Earth Fallen
"All the equipment here is equipped with a local area network, and the walls and doors can block external electronic signals. Even Ultron wouldn't be able to detect us."
Steve pushed open the door and limped inside.
Suddenly, the dust that had been dormant in the Safe House for so long was disturbed by these uninvited guests and began to stir.
Peter went inside and glanced at the Safe House. The space wasn't large, probably only fifty or sixty square meters. The facilities were old, but everything was there.
It's likely that Nick Fury has used most of the embezzled funds to build the outer shell of the Safe House, leaving little money for upgrading the equipment inside. Even if they had advanced technology there, they wouldn't dare use it now; thinking of Ultron's abilities, the group still felt uneasy.
That guy is terrifying.
A single Ultron Robot might not seem like much, but an enemy that can move freely in the cyber world, monitor the entire globe, see everyone's every move, and possess the world's most powerful production line capable of producing countless robots in an endless stream, becomes far more terrifying.
Peter through the drawers, trying to find a bottle of Primus's healing potion, but unfortunately, this Safe House seemed to have been neglected for a long time and didn't have such a convenient medical drug. Barton, however, found some antibiotics, glanced at them, and found they weren't expired before giving them some water to Natasha.
Peter extremely guilty about his sudden change to such a miserable state.
"I'm sorry, if it weren't for me..."
"It's not your fault, Peter." Steve patted him on the shoulder and beckoned Bucky over to help him re-secure the deck on his feet. The previous work had been too rough, and even in this situation, he didn't forget to comfort the youngest Peter.
"Ultron is terrifying."
"I'm afraid all of this is part of its plan, and we are all just pawns in its game."
Recalling the series of events that had occurred not long ago, everyone felt as if someone had orchestrated everything behind the scenes.
Shortly after Spider-Man left Avengers Tower, news of the conflict between him and Ultron spread around the world. Many people believed that Spider-Man might indeed pose a threat, but some still trusted Super Hero.
Steve and the others naturally sided with Peter; they didn't believe that a good kid like Peter would do anything bad.
Even when paired with Venom, it's the same.
But soon, things took an uncontrollable turn.
A supervillain covered in sand inexplicably appears in New York and attacks Peter, who is on a date with Liz, injuring Liz, which enrages Peter.
But that wasn't enough to drive Peter into a rage, until the Sandman revealed his identity and purpose.
He had come looking for Ben and Aunt May, who had arrested him months earlier, and believed they were responsible for turning him into a monster, so he planned to kill them.
However, Ben and May were no longer on Earth at the time, so Sandman turned his attention to Peter.
This infuriated Peter.
He would not allow anyone to attempt to harm his family!
Peter and Venom went all out, showing no mercy in their fight to subdue Sandman. However, it was a clear case of physics against nature, and the two sides caused massive destruction in New York, injuring many innocent people. In the end, Peter couldn't hold onto Sandman, and he escaped.
However, Peter's angry expression towards Venom was captured on camera by a reporter named Eddie Blu.
Its demonic, ferocious appearance immediately made headlines in the Daily Bugle, seemingly confirming Ultron's earlier statement that the Symbiote Venom was a huge threat.
Spider-Man was suddenly caught in a huge media storm.
More and more people are beginning to boycott Spider-Man, viewing Spider-Man as a threat and demanding that Ultron and Tony Stark arrest Spider-Man.
Tony was naturally very pleased, but he hadn't lost his head. After learning the whole story, he knew it wasn't Peter's fault and rejected Ultron's proposal to arrest Peter Parker.
Ultron, however, did not rush into action. Instead, he took a step back and once again proposed containing Venom. He argued that other Super Hero besides Spider-Man could also be destabilizing factors that could lead to danger, and proposed the Super Hero Registration Act, which would require all Superpowers individuals to be monitored before they could act.
Tony had no objection to this.
He's always been the kind of person who likes to have everything under control. Besides, registering his identity information and details of his Superpowers isn't such a big deal, is it?
With this in mind, Tony convened the Avengers meeting once again.
There was no doubt that he had clashed with Steve once again.
But this time, Tony's voice was clearly more powerful.
After all, the destruction caused by Spider-Man and Venom was still fresh in everyone's mind. Tony didn't have any bad intentions; he just felt that it was important to keep Superpowers individuals under control before figuring out how to get them to carry out missions, in order to prevent any serious damage.
Is there anything wrong with that?
It's just a Registration Act, it's not like they're arresting you all, why are you so nervous?
As long as they all obediently follow the arrangements, there's nothing wrong with that.
He thought Steve and his group were making a mountain out of a molehill.
However, Steve firmly disagreed. Having experienced the Hydra incident, Steve could not tolerate Super Hero being treated as emotionless tools. They needed to have their own judgment to consider whether those orders were right or wrong.
The two parted on bad terms once again.
The meeting yielded no results, but it only exacerbated the Contradiction between the Super Hero and Tony Stark.
After the Daily Bugle published the meeting's contents, more and more people began to support the Registration Act, which put a lot of pressure on Steve and others. However, up to this point, the two sides had not yet reached a point of full-blown conflict.
Until one day, Connors suddenly lost control in the middle of the city and briefly transformed into Dinosaur Man.
Although no one died, many were injured, and the incident caused traffic chaos on several roads, leaving citizens terrified. Ultron seized the opportunity to launch an attack on the Galactic Plumbers, demanding the arrest of Connors and adding several people to his danger list, including Blu Banner.
Even Tony began to realize something was wrong—he didn't believe that Connors would inexplicably turn into Dinosaur Man again—but he couldn't stop it. This was no longer just Ultron's plan; it was public opinion driving it forward.
The Registration Act has become imperative.
Anyone who disagrees with the registration will be treated as an enemy!
In an instant, a hunt for Super Hero was launched, and the former heroes became rats in the street, losing their place of refuge.
Some people obediently accepted the Registration Act, while Peter and others paid a heavy price to barely escape from New York.
Venom has now disappeared, Harry and Norman have been placed under surveillance to cover their escape, and Primus has long been under Ultron's control.
The opposing side even listed the Galactic Plumbers as a dangerous target, hacked into the Planetary Shield network, activated the shield, and isolated the Galactic Plumbers's Space Station from Earth.
At this point, Ultron had practically taken control of the entire Earth.
With only a few of them left, they had no hope of defeating Ultron.
Now, there are only two paths left—one is to contact Ben as soon as possible and get support from the Galactic Plumbers, the all-powerful Ben will always find a way; the other is to return to New York, find Tony Stark, and ask him to stop the Ultron program.
"Tony definitely has a backup plan to stop Ultron, but I think he's gone mad."
Natasha, feeling dizzy after taking the medicine, leaned back in her chair and shook her head as she spoke.
No one responded.
The fact that they've gotten to this point is largely Tony's fault. If Ultron were so easily enlightened, he wouldn't be so rampant.
Moreover, simply returning to New York was highly unlikely; if they left the forests of the East Coast, they would be immediately discovered by Ultron.
"Peter, can you get in touch with the Ben?"
"Steve asked."
Peter shook his head, took out the emblem of the Galactic Plumbers's Guild, and placed it on the table. At this moment, the emblem seemed to have lost its power and did not respond no matter what he did.
"Ultron might have interfered with the communications..."
"However," Peter frowned, "The communication method used by the Galactic Plumbers is Quantum Communication, which is theoretically impossible to interfere with."
"It's not entirely impossible," Natasha shook her head. "I don't know if you've heard of Hank Pym."
After hearing her words, most people in the room shook their heads blankly, but Peter was very surprised, his eyes widening:
"You mean, Doctor Pym? That brilliant scientist in the Quantum Realm?"
"You know him?"
"We used to have his portrait on the walls of our school," Peter said with considerable admiration. "If it were Doctor Pym, it would indeed be possible to disrupt the communication of the Galactic Plumbers's organization by interfering with the Quantum Realm..."
Then his face fell.
"It seems we'll never be able to contact Benny again... By the time he returns to Earth on his own, it might be too late."
The others also looked desperate.
A moment later, as if regaining his resolve, Steve, supporting himself on his limping leg, stood up and said firmly, "No matter what, we must save the world from Ultron!"
"Since the possibility of Ben providing assistance is extremely slim, our only option is to find Tony and bring him to his senses!"
"With just the few of us, it's questionable whether we can even get to Tony..."
Natasha looked at everyone with a hint of despair.
With only Peter, Captain America, Winter Soldier, Bucky, and herself present, how could they possibly fight Ultron?
"If we go through the sewers, we might be able to avoid Ultron's sight," Peter said uncertainly.
"Let's go down the sewers!" Steve was always resolute and made a decision quickly. However, it would have to be postponed for a while. They had finally found a Safe House, so they should at least heal their injuries first.
at the same time.
In New York.
Tony Stark angrily slammed his phone aside, then buried his head in thought.
"Sir, Steve Rogers and his associates refused to comply with regulations and even engaged in combat with us at the docks, causing significant losses... In their attempt to evade capture, they have even resulted in the deaths and injuries of innocent civilians."
The animation of Ultron details the crimes committed by Steve and others.
Of course, most of the accusations were forcibly pinned on Steve and the others.
Now that Ultron has control of the entire network, whatever happens outside is entirely up to it.
If it weren't for the worry that Ben Parker might suddenly return, Ultron would have already begun its massive purge of Earth, and wouldn't have needed to feign compliance with Tony Stark.
The Planetary Shield was obviously no match for the enemy, because the Space Stone was still in Ben's hands, and that shield was useless against the Space Stone.
Fortunately--
"Once my new body is complete, I will no longer need to fear Ben Parker!"
Ultron's eyes gleamed.
Not long ago, it found two interesting Superpowers individuals who happened to have a grudge against Tony Stark, so it used them for its own purposes.
Those two were naturally Wanda and Quicksilver. Just like in the movie, Ultron also manipulated them. The difference was that this time they were actually acting on Ben's orders.
Ultron thought he had Wanda and Quicksilver under his control by exploiting their hatred, but this was actually just Ben's plan.
Connors' sudden loss of control, seemingly Wanda's doing, was actually planned long ago.
Now, Ultron believes it has taken control of Primus, obtained the Mind Stone (the fake one) from Mary Jane with Wanda's help, and controlled many other Super Hero. Now, only the final step remains.
The problem is that there isn't enough Vibranium.
Ultron desired a perfect body, therefore Vibranium was essential!
Fortunately, it knew where there was a sufficient amount of Vibranium.
Just then, Tony looked up and glared angrily at Ultron.
After hearing Ultron's one-sided report, he felt that Steve and his group's actions were simply too much.
Not wanting to be controlled is understandable, but it shouldn't lead to destruction wherever it goes, or even drag innocent civilians into it. Tony cannot accept that.
What pained him even more was that, according to Ultron's report, they seemed to have truly become the factor threatening peace.
Regardless, Tony felt that things couldn't continue like this.
We must bring them back and have a proper talk with them.
Where are they?!
Ultron's eyes flickered, and it raised its head, a human-like cunning flashing in its eyes:
"Black Panther T'Challa, protected them."
They are in Wakanda.
