Background

Jiang Ping'an was originally known as Zhao Ping'an. As a child in the Jiang Family, he displayed photographic memory, learning the Thousand Character Classic with ease and mastering its characters within days 5 6. His martial talent emerged just as quickly: he learned Qingfeng Swordplay from Jiang Huaishan in a day, improved it into Gale Swordplay, and began teaching his older cousin in return 6.

At four years old, he had the stature of a ten-year-old and began formal martial training again under his maternal grandfather Jiang Wen, who taught him the Jiang Family’s Spirit Star Swordplay 12. He grew up under the protection and support of his mother, Jiang Shuyue, and the Jiang Family, despite his connection to the Zhennan Marquis Estate.

After leaving the Zhennan Marquis Estate’s confinement, he returned to Jiang Manor and provided the family with improved martial techniques and movement arts 25. During an expedition airship journey, he publicly abandoned the Zhao surname and became Jiang Ping'an, defending Jiang Shuyue and defeating several members of the Zhennan Marquis Estate 30.
