "Delivering it here is fine."

"Don't worry, sir," the sales clerk nodded and said, "We'll pay here."

They wasted a lot of time for those fifty Pound Sterling.

"Welcome to visit us again," the salesperson said at the end.

As Harry left, he looked at Veratia with a hint of admiration.

"You're amazing... If we had bought the computer together last time, I might have saved a few hundred Pound Sterling..."

After saying that, Harry noticed Hermione looking preoccupied behind him and asked with concern, "Hermione, what's wrong?"

"I..." Hermione hesitated for a moment before looking at Veratia.

"It's alright, Hermione." Veratia gently reached out and ruffled her messy hair. "Just ask me anything."

Hermione nodded. "Um... Sister Veratia, are you Gellert Grindelwald's junior?"

So that's the problem...

Veratia laughed and said to Hermione, "How could that be? I'm not his junior."

"So that's how it is..." Hermione finally smiled.

The little witch was terrified; she had thought this gentle and kind older sister was a descendant of the Dark Wizard.

However, she never imagined that this older sister was not a descendant of that Dark Wizard, but rather his elder.

My older sister, and we even share the same parents.

"Alright, where are we going now?" Mr. Granger asked at the opportune moment.

"Go buy some books, about politics and history," Hermione said to Mr. Granger. "Sister Veratia is very interested in these two subjects."

At this point, she lowered her voice and said, "It's about Muggle politics and history."

"Oh," Mr. Granger said, "Then I recommend you start with something introductory, such as Stavrianos's * A Global History *, which I think is very suitable for historical research..."

"Hmm... I think it's certainly worth reading other people's summaries of history, but if you only believe one side, you'll inevitably become biased... Are there any more direct methods? Like data that can corroborate their viewpoints?" Veratia reached out and ruffled Hermione's hair again. "From newspapers since 1890, or various data-driven writings that reflect the true historical situation..."

"Then you'll need to look at some specialized knowledge. I happen to have a friend who is a professor at the London School of Economics," Mr. Granger said with a smile. "If you'd like, I can have him make a list for you, and you can look at it in the library."

library?

Veratia's eyes lit up.

Libraries are great! All the books in libraries are free.

"However, if you want to learn something else..." Mr. Granger's expression and tone suddenly changed, like a DVD vendor, "I recommend you read some works from other countries, such as... such as those from the Soviet Union, so you can compare and contrast them."

"The Soviet Union?" Veratia asked with interest.

"That's right," Mr. Granger said mysteriously, "I happen to have a complete set of Soviet Union- published 'World History' at home, which I can give you; it's the original Russian version..."

"Great! I happen to know some Russian too," Veratia nodded happily. "Askin."

She is now full of energy. She not only wants to understand what happened in the past century, but also wants to understand how modern people view the past, and even more so, how history is viewed from different perspectives.

However, Veratia still bought some books from the bookstore, most of which were found in the secondhand book section.

In a corner of the bookstore, there was even a German original titled "Mein Kampf," which Veratia was very interested in and wanted to take a look at, but Mr. Granger stopped her.

"Good girl, don't read this stuff, Miss Grindelwald." Mr. Granger shoved the book back into the book. "It's just a story about a failed art student in Vienna struggling to succeed; there's nothing worth reading."

"Oh." Veratia nodded knowingly.

After finishing his shopping, Mr. Granger said with a smile, "Well, children, I think we should go back now—"

"Okay, Askin," Harry said. "But we need to go to Diagon Alley first. You and Hermione can go back first, and we'll Apparition back to Granger's house later."

"Apparition?" Hermione whispered. "Good heavens, Harry, this isn't something wizards under seventeen can use. You need a license first..."

However, Harry's words silenced Hermione.

"You're allowed to use the Imperius Curse?" Harry asked.

Hermione stared blankly ahead, feeling as if she would never be able to stand up straight again.

After leaving the mall, Mr. Granger took them to the Leaky Cauldron.

"See you tonight," Hermione waved to them.

She didn't know why, but from the first moment she saw Veratia, Hermione felt that the two of them got along very well.

After shopping at the mall, Hermione realized that this was a case of mutual respect between Academic Bully.

Veratia nodded and smiled at her, and after watching them leave, Veratia asked casually, "You actually taught them that kind of spell?"

"One should always understand the hardships of society," Harry said succinctly.

Veratia suddenly smiled.

She remembered the time Harry and Cassandra practiced the Imperius Curse together in the Crypt.

but...

That idiot didn't even realize back then that Cassandra was pretending to be controlled by the Imperius Curse...

However, Veratia didn't intend to point it out; she wouldn't give that arrogant guy any help.

The two passed through the Leaky Cauldron and arrived at Gringotts.

Of course, Harry didn't forget to drink the Ageing Potion.

"It's become a habit," Veratia said with a smile.

"So which one do you think is better? The smaller one or the one we have now?" Harry asked.

Veratia calmly rolled her eyes at him. "Everything's fine."

They entered Gringotts, and the Goblin immediately came forward to guide them to Scad's office.

"It's an honor, Mr. Potter, it's an honor."

When Scad saw Harry, he immediately stood up and greeted him.

"Who is this?" She saw Veratia.

"Oh, this is my friend," Harry said with a chuckle, "Valette 313, the owner of Vault 313, Verathea Grindelwald."

Upon hearing the name, Scad pinched himself hard to prevent himself from making a sharp, explosive sound.

"Y-you-you-you, hello, Miss Grindelwald!" he stammered. "It's an honor to have you back, my goodness, it's such an honor..."

After a flurry of activity, Scad finally asked, "Is there anything you two need? Gringotts will do everything in its power to help!"

"We need visas for two Muggle, and their identification information," Harry said to Scad. "I don't think that should be a problem for the well-connected Gringotts, right?"

So that's what you wanted...

Scad breathed a sigh of relief. Muggle visa? That's easy.

He smiled and said to Harry, "Don't worry, Mr. Potter, tomorrow morning... no, in just one hour, we'll have your and Miss Grindelwald's identity information and visas sorted out—absolutely legal and compliant!"

"Thank you so much."

Harry laughed and said he acknowledged Gringotts ' efficiency.

"Please leave me an address," Scad added. "Also, I need the two of you to help me take two photos."

After everything was finished, Harry said, "We need to go to Vault 313 and retrieve the last Princess crown."

"No problem, Mr. Potter," Scad quickly replied.

Even though she already knew the vault had been emptied, Veratia couldn't help but sigh when she saw the empty vault.

This was money she had saved up, penny by penny...

And just like that, that spendthrift Gellert took it all, and even squandered it all...

"Look, your Diadem." Harry walked in and took off the silver Diadem. "The last time I picked up this Diadem was in 1888. It's hard to believe that more than a hundred years have passed."

"Yes, more than a hundred years have passed..."

Veratia reached out and took the Diadem, speaking gently in her eyes.

"It seems that Gellert still has some conscience; he didn't take my Diadem and sell it too."

"In that case, I won't stop you from beating him up," Harry said seriously. "I might even help you."

Veratia smiled.

"What's the use? I'm just a useless person who has lost my magic power. I can't beat Gale."

"Okay, let's go back," she said. "Today we got our identification information and that... visa? Is that what it's called? After that, we can go to France."

After leaving Gringotts, Harry and Veratia Apparition to the Granger's house.

Harry didn't forget to take out Fiona the Phoenix and let her have some food too.

"Is she Phoenix?" Hermione gazed at the Phoenix with a dreamy look in her eyes. "She's so beautiful... Is she your Phoenix, Veratia?"

"Yes," Veratia nodded and said, "Her name is Fiona."

"Fiona? That sounds nice." Hermione completely echoed, reaching out to touch Fiona, but then hesitating.

Unexpectedly, Fiona instead extended her bird head to Hermione's hand.

"It's so warm!" she exclaimed in delight. "Is this Phoenix? I've been wanting to touch it for so long..."

Veratia ruffled Hermione's hair and looked up to survey the Granger's house's room.

She has sharp eyes and spotted a book on the table.

"State and Society?" She picked up the book. "The author... um... Vladimir Ilyich? Is this a Russian work?"

"Yes," Mr. Granger nodded and said, "I highly recommend you read this author's works; they may help you gain a deeper understanding of society and history."

"Okay," Veratia nodded and sat down on the sofa to begin studying seriously.

It wasn't until dinner time that Harry called her several times before she snapped out of her daze.

Just before dinner, the Gringotts Goblin knocked on the Granger's house ' door.

"This is for you and Mr. Potter, Miss Grindelwald," the Goblin said respectfully. "Please accept it."

"Thank you." Veratia smiled gently.

"It's what we should do." The Goblin bowed slightly and then vanished from the spot in Apparition.

The Granger's house had a lavish dinner, perhaps to entertain their guests.

During the meal, Mr. Granger kept bringing up the Weasley family boy and asked Harry why he hadn't brought him along.

After learning that Ron had returned home, Mr. Granger was still wondering whether he should invite the boy and his father over for dinner—he didn't like Ron very much, but he did like Mr. Weasley.

It wasn't just because Mr. Weasley was interested in the Muggle world, but also because of the mutual respect between men.

That evening, Veratia and Harry stayed overnight in the Granger's house's guest room.

The next morning, Mr. Granger drove them to the airport.

"You must write to me, Veratia!" Hermione said, waving her hand.

"I'll call you," Veratia said with a smile and a wave to Hermione.

It should be said that for someone a hundred years ago, the world of Muggle must have undergone earth-shattering changes.

Even Veratia was no exception, after all, she spent the first fifteen years of her life in the Muggle world.

If she were a pure-blood wizard, she might not think much of it, but it's a different story for Veratia, who lives in the Muggle world.

The Goblin bought all the plane tickets, which made Veratia quite happy, since it saved her a lot of money.

When the plane took off, Veratia looked a little pale. Harry noticed this and asked her with concern if she was alright.

Veratia shook her head to indicate that it was okay.

Around 10 o'clock, the plane finally landed at the airport.

"It was certainly a novel experience," Veratia commented after getting off the plane. "It would have been even better if it had been faster."

"You can't expect them to have Apparition speed, can you?" Harry said helplessly.

"But we really should be wary, Harry," Veratia said with concern. "Muggle are developing so fast. It's hard to imagine what their lives were like a hundred or even two hundred years ago... I really can't imagine what Muggle will be like in another fifty or even a hundred years. Will there even be no place for wizards to live in the future?"

"That can't be right..." Harry retorted instinctively.

Veratia didn't speak, but simply said to Harry, "Come on, take me to Mr. LeMay's house."

Harry reached out and took Veratia's slender wrist, leading her to the door of Mr. LeMay's house.

After knocking on the door, Harry heard a loud sob.

"Oh my god! It's the lady of the house!"

Luchi opened the door.

"Luchi?" Veratia exclaimed in surprise, "Ah, it really is you."

"Mistress..." Luchi sobbed, "I've heard everything. Young master Gellert is really wicked; he dared to steal your treasure... But it's alright... Mistress is back, everything will be alright!"

"Yes, I'm back," Veratia said with a smile, and walked into Mr. LeMay's Alchemy Room.

Inside the Alchemy Room, the the Scamander family were still there, as was Pabbie.

The moment Papi saw Veratia, Pabbie turned his head away and buried his head in the sofa, his tail wagging wildly.

"You can't see me, you can't see me..." she muttered softly.

Veratia knew about Pabbie turning into Unicorn, of course. She walked over to Pabbie and reached out to touch her back.

"Pabbie?" she asked softly.

"Here!" Pabbie pulled his head out and stood up straight immediately.

"Aren't you going to introduce me to your family?" she said with a smile.

"Oh." Pabbie glanced behind Veratia, saw Harry, and mustered her courage to greet him, "Ah, Harry— "

After greeting her, she secretly glanced at Veratia again, and seeing that Veratia didn't show any dangerous smile, she felt relieved.

"Ah, let me introduce you." Pabbie happily nibbled on Veratia's sleeve and pulled her to Theseus. "This is my great-nephew, Theseus Scamander."

"Hello, Mr. Scamander," Veratia said with a ladylike curtsy. "I am Verathea Grindelwald."

Theseus's pupils contracted sharply upon hearing Veratia's surname.

Tina stepped back, and Newt's arm twitched.

However, Theseus had seen a lot in life, and he quickly returned the greeting. "Hello, Miss Grindelwald."

If I'm not mistaken, this is Gellert Grindelwald's sister... But to be fair, this Miss Grindelwald is much more elegant and polite than her brother.

After introducing Newt and Tina, Pabbie cheerfully said, "Harry, Harry, Newt has agreed to your request. He will talk to Dumbledore at the beginning of next term and ask him to hire Hagrid as a teaching assistant."

"That's wonderful." Harry nodded with a smile. "I'll write to Hagrid in a bit; it's my Christmas present to him."

Unexpectedly, Mr. LeMay suddenly let out a long sigh.

"My sofa..."

He was referring to the transparent hole that Pabbie head in it.

Newt quickly finished tidying up for his aunt, pointing to the sofa. "Reparo!"

Mr. LeMay nodded with satisfaction, then trotted over to Harry and extended a hand.

"So, did you bring it? The computer I asked for?"

"I brought it." Harry took out his wallet, then suddenly remembered Alfonso.

After taking out all the computers, he walked over to Newt's side while Mr. LeMay was looking at them with a gleam in his eye.

Newt seemed a little uncomfortable and moved to the side, but he was unexpectedly drawn to a sentence from Harry.

"Mr. Scamander, I have a Basilisk here—a living Basilisk."

"Where?!" Newt's eyes lit up instantly. Forgetting his social anxiety, he quickly moved closer to Harry. "Mr. Potter, please forgive my intrusion, but I've only ever heard of Basilisk in legends, never..."

"Newt?" Tina suddenly said.

"Huh?" Newt looked up as his spellcasting was interrupted.

"You've talked too much." Tina stretched out her fingers and twirled them.

Newt then realized it was inappropriate and smiled shyly at Harry.

"It's alright, I understand how you feel, Mr. Scamander," Harry said with a smile. "But I have something important to ask Mr. LeMay for help with."

"What's going on?" everyone asked at once, including Pabbie was still having her head rubbed by Veratia.

Except for Mr. LeMay was still fiddling with his computer.

"Mr. LeMay?" Harry asked.

"Oh, I'm listening," Mr. LeMay said without turning his head, muttering to himself as he fiddled with the computer, wondering where this should go and where that should go...

Veratia rubbed Pabbie's head, and the latter looked content.

She said nonchalantly, "I've lost my magic, Mr. LeMay."

"Lost its magic?" Mr. LeMay finally raised his head.

He put down the electronic components in his hand, turned around and jogged to another room, returning a short while later with a Crystal Ball in his hands.

"Hold it here." He handed the Crystal Ball to Veratia.

Veratia took the Crystal Ball with both hands, looked down at it for a long time, but didn't see any reaction from Crystal Ball.

Mr. LeMay flicked his finger, magically putting the Crystal Ball back in, and then extended a finger and touched Veratia's forehead.

After a long pause, he frowned and said, "That's not right. Both my soul and body are in the state of a sixteen-year-old. Logically, I shouldn't have lost my magic... But I do have another way."

As he spoke, he waved to Harry.

"Harry, come here."

"Huh?" Harry looked up blankly and walked over to Mr. LeMay.

Mr. LeMay patted Harry on the shoulder and said to Veratia, "But you don't need to worry. You should know that my Philosopher's Stone has been completely absorbed by this Harry Potter."

Veratia asked, puzzled, "Mr. LeMay, what does this have to do with Harry absorbing the Philosopher's Stone?"

"Oh... that's a big deal." Mr. LeMay grinned, "You know what? Mr. Potter absorbed the Philosopher's Stone, which means he's now a walking Philosopher's Stone... and one of the Philosopher's Stone's effects is to help wizards quickly recover their magic."

"What can be done to help with the recovery?" Harry asked, looking up.

"Ah, this, this is easy."

Mr. LeMay tapped Harry a few times.

Pabbie and the Scamander family suddenly had a bad feeling; they had a feeling that the old Alchemy was up to something.

"Alright, all done." Mr. LeMay looked at Harry as if he were admiring his masterpiece. He turned to Veratia and said, "From now on... whenever you have physical contact with Harry, you can replenish your magic... but I need to remind you that the larger the area of contact, the faster you replenish your magic..."
