"Thumbelina" was a story from "Andersen's Fairy Tales."

Once upon a time, there was a woman who desperately wanted a tiny child, but she had no idea how to obtain one, so she went to ask a witch.

The witch gave her a magical seed resembling a grain of wheat and told her to plant it in a flowerpot.

When the tulip-like flower bloomed, Thumbelina was born from its bud.

The story also explained that Thumbelina was first kidnapped by a mother toad and her son, then took refuge in a mole's home after escaping, where she faced a political marriage with the mole.

At the moment of despair, the swallow she had once helped flew with her to the Kingdom of Flowers, where she met a flower fairy prince whose size matched hers.

In the end, the prince became king, Thumbelina became his queen, and the two lived happily together.

But that wasn't important. What mattered was the process by which Thumbelina was born!
