Background / History

Yun Xiao is Zhao Gongming's eldest sister and the eldest of the San Xiao. Xian Junyu recognized her, Bi Xiao, and Qiong Xiao as the three sisters he had been seeking when Zhao Gongming brought them to the Intercepting Sect. 103

At Mount Jieshi, Xian Junyu prematurely dispersed the sisters' Transformation Tribulation with Quasi-Saint power. Yun Xiao took human form alongside her sisters and met him for the first time; the two were immediately struck by one another. Tongtian subsequently accepted the San Xiao and bestowed treasures upon them. 106 107

Zhao Gongming later asked Xian Junyu to guide his sisters' cultivation. Yun Xiao followed Xian Junyu to Penglai's Three Immortal Islands, where Tongtian instructed him to guide the San Xiao. 115 124

Before entering a seclusion expected to last several Yuan Hui, Xian Junyu entrusted Penglai and Luofeng's care to Yun Xiao. She accepted the responsibility despite her surprise at learning of his plan to establish the Human Dao against the Heavenly Dao. 139

Tongtian later arranged Yun Xiao's marriage to Xian Junyu. Although she initially misunderstood the proposal as concerning all three sisters, she agreed to the union; Xian Junyu's divination confirmed that they possessed a fated connection. Yun Xiao can also act as Xian Junyu's mediator and political counterweight. She successfully persuades him to spare Longji and leave Yao Ji's judgment to the Jade Emperor, and later refuses Xuanming's request to station Heavenly Court troops near Penglai. 180 181 217

Investiture of the Gods

When Zhao Gongming leaves Penglai to aid Wen Zhong, Yun Xiao refuses to abandon her brother even after Xian Junyu warns that entering the tribulation could lead to permanent death and investiture.
