Kingo's Request

A moment of silence made the atmosphere in the tent slightly awkward.

However, Kingo's thoughts didn't last long. He exclaimed, "As far as I know, Krypton was able to rise to power and threaten the Skrull Empire in a relatively short time because of their unfathomable wisdom."

"But that unpredictable madness makes it difficult for other planetary civilizations to cooperate with you. Otherwise, there would be no Shi'ar Empire today, and Krypton would be the dominant power, becoming the third empire in the near -Milky Way Galaxy."

Although it was a compliment, Henry felt a sense of detachment. "I'm an abandoned child. Such praise of Krypton doesn't resonate with me or make me feel proud." Besides, he wasn't a native; he was a transmigrator!

"This is also a compliment, Mr. Brown," said Kingo. "Please accept it humbly. And I also need to give you a test."

At this point, Henry frowned. He hated being tested for no reason.

"--Don't be offended, Mr. Brown. This is good for you too. I can cooperate with your research and study whatever you want."

Henry was now truly bewildered. He asked, puzzled, "Cooperate with my research? What do you mean?"

"It's exactly what it sounds like. I can accommodate any curiosity you may have about the Eternals. Oh, but that doesn't include anything that would harm me or be invasive. What you gain from this can't be considered a benefit, can it?"

After a moment of contemplation, Henry asked curiously, "Since you say this is a test, but it seems the benefits are being offered directly, what do you need me to do What If...? I pass?"

Kingo said seriously, "If you can understand the technology or physiology of the Eternals and reach my standard, I do have a favor to ask of you."

"It concerns my compatriot, a dear friend of mine. She has some problems here—" Kingo nodded, "—that I hope you can help resolve, even just take a look would be helpful."

It seems to be related to Thena, the female war goddess of the Eternals.

Before agreeing, Henry asked, "Hmm, it sounds like something related to the brain or consciousness. Don't any of your compatriots have healers or other technologically skilled individuals who can handle such a situation?"

Kingo replied, "Our leader is someone with healing abilities. But for this condition, her advice is to erase all memories and start anew."

"Because we believe that this condition is caused by the knowledge and memories accumulated over a long period of time exceeding the capacity of our brains."

"But you should also understand that, after losing her past memories and all the experiences of fighting alongside us, is she still the person we know?"

"We don't want to lose such a friend. It would be so sad to look at her face and have to treat her like a stranger. That's why this matter has dragged on until today and remains unresolved."

"Another reason we'd seek you out is that you don't have preconceived notions. I want to hear what solutions the Kryptonian would offer when faced with this symptom."

Henry then asked, "And what about your tech expert? Is he also at a loss?"

"He's just a sensitive coward, completely useless. And ever since he thought he made a big mistake, he hasn't wanted to study anything anymore. I can't be bothered to try and persuade him," Kingo complained disdainfully.

It seems the Eternals aren't a monolithic entity after all, Henry thought to himself.

He then asked, "Didn't you consider going directly to Professor X? Since you're already living in this era, why not seek out the true authority in this field?"

"We don't believe in Mutants," Kingo said firmly. "Especially Mutants with clear stances and consistent attitudes, even if they are considered to be on the side of justice by others."

"Because the Mutants we've encountered are all incredibly stubborn and inflexible, leaving us with absolutely no good impression. I don't think the X-Men will be any different; the Brotherhood of Mutants or the Hellfire Club are all the same."

"Besides, the X-Men are too conspicuous and their targets are too obvious. If we make contact with them, we could very well expose ourselves to other people's attention."

"We've seen countless people survive in Extremis, and their greatest skill is dragging unrelated people into their mess. So, my advice is to avoid getting involved with Mutants."

Okay, that's almost become a consensus. But Henry still spoke up about his own situation, "If we're talking about being conspicuous, I'm probably not less conspicuous than the X-Men right now. It has nothing to do with me being involved?"

"Hehe, we have something in common. Using movies as a cover is the perfect solution for us."

That's absolutely right, and it's a major reason why Henry decided to contact Kingo. We're publicly discussing collaborative projects in the film industry, but who would suspect that behind the scenes we're talking to the Eternals and the Kryptonian?

However, this also reminded Henry that the business deals on the surface hadn't even been discussed at all.

"Speaking of movies, how do you hope to collaborate? I accept all the challenges you mentioned, but we also need to deliver on the surface. Right?"

Kingo nodded and said, "I hope to at least reach an agreement on importing film-quality digital imaging equipment from Stark Studios; ideally, it would be a collaborative effort involving technology transfer and the production of the equipment in India."

Henry immediately nodded and said, "That's fine. However, equipment manufactured in India can only be sold and serviced within India."

After a moment's thought, Henry added, "This scope can be expanded to countries in South Asia and West Asia. After all, doing business directly with the United States in these areas presents many challenges, and the market is small. Entrusting it to you is just right."

This time, it was Kingo's turn to widen her eyes in surprise and say, "You agreed just like that?"

"Why not."

"But is it possible to meet that limitation you mentioned?" Kingo asked, bringing up a topic related to the film.

Henry chuckled and replied, "It's very simple. This device is based on computer technology, so whether it's locking regions or automatically adding authentication messages like watermarks to source files, it's a very easy thing."

"The more traditional approach is to label the product with a serial number and register it. If India equipment appears in Hollywood, we not only refuse to repair it, but also ban its screening qualification, or even lock it up directly, making the equipment unable to play."

"As long as the relevant terms are clearly stated in the contract and explained to the buyer, a business strategy with limited scope can be protected by law. Of course, some gray areas are beyond our control, and we don't need to."

Kingo revealed a cryptic smile. "Willing to cede such significant benefits, it seems you also have designs on the Eternals. What do you want?"

"Battle suit."

Even Superman has his classic battle suit with his family crest and red underwear on the outside. It's not like having Steel Body means he'd just rush off to maintain world peace.

Henry wanted the Eternals ' suit system, not just because his clothes were riddled with bullets and he could only move around by flying. He wanted a suit that could withstand radiation and preferably also had stealth capabilities.

What kind of radiation does it protect against? It protects against Kryptonite radiation, of course!
