Background
Hekate was born into the Calilans family as Count Fortes and Audrey's third child. Quiet, inconspicuous, and initially judged to have mediocre talent, she was closer to her younger sister Loria than to her elder siblings Revolen and Edith 1.
At age twelve, Hekate's Witch Bloodline began modifying her body at a rate of one percent per day. Though anxious about becoming a witch and unable to explain the change to her family, she accepted the transformation rather than abandon the power that had raised her Magic Aptitude to its peak 2. By the time her bloodline reached ten percent, she had unlocked Star Speech and decided to attend Grants Academy away from home to conceal her condition 3.
Hekate entered Grants Academy under Professor Emand's recommendation, chose Meditation Studies under Ivin Anxia, and focused almost entirely on cultivation. Her rapid advancement, unusual magic absorption, and increasingly feminine appearance drew suspicion, prompting her to hide her true level with Eternal Moonlight 7 10 12.
Appearance
Hekate is a petite witch with delicate features, black hair, and black eyes. Her Witch Bloodline gradually softened her appearance until others struggled to distinguish her as male or female; after fully becoming a witch, she retained a youthful, childlike physique due to the Longevity Talent 8 14 16.
- Her natural body was recorded at approximately 1.45 meters after the Body of Stars evolved; activating Starlight raises her height to roughly 1.6 meters 234.
- Her hair is commonly black and ranges from shoulder-length to waist-length depending on Gift of Fate costs and her own choices 19 194.
- In her Starlight state, her hair and eyes become brilliant gold and a pillar of power visible only to her descends from the sky 140.
- She frequently uses transformation equipment or magic to alter her appearance and height when discretion is useful 223 262.
- Her Longevity Talent halts physical aging and leaves her permanently youthful 8.
Personality
Hekate is intensely independent and cultivation-focused. She avoids political office, noble obligations, and academy conflicts whenever possible, preferring to quietly become stronger rather than compete for attention 7 13 30. Even after becoming powerful enough to influence nations, she repeatedly rejects formal authority when it would interfere with her freedom or research 30 389.
Despite this detachment, Hekate is protective of people she accepts as her own. She shelters Natasha after her family's death, takes Furia into the Astrology Tower when her Sea Witch bloodline awakens, and repeatedly rescues or strengthens her teachers, friends, disciples, and allied civilizations 18 32 50 319.
Her mercy is conditional. Hekate spares enemies who cease being threats, but she is ruthless toward assassins, abusive nobles, Evil Gods, and those who endanger people under her protection 107 129 385. As her responsibilities expand, she becomes more willing to act alone for the greater good—an impulse that repeatedly hurts and worries her companions 510 512.

- She gained Touch of Perception after transforming into the defeated Evil God Morgantis, improving danger perception and enabling mental tendril attacks 448.
