Nature and Function

Luck is an unseen force that determines whether a being can encounter, recognize, retain, or claim major opportunities. It is frequently associated with Karma, Merit, Heavenly Secrets, and Destiny, but is not a guarantee of success or survival. 3 16 20

Opportunity Resonance

• The Three Pure Ones sensed that their own Luck had been disturbed when Qing Huan's transformation tribulation began; Taishang Laojun believed something that should have belonged to him was manifesting nearby. 3
• Minghe similarly felt that an opportunity connected to him was being obscured and might be claimed first by another being. 3
• Qing Huan and East Prince simultaneously sensed Penglai Island's emergence through an intense pull of opportunity. 46
