Dark War
It wouldn't be accurate to say they recruited Blade's team. However, in the war against the Vampires, Black Super gained a powerful henchman.
There's no limit to which Vampires you can or can't fight. Anyway, all these fanged Vampires are just asking for it; none of them are innocent.
Jasper Bardem spent another day at Blade's secret base. Although he woke up feeling somewhat uneasy, Jasper Bardem, who had been through the streets, was no stranger to dealing with people like Blade and Abraham Whistler.
Before long, he was already on friendly terms with Abraham Whistler, treating Blade like a nephew or niece. This made the black half- Vampires somewhat depressed.
Cruella de Vil's side was in a hurry, Black Super took the initiative to help delay him for a day. Only after confirming that he was not affected by the Vampire Virus was Jasper Baden reluctantly escorted away and returned to England.
As for his task of delivering the invitations, it naturally came to nothing, and was instead sent out by Stark Studios ' mailroom. However, with the association with Vampires, far fewer Hollywood stars were willing to attend.
Blade and Abraham Whistler's secret base remained unchanged, with Black Super assisting in enhancing the surveillance system and its coverage. A tiered alarm would be triggered whenever anyone approached the warehouse area.
The surveillance equipment even secretly connects to the police database, and if someone has a criminal record, they can use facial recognition to provide that information in advance.
However, the identification systems available in this era are not very accurate; they are better than nothing.
The Black Super provides this software and hacks into police databases is, of course, to obtain more data so he can improve his own systems in the future. If he gets caught, it's not like he's the one using it; having someone else take the blame is much better.
Developing UV Bullets and Silver Nitrate Bullets was not difficult; Black Super provided the technology and manufacturing equipment directly, only lacking the personal instruction to Abraham Whistler on how to make these special bullets.
Anyway, spending money or being exposed as a white-collar worker isn't a big deal, as long as someone helps fight Vampires, and they're especially dedicated.
Black Super will do the work of a behind-the-scenes boss this time.
For Blade and Abraham Whistler, it was even less of a big deal. Whether they had sponsors or not, they were going to fight Vampires. Now that someone was sending them money and bullets, they were certainly having even more fun.
And just as Black Super had predicted, Hollywood was thrown into Dark World as Blade unleashed wave after wave of bloodshed, while the public eye remained calm.
Blade wasn't very active before because of limited ammunition. The money he could get from killing Vampires and looting their spoils might not even be enough to buy the silver cone that killed Vampires.
Not to mention the force with which he fired, adhering to the consistent style of the U.S. military, treating bullets as if they were free.
During the Vietnam War, it took an average of 70,000 bullets to kill one enemy. Blade's stats weren't that bad, but the bullets he carried usually ran out after killing only a few Vampires, leaving him with no choice but to use melee weapons to finish off the rest.
After each battle, Blade has to go into hiding for a period of time. Besides investigating new Vampires strongholds, he accumulates ammunition; then he does some side jobs at the Continental Hotel to supplement his income. No wonder this guy recognizes Gold Coin.
But with Black Super's sponsorship, Blade's incubation period can be shortened. And then the Vampires are in trouble.
In contrast to the flamboyant nature of Vampires hunters, and with the radical Vampires yet to rise to power, Blade's actions have actually made the Vampires more restrained, rather than prompting them to launch a large-scale retaliation.
If Blade and Abraham Whistler were so easy to deal with, they would have been dead long ago. Why would the Vampires, their old nemesis, have spared their lives until now?
The apparent calm is evident in the atmosphere of Hollywood. Some of the chaotic parties and bizarre invitations have disappeared.
This doesn't mean the Vampires ' operations have stopped. Because they have a group of dying Old Money backing them, their operations have only become more clandestine and bloodier.
The reason for pausing public affairs is to prevent them from becoming clues that would bring the Daywalker, that vengeful ghost, to their doorstep. The group of Vampires that were hunted down were a consequence of acting too carelessly.
However, Blade, who was eager to be on duty every day, found his movements restricted by intelligence once his ammunition was no longer limited.
With each hideout destroyed by Blade, the Vampires hide even deeper. Unearthing them won't be easy.
While Black Super could be helpful in this regard, he didn't want to turn himself into a human radar, spending all his time searching for Vampires.
While Kryptonian possess powerful Super Senses, this is ultimately a passive way of gathering intelligence, and the cost is time. Don't assume that those who do bad things will repeat their plans 24/7; Nitrogenians can eavesdrop on conversations at any time.
They'll strongly support Blade, but isn't that just a way to save themselves the trouble by paying money without putting in any effort?
For him, all he needed to do was suppress the Vampires ' activities and keep them from bothering him.
Who has the time or inclination to help the Legion on United States soil eradicate this cancerous growth of Vampires? Even the U.S. government isn't doing this; why are they just wasting their time?
At the end of June, Henry was invited to Paris to attend Cruella de Vil's menswear fashion show as an audience member. Charlize Theron accompanied him.
Upon arriving at Cruella de Vil de Vil's show, Charlize, as if on purpose, headed Cruella de Vil backstage. Ignoring whether the "witch designer" was incredibly busy, she went straight to find fault!
"Capri trousers paired with black and white striped stockings—is this United Kingdom hunting attire from the last century? Cruella de Vil, is this what you're trying to portray?"
"Fashion is cyclical; each era has its own style and themes. I can understand if you don't understand these things. But if your criticism is inadequate, reveals your own shallowness, and makes you a laughingstock, that's not my fault."
The two women were like fighting cocks, constantly exchanging veiled insults and sharp exchanges whenever they met.
However, Cruella de Vil never stopped managing the models' movements. One moment she was instructing her assistant to add or remove equipment, and the next she was directly posing the models herself.
Charlize Theron's mouth never stopped, but her hands and feet were very measured; she didn't interfere with Cruella de Vil's actions, nor did she damage the models' poses or clothing.
After saying hello, Henry went to a spot by the wall where he wouldn't disturb anyone. This was also partly because both Baden were there.
"Henry," Jasper Bardem greeted him first.
When he encountered trouble before, it was this man in front of him who found someone to resolve the issue and handle the aftermath. If it weren't for Henry, he might have been killed in Los Angeles.
So for Jasper Bardem, Henry Brown was his savior, so his attitude was naturally much warmer.
Horace Baden was certainly aware of his companion's predicament. Even though he was rather slow to notice, he became more friendly towards his friend, taking the initiative to greet him as well.
"Jasper, Horace, good day," Henry replied just as cheerfully.
