The Laboratory's Secret Space
Since being targeted by the FBI, Henry had moved all his secrets out of old Gary's apartment building. What remained was no longer anything with too much advanced technology. Important data was, of course, backed up off-site.
So it's not a big deal to throw things away here; we can figure out a way to clean them up later. Henry then left the spot where he could observe his house and returned to the Sheep Cave Valley Laboratory.
Unlike its kind, Kitty, who had just eaten, didn't lie down on a flat, large rock after eating.
Wild predatory animals can typically sustain themselves for one or two weeks on a single meal, and up to their limit, a month is not out of the question. Therefore, they will eat until they are stuffed while they have the chance, because no one knows when their next meal will come.
When you've just eaten your fill, you'll naturally reduce your activity level and feel lethargic.
But Kitty, who was used to being fed, didn't eat her fill like her wild counterparts. She ate three meals a day, just like Henry. So once she felt full, she would stop eating and then go on a rampage with boundless energy!
This is why Henry, upon arriving at Sheephole Valley, saw Kitty leaping between the boulders and the ravines, just like her fellow mountain kings.
Perhaps because I brought Kitty here so many times, the area around Sheep Cave Valley Laboratory has become tainted with the Tiger's scent, so many wild animals avoid the area.
Whether or not they have seen Tiger, the apex predator signal in their hormonal scent is ingrained in their DNA and cannot be faked.
Without cats or innocent little animals to chase and play with, Kitty can only find ways to move around by exploring this wilderness. At least it's not the same old cat tree, so there's something new and exciting here.
Henry didn't disturb the Tiger that was frolicking. In any case, the nearest living person was more than 20 kilometers away, far beyond the Tiger's territory. He didn't need to worry about it hurting anyone, nor did he have to fear it being shot.
Henry unlocked the door and entered the laboratory. Through a hidden door behind a shelf in the shipping container, he entered the second secret space.
This is a cave carved out of the rocky terrain, used to store things they didn't want exposed, including nearly 600,000 taels of illicit money.
Even those who broke into the lab by picking the lock couldn't have imagined there would be a second layer of space. Even if they were found, they would have to decide whether to enter the Dark Dimension that required climbing to reach it.
Henry's survival here relies entirely on his Kryptonian flight and night vision. If there's another person like him, or someone with such a strong spirit of adventure, then he'll just have to accept it...
The reason we're here is obviously to get some equipment for doing bad things, like a set of night clothes.
A question that has troubled Henry for a long time: when he's about to do something bad, why doesn't he first put on a cover and play dirty tricks, instead of confronting people head-on without any pretense?
Exhibitionism? Running naked is the mark of a real man? Revenge on the spot? And then, with irrefutable evidence, like someone who's been treading a sewing machine for over ten years? Mutual destruction is the new trend?
The old saying goes, "A gentleman takes revenge even after three years," so why is it that nowadays the prevailing practice is "A petty person takes revenge from morning till night," a street thug-like approach?
That's true. What If...? everyone were so shrewd and could understand the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, it would make Uncle Hat's cases much more difficult. So those old, outdated ideas should be discarded; keep it simple, like the gangsters.
Henry sticks to his own approach; superhuman strength is a last resort, Super Brain is the priority. He'll use cover before committing any wrongdoing, instead of handing over evidence to others and then gloating about it.
The idea that a successful infiltration and assassination is achieved without witnesses is something only possible in the Middle Ages. Modern scientific forensic techniques only present the question of whether one wants to do it and whether sufficient evidence can be found.
S.H.I.E.L.D. S. H. I. E. L. D. might be able to act on mere "suspicion," but ultimately, convincing others and making a judgment still relies on "evidence."
Considering that having the clothes made by someone else might expose his identity, Henry used Gold Coin to buy Kevlar fabric directly from the Continental Hotel —the same material they use to make bulletproof suits—and sewed it himself.
To conceal his physique, this night suit wasn't tailored in a tight or perfectly fitted way. Instead, he used padding to alter his height, width, and shoulder angle without hindering movement.
The shoes were also made a few sizes larger, and some small props were hidden inside. The gloves were the most troublesome part, because they had to allow for dexterity of both hands, so the fabric couldn't be too thick, nor could it alter the shape of the palms too much.
It's fair to say that arm length and hand size are the most difficult parts to adjust.
Then there's the full-face hood, which doesn't expose the eyes or ears, and even covers the mouth and chin. From the outside, it really looks like a smooth, preserved egg, with only the nose protruding and no other noticeable features.
This design is certainly not without its drawbacks; at the very least, the Kryptonian abilities of Heat Vision and freezing breath cannot be used unless one has to self-destruct their helmet.
Speaking to others is done via a bone conduction Mike and speaker in the neck, which has a built-in voice-changing effect. This allows the speaker to speak without opening their mouth, so no one can recognize them by their voice because it's not their own voice.
This night suit covered every inch of skin, leaving no trace of skin exposed. Made entirely of black Kevlar, this suit took Henry considerable effort to design and was arguably the first combat outfit he ever created for himself.
... The Joker costume doesn't count; that was just a ready-made outfit bought from any random store.
The primary function of the night-clothes he designed was to conceal himself. Trying to identify him solely by his physique and frame would only lead to incorrect answers.
Previously, her face was covered in makeup so much that people were able to recreate her appearance under the makeup. Luckily, she had taken a second precaution, which prevented her from being tracked.
Henry didn't believe he could be like Superman, wearing glasses and not wearing glasses and still be recognized as the same person. Henry hadn't yet figured out how to make glasses with hypnotic effects.
Apart from that, they still rely on the inherent abilities of Kryptonian to survive.
The reason I deliberately sought out Kevlar fabric to make this suit was, of course, because I remembered the previous tragedy. I was bulletproof, but my suit wasn't; after being targeted by multiple attackers, I survived, but there was a possibility of social death. So I obediently had this bulletproof vest made.
Then there's the weapon... Henry still had a retractable baton hanging on his body. Although it wasn't as powerful as his fists, it served as a disguise and reduced the chances of his superpowers being exposed.
Wearing this outfit, a strong sense of déjà vu washes over me. All Cloak's missing is a cape and two pointy ears, and I could easily pass for Batman...
No, I'll stick with calling myself Black Super. The previous name is unlucky; I'll do some good for my Krypton parents, who may or may not even be alive. What If...? my parents are both alive but lack the power to do so?
After preparing everything, Black Super used the starry sky to conceal his flight and returned to Maria Rambo's home in Louisiana.
Thanks to these high-tech civilizations, reconnaissance still relies on sight. Moreover, Captain Marvel, besides her strong combat abilities, doesn't possess corresponding reconnaissance capabilities.
Of course, those are all depictions in comics, animations, and movies. Based on Black Super's experiences of being scammed over the years, don't treat people like idiots or people from the Stone Age; you might end up getting hurt by your own arrogance.
In reality, these people behave in a much more rational and reasonable way.
So Black Super landed ten kilometers away, observing the Skrulls ' movements to avoid arousing their suspicion, while stealthily approaching.
